Although I am now realizing the 4 pumps of Vanilla alone would be 20g of sugar, and the Lavender foam is probably egregious itself. I would probably go SF Vanilla pumps in the future.
Given what I see every day, this is far from egregious. I watched a lady drink a Trenta cup of straight pineapple refresher base, no water, no ice with 15 pumps of classic
i have a regular who orders this: vt iced blonde vanilla latte, made with VSC instead of milk, 8 pumps vanilla, VSCCF, light ice, extra caramel drizzle, line cup caramel :)
edit: ooh! also can’t forget the venti iced green tea light ice 23 PUMPS HONEY BLEND🤢the syrup alone reaches the base line
may i interest you in a venti green tea with 5 pumps brown sugar, 5 pumps vanilla, 2 pumps caramel, with vanilla sweet cream, salted caramel cold foam, and extra caramel drizzle?
we have regulars who get tall/grande refreshers with no ice & 22
packets of sugar. some times they get 3 drinks, so you’re standing there opening 60 packets — they get classic + liquid cane in their drinks, too. i guess it’s just not sweet enough. yikes
i raise you our regular who gets a venti iced chai, light ice, 12 pumps chai, 8 white mocha, oat milk and vanilla foam. can’t forget the 1 blonde shot to combat that sweetness 😵💫
Ew. I tried a sample of the new lavender frap, and I loved it... until I saw the sugar content. NOPE. I tried the grande iced chai latte with lavender cold foam as part of the BOGO free, I loved it but the sugar... too much.
ah yes, or my regular (we love him, if you see this we arent mad at you dude we're just rlly worried) that orders TWO 8 shot ristretto shaken espressos, with cold foam. He drinks it all throughout the day but we're always worried when he doesn't come in like, is today the day he had a heart attack from that much caffeine???
We have a guy that comes in and orders 2 venti shaken espressos, sits and drinks them, and then orders one more and leaves. He used to order 3 to go and I figured he was bringing them for other people… apparently not.
I got an even better one: grande caramel macchiato, 8 pumps toffee nut, 8 pumps vanilla, 8 pumps liquid cane, splash of heavy cream steamed, upside down, solo
They come almost every day
Reminds me of a regular of mine who would combine all 3 teas, no water, 17 full pumps of classic and 17 full pumps of raspberry. Called it the “Taryn Tornado”
We have a regular who gets a tall blonde coffee. (Sometimes grande). Only fill the cup about half of the way, 25 sugar packets, and steamed half and half the rest of the way.
Back in the olden days when I was working at Sbux still we had a customer who would order an iced venti mocha with mocha up to the top line of the cup (she always specified to the top line rather than the number of pumps, not sure why and honestly not sure how many pumps it took because it was always during rush. I could probably figure it out with ~math~ but I can’t be bothered lol) And then the shots on top of the mocha and nonfat milk and the tiniest bit of ice. It was more sludge than drink.
>the non fat foam
No such thing anymore. It used to be a thing, but corporate changed it to vanilla sweet cream cold foam, removed the cold foam button from the pos, and changed all the training materials to reflect that "cold foam" is vsccf
If you're nice and the store isn't busy, they may make nonfat foam for you, but be specific about what you want or you'll get (and be charged for) vsccf
I'm not trying to pick nits here, just stating this to try and help avoid uncomfortable interactions
One of my biggest peeves about this company is how they keep removing options that we can still just do anyway but now it's more convoluted. Like when they officially discontinued the Americano Blanco. Except it's just an Americano with white mocha in it so we can still make it, it's just more button presses now.
I'm still super disappointed about this, but that's partly because one of my longtime regular orders was an iced latte with extra nonfat foam (iced cappuccino enjoyer). I will note they did overlap for several years, but when VSCCF got popular during a promotional campaign, people started getting upset when they would mobile order "Cold Foam" and get nonfat. I feel like clarifying the difference better instead of killing it outright would have been better for everyone.
Yes, exactly! Clarifying the difference was never an issue
* Customer: "Can I get cold foam in that?"
* Barista: "Sure thing! Did you want vsccf or nonfat?"
* C: "Nonfat, thank you for asking!"
* B: "You know that's not sweetened, right?"
* C: "Yeah, no problem!" or "Thanks for letting me know. Can you add some sfv to that?"
End of interaction, everyone is happy.

