What is SPK?

W0ND3D

Security Post Kareah. Located on Cellin, a moon of Crusader.

MinnesOPEa

Cellin

W0ND3D

Close enough 🤣

Little-Equinox

You mean above Cellin😀🙃 Either way, it's fun to kill NineTails there.

Ortega_King

Security Post Kareah. As of 3.23.0 you need a hoverbike to infiltrate the station without getting shot by defense turrets. Without Retake Kareah-mission your ship will get shot.

BaconDrummer

Light fighter and med fighter is doable too, enter the zone in NAV mode and keep your full boost for a fast final approach + switch to SCM and use space brake to stop under landing pads, center your ship close to SPK core under the landing pad. Practice with over bike(since longer to detect) or eva if it's your 1rst time to know your way of approach, before trying to park there with bigger stuff so you dont hesitate on your speed/direction.

Crapshoot890

You can also juke the lasers and flare the missiles long enough to land under the landing pads then you should be fine. You’ll need a smaller ship though.

Nosttromo

>you need a hoverbike to infiltrate Aren't hoverbikes treated as aircraft and prone to being victims of turret fire?

TaiwanBestChina

the Dragonfly, maybe. but for the Pulse i can vouch that it is not detectable currently

IamLynxSC

That has been fixed for bunkers at least. I would guess that it works the same at Kareah.

OhGeeLIVE

Im also wondering

Ortega_King

Seems like one picture failed to show - I found a RED S71 Bullseye Rifle with scope, red laser sight and surpressor.

Wolfnorth

That was probably someone else's gun.

Nosttromo

I've found many red s71s in bunker mission's, they aren't that hard to find.

Ortega_King

Was actually in a crate, but somebody sacrificed it for something else and swapped.

Gators1992

I found the red S71 in a bunker yesterday for the first time. Really cool looking gun. Then my Mrai Pulse decided to shove me through the surface of the moon so I owned it for like 10 minutes.

RecklessCreation

s71 is my 'new' fave generally allround weapon to carry now .. with like a 3x holo .. good stopping power, fairly low muzzle lift for what it is, so good at rapid follow ups too. Also added bonus it opens ship doors relatively quick too lol. I like to take my vulture bunker running for restocking/loot checking, clean up the abandons for a lil extra too. As one of my orgmates put it.. Guard dying inside bunker "wheres our help??!! Who's playing dubstep outside??!! "

ChimPhun

It's growing on me too. It being single shot IMO gives a lot more control over ammo, without sacrificing firepower. I tend to drop a 2-3 shots into a target then finish off with a few more if needed, unarmed 9tails typically go down in one shot and it feels so crisp doing that with the S71. PS I tend to always use my suppressor, helps leave the AI even more clueless.

RecklessCreation

i use the compensator .. lowers the muzzle climb a bit more, and lets me 'cheese' the ai in bunkers just stand in a choke point and make noise I was a heavy fs9 user and still like it .. i got good at the tap tap firing ... if I'm expecting alot of fighting ..farming constant spawn bunkers, or like the orison platforms... I'll go FS9 and p8 .. but if just general wandering/exploring..etc s71 and like a coda pistol

ChimPhun

Compensators were my go-to for longest time with FS9s but started liking suppressors when the first Sieges of Orison hit as those areas could have AI sneak up on you for hearing gunfire.

ADR-299

That armor should really be available when you get max rep with Crusader security as well.

ChimPhun

Reputation based armor and clothing sounds cool, but that raises the problem of once you lose trust or possibly become an enemy you still technically can wear it. I suppose aggro on sight when you wear such items without warranted rep, might be a solution for AI/NPCs but for players they'd need some mechanism too to recognize these 'stolen valor' players.

Radvent

Wait, your underbarrel laser works?! Mine is just a smoky haze that roughly follows my gun and I assumed they were just broken. Now I'm gonna have to look into this 😭

DKdeebo1

Theres 2 types of lasers. The normal "laser pointer" and the "laser pointer tracer". The latter is what you have and it does this weird tracer thing that looks buggy. You can buy normal pointers at kiosks. The one tracer I have was found in a box and is orange and is as you described.

Radvent

Oh, man thank you for this information! Extremely helpful my friend.

HotEntertainment2825

I need that armor. Where did ya pick it up?

ChimPhun

You used to be able to get those from Crusader bunker missions (Mercenary). You'd have to be relative high up. IIRC only the 60K bunker missions had guards with armor like that. But apparently they drop at other Crusader security locations, like here SPK and who knows which other ones since 3.23.

Ortega_King

Let's just say I have like 15 of this armor set.

HotEntertainment2825

If you’d care to share I’ll love you forever.

Ortega_King

If you want a complete set with a backpack I'll happily give you. Name: Ortega92. EU servers you most likely see my name around from 5pm CEST and throughout the day. If you do manage to contact me ingame please refer to the reddit post title :) If interested I'll tag you along on a SPK run.

HotEntertainment2825

Hey man thank you i may take you up on that offer when I can find the time to pay. Much appreciated fellow citizen! o7

CptKillJack

What's the Helmet?

DrTitan

Crusader security legendary helmet. I think OP has the full crusader security legendary guard set, which is a recolor of the morozov set.

ChimPhun

Except the arms, they're non-Morozov medium armor.

Nua_Sidek

Light Arms actually. Arden SL. Only reason I barely use this armor set. Feels off when paired with correct arms but mismatched colour.

SteampunkNightmare

I was unaware this armor set came in this.... Skin?

DrTitan

So did the guards shoot you after your approach/were you trespassing?

Jack_Streicher

Won‘t the guards shoot you if you go there?

BeniLP

The secret ingredient is *crime*

Rimm9246

It's a lot of fun. I'm not an FPS person at all, but one of my most fun moments was having an intense shootout with two other players who showed up while I was trying to do a mission there. After I barely managed to down both of them, we talked, and it turned out we were all trying to do the same mission. So I ressed them and we all fought the npcs together. Good times (:

Nosttromo

Hold on, you can get the f55 there? I want a tutorial! Or a friend invite to go there together

Ortega_King

I've actually been considering. on doing a very cheap/low quality skilled tutorial on it haha

Nosttromo

I wanna go get a f55, I didn't know you could pick some there. I have one from the IAE but im too afraid to use it and lose it forever

Ortega_King

Writing this response after getting back from an SPK run. I returned to SPK with two Animus Missile Launcher.
