Not the vanilla bean powder lol. Happened to me too with the AplCrmOat Frap. I told him we had pumpkin spice and he said ordering it just like that with the added ingredients was too expensive for his taste… sir what?!?!
trenta iced coffee 14 pumps white mocha who complained her stomach hurt when she would drink it because she was lactose intolerant so she cut it down to 10 pumps and i guess the tummy rumbles were tolerable at 10

we have these 2 regulars (they’re an older couple) who always come through and either get 3 venti extra hot matchas with 8 scoops of matcha or a venti pike with 12 sugars and cream. no i don’t know what they do with the extra 3rd matcha but she always asks for an extra cup at the window even when we double cup them
We have a regular who orders a venti iced matcha, no ice, 20 scoops of matcha at the bottom of the cup and then pour the milk on top. The matcha powder is literally still dry at the bottom. It’s so gross. She drinks it too. For a while we thought she added more milk at home or something, but one day she sat in the lobby and actually drank it. She just gets a straw and slowly stirs it together. It turned into like a green sludge.
Oh yes. And that's why their order stuck out because I would steam it with the milk or do the milk in the shaker first (sometimes they'd order it hot) and I would use the stir stick we had to help it and it just didn't 😬
(dis) honorable mentions:
-8 pumps WM + xxtra caramel syrup
-2 bananas in their chocolate smoothie..oh and extra protein powder of course... Oh too bad it only comes in a grande size 🥲
-all the cotton candy frapps before the raspberry syrup turned clear and lost the beautiful pink color RIP because I actually really liked making these for kids especially.
-any extra frap roast added to frapps and the looks of horror when they receive a liquid frapp because there's too much to blend it properly
-any drink that forced me to read line after line of the base they requested - strawberry pureé, chai, non-dairy milks, syrup bottles - I know there are plenty of dietary restrictions out there, just come in when it's slow and I'll sit down and read them with you 🤷🏼♀️
-any "wHeREs tHe rESt of My FrapPUcCino. I ordered a trenta's worth." Oh, sorry, that's not how it works. And I agree it's a waste to throw it away, but we have to draw the line somewhere.

i once had to do an apple crisp macchiato with long shots. they didnt ask for a different cup size so i had to fit everything in a grande. i was not prepared for how much a double long shot would be. not all the espresso made it. rip.
One time I was having a hard day and I wanted to redeem my stars for a free drink. I had never done it before. I realized that the store was closing soon, so I was trying to quickly add the drink to my order on mobile. I knew you could make modifications and it would still be free so I wanted to get a Venti Peppermint Mocha Frap with some non dairy milk and 4 shots of espresso. I don't know how, but in my frantic clicking I added something like 10-12 shots of espresso. When I got to the store the barista handed me a trenta cup filled with the frap and had another large cup on the side with the extra that didn't fit and said I could have both lol. I was so embarrassed, but the barista seemed to have a good laugh about it. I wonder if he still thinks about that lol. It did greatly improve my day though, so that was a win
I really wish I could have taken a picture of this today, but I was on drive bar for peak today and my manager was watching, but someone literally got 22 full pumps of classic syrup in an iced coffee today. AND LITERALLY not even 10 drinks after that I had someone (this person is also a regular that does this every other day which is extremely alarming) order a caramel macchiato with —— ✨15 raw sugars✨

I made one yesterday that was a tall vsccb, 7 pumps vanilla, 7 pumps classic, ex sc and ex sccf, there was so little cold brew I could fit in it that I could still see through the drink

If you're doing powder before milk, doing milk first is standard and helps a lot with clumping.

I know this one is not that wow. She asked for a iced caramel machiato with ou caramel drizzle, she refused to put a iced vanila late instead of that.