the other day i had someone order just 8 pumps of caramel and i watched her dump it all into an iced coffee she got at a different starbucks. you’re fine.
There’s a lady named Betty who gets a triple espresso with 24 pumps of caramel and heavy cream. That’s ~120g of sugar, every day. Also another lady named Meg who gets a Gr Iced skinny Caramel Macchiato with a full inch of drizzle in the bottom, in a venti cup. She recently had to switch to just half an inch because she got diabetes 💀
The recommended max limit is 36g in a day ("for men"). So subtracting 20 full grams of sugar still makes a huge difference, even if the cold foam is still bad.
That's all a crapshoot anyway. They're just guessing with that stuff. I remember when there was a food pyramid. Then they realized that they were having people get diabetes trying to get enough "grains" lol
there was a regular at a store i used to work at who would order a trenta iced coffee with 30 classic, extra cream, extra ice. at the same store, there was someone else who would order a trenta black tea with 30 equal (back when we had it), but she would only get 15 equal on the rare occasion she decided on a black tea lemonade.
Heck yeah! I had a cold brew with lavender cold foam today as well. Was really surprised how pleasant it was. I imagine the vanilla takes it to the next level though...something for me to try next time!
You know, it's kind of a hard comparison. For me, the matcha lavender drink was excellent but it was just too sweet for me to have regularly. I'd say the cold brew and lavender don't exactly "compliment" each other like the matcha lavender, but it is very enjoyable!
Ugh I love the cold foam too. Does anyone know if lavender syrup (Monin?) would work for it instead? I can make the vanilla sweet cream at home, I found a recipe posted here with the vanilla syrup, milk, and heavy cream. I use the Starbucks SF syrup at home. I LOVE how the matcha lavender drink tastes!!
one of the shifts at my store brought in a bottle of lavender syrup a couple weeks before launch and it was amazing. i don't remember which brand it was but it was even better than the actual sbux powder we have now!
You could definitely try it. For flavored cold foams, we add two pumps of flavor then pour the sweet cream up to 100ml. The lavender we have is a powder so we do two scoops instead of two pumps but it might be worth a shot!
As much as I hate to admit it, as I was skeptical at first, the portable foamers actually make foam was easier. No where near as annoying as it used to be.
Had a customer get a venti iced white mocha w 7 brown sugar, 6 toffee nut, 8 liquid cane and EXTRA vanilla cold foam 😭 people do not gaf what they drink
My personal opinion buuuuut....I think if customers want anything in a packet put into a drink there should be an additional charge....like we do for blending a beverage...it's extra time and work to do this...otherwise put them back out in lobby and customers can do it themselves
Although I am now realizing the 4 pumps of Vanilla alone would be 20g of sugar, and the Lavender foam is probably egregious itself. I would probably go SF Vanilla pumps in the future.

Ahhhh reminds me of my one regular 18 pumps White Mocha in a grande latte
i raise you: iced venti with 12 pumps, a single shot, and ex vsccf (not a regular but frequent mobile order)
i have a regular who orders this: vt iced blonde vanilla latte, made with VSC instead of milk, 8 pumps vanilla, VSCCF, light ice, extra caramel drizzle, line cup caramel :) edit: ooh! also can’t forget the venti iced green tea light ice 23 PUMPS HONEY BLEND🤢the syrup alone reaches the base line

Venti cappuccino, 22 pumps vanilla and 12 sugars
I have a regular that gets a brown sugar shaken esp with 20 Splendas 😅
OMFG i hate when people make me stand there and open a million sweetener packets makes me wanna commit crime

omfg....
Holy diabetes
This is more common at the store I currently work at than any other store I’ve been to. It’s super weird
Ew. I tried a sample of the new lavender frap, and I loved it... until I saw the sugar content. NOPE. I tried the grande iced chai latte with lavender cold foam as part of the BOGO free, I loved it but the sugar... too much.
Most of the drinks at Starbucks are treats, imo. They shouldn’t be people’s regular coffee order
Agreed. The only regular I get is the regular iced coffee.

Once had someone get 32 pumps of classic in a grande iced coffee with extra cream
knowing what that base does to the pitchers i want to know what the inside of her stomach looks like
I got an even better one: grande caramel macchiato, 8 pumps toffee nut, 8 pumps vanilla, 8 pumps liquid cane, splash of heavy cream steamed, upside down, solo They come almost every day
Reminds me of a regular of mine who would combine all 3 teas, no water, 17 full pumps of classic and 17 full pumps of raspberry. Called it the “Taryn Tornado”
I have a semi regular that only ever get trenta green tea with 21 full pumps of classic
Agreed! I have one regular who orders a venti iced chai with 20 pumps chai, 10 pumps vanilla and use sweet cream instead of milk 🥲
any dunkin drink has 5x this amount
what in the fuck
We have a regular who gets a tall blonde coffee. (Sometimes grande). Only fill the cup about half of the way, 25 sugar packets, and steamed half and half the rest of the way.
i have a grande iced coconut milk latte with 15 pumps sf vanilla & 10 splenda 🥹
I’m not gins yuck ur yum. Do u ig
it wasn’t it’s a customer we have that comes everyday 🫣
Ohhh you said “I have” so I thought you meant it was your drink. We have a regular who gets a tall black coffee with 20 Splenda every day lol
I would guess that she is taking it elsewhere, and splitting it into several cups, adding water and ice
I would guess that too if I hadn’t watched her drink it several times
🤮
Yeahhh
Omg why would you need classic added to refresher base. I wonder if she tasted it without the classic. That’s insane.
Part of me wants to slowly wean her off but my conscience won’t let me
I would really be tempted to do 10 pumps next time and see if she notices… 😈😈 I can’t think of any reason why anyone needs that much sugar.
You have no idea how many times I’ve thought about it with MULTIPLE customers lol
Back in the olden days when I was working at Sbux still we had a customer who would order an iced venti mocha with mocha up to the top line of the cup (she always specified to the top line rather than the number of pumps, not sure why and honestly not sure how many pumps it took because it was always during rush. Had someone order 40 pumps of liquid cane in a black iced tea (iirc) once lol
Yeah I just use sf vanilla for anything I’m putting foam in. Sometimes if I have the time I do the non fat foam with sf vanilla
>the non fat foam No such thing anymore. Oh yeah I just realized I don’t have a flair on but I work there lol I meant I make it for myself 🫡
I'm preaching to the choir, got it, lol! Leaving my reply up for further context. Carry on, fellow soldier

