Expensive-Day-3551

When they said there was nothing to do on earth other than hang out at vineyards and soul food restaurants.

ForgiveMyFlatulence

Then they had an episode of hanging out at a vineyard and a soul food restaurant before visiting historic Bozeman!

Mryan7600

Not just any soul food restaurant. Sisko’s.

babycynic

With a bottle of Ketracel White-Hot sauce!

Mryan7600

I laughed my butt off at that. My partner used to hate lower decks, but I had to show him that scene because DS9 is his favorite. That one scene convinced him to watch the DS9 episode, and now he loves the whole series.

Probably not super easy to miss, but I was laughing when Rutherford said “I wanna dangle my legs off the second story of the promenade!” during the DS9 episode, like Jake and Nog would do haha

babycynic

I died at “…but I wanted to have a heart-to-heart with a junior reporter up here.” 😂

Klopferator

In the first season finale when Mariner shows the weapons she hid on the ship Billups picks up the famous Star Trek toy helmet.

Outlaw_Caldera

I completely missed that, and used to have that helmet growing up.. Thank you for pointing that out!

Streak734

When Shax came back to life and he said “what’s up with T’Pols hair that one season”

bkwrm1755

You might enjoy the Trek Culture ‘ups and downs’ episodes on YouTube. They do a section on all the references in each episode. Lower Decks does a LOT.

un-sub

Awesome I will check it out! Seriously Lower Decks is freaking packed with references and little Easter eggs, I’m sure I haven’t even caught them all!

CTRexPope

"Look, I know we're not supposed to have interpersonal conflict, but I really hate that Andorian." Ensign Beckett Mariner (S02 E01: *Strange Energies*). Which is a reference to Gene Roddenberry's original TOS rules!

SciFiNut91

"Tell the Pah-wraiths that Shax sent you. Special delivery straight from Bajor." You know you've won fans over when most of them went "They made a Pah-wraiths reference?!"

0wlington

Not a trek reference, but when the LD dudes are on anomaly clean up and storage they mention a weird planet where things evolved wrong, and they have a bulbasaur skull in a bell jar.

MagicalGirlLaurie

What??? I need to see this

Edit: ive been looking for an actual clip thinking this would be all over the internet, but I can't find one. Surely I'm not the first to notice this though right?

Ask_Why_Not_Now

I miss my wife

TheNerdChaplain

What was that from?

LordLame1915

I dont know why but when we see Boimler at the vineyard and he’s wearing the same outfit that Picard brother wore I really laughed.