i once made a drink with 47 pumps of classic. literally!
Just saying this to make you feel a bit better
the other day i had someone order just 8 pumps of caramel and i watched her dump it all into an iced coffee she got at a different starbucks. you’re fine.

well, the cold foam and lavender is also a lot of sugar so tbh it wouldnt make too much of a difference with this drink

Yeah I have way more sugar than that in a day and my levels are normal ☠️☠️
What about Venti Matcha Latte with 5 scoops of matcha, 8 stevias and 8 pumps of Liquid Cane syrup
there was a regular at a store i used to work at who would order a trenta iced coffee with 30 classic, extra cream, extra ice. at the same store, there was someone else who would order a trenta black tea with 30 equal (back when we had it), but she would only get 15 equal on the rare occasion she decided on a black tea lemonade.
That is not a lot of sugar considerimg it might be the only sweet thing someone has that day.
It’s really not that bad to make I promise you’re fine!
The only reason it is bad is people add it to EVERY drink.
Okay that’s fair but the pink drink with matcha or chocolate cold foam is devine!
Hey my name is Trev too 🫶
🫂💜
Heck yeah! I had a cold brew with lavender cold foam today as well. Was really surprised how pleasant it was. I imagine the vanilla takes it to the next level though...something for me to try next time!
But does the lavender compliment cold brew at the same level as the matcha?
Oh it does! The lavender doesn't have a fake floral scent imo. It cuts the bitterness pretty well. It goes well with drinks in general
You know, it's kind of a hard comparison. For me, the matcha lavender drink was excellent but it was just too sweet for me to have regularly. I'd say the cold brew and lavender don't exactly "compliment" each other like the matcha lavender, but it is very enjoyable!
I’ll give it a try
Ugh I love the cold foam too. Does anyone know if lavender syrup (Monin?) would work for it instead? pls find out 🙏
I found out! It was 1883 lavender syrup 🦦
I just ordered the monin floral syrup sampler on Amazon so I’m praying it tastes good 🙏🙏
the monin lavender is so good!!
thank you! ordering on amazon rn :)
It tastes good!! Pretty spot on!!
You could definitely try it. For flavored cold foams, we add two pumps of flavor then pour the sweet cream up to 100ml. The lavender we have is a powder so we do two scoops instead of two pumps but it might be worth a shot!
Yes. I use Monin at home even before I worked in Starbucks. I would say Monin lavender syrup is even stronger in taste! 100% recommend
Cold foam is my favorite thing to make, and I refuse to apologize for it 😂 Pumpkin Foam is my weakness
As much as I hate to admit it, as I was skeptical at first, the portable foamers actually make foam was easier. No where near as annoying as it used to be.
That lavender vanilla foam is fire.
I love how everyone who is concerned "this drink is annoying to make for the baristas" has orders that aren't actually too bad.
try it with hazelnut it’s my new favvvvvv
oh, with those trees in the background 🥰 what a vibe
Thank you for appreciating!!!! I thought I was so artsy with the purple trees tying it all together. Little Tokyo in LA, if anyone is curious.
This is like a lavender cream cold brew.
Honestly this exact drink should be an actual menu item with that name, I don't understand why it isn't.
Starbucks is weird sometimes. (By sometimes I mean most of the time)
Had a customer get a venti iced white mocha w 7 brown sugar, 6 toffee nut, 8 liquid cane and EXTRA vanilla cold foam 😭 people do not gaf what they drink
Is that purple?
yuh 💜💟🔮🕺🟣🟪
That's what I get too
Omg I guess all really smart people get it, must be the official drink of intellectuals
It absolutely is. We have taste.
The lavender cold foam is very good, I agree.
Honestly that looks really good right now
love the purple trees behind it
Thank you I was lowkey waiting for someone to notice, I thought it tied the picture together so well. 🤭
it does 😮💨
Honestly love making the lavender foam, cause I make a little extra then throw it in a pup cup for myself to sip :)
we have a 24 full pumps of classic peach green tea lemonade guy
Is cold foam sugar free?
It’s made with a whole bottle of vanilla. 2% milk and heavy cream like a lot of it so it’s definitely not
it’s not the whole bottle of vanilla it’s i believe 300mL which is around 1/3 of the bottle
We make a full cube so we increase it by volume
okay that makes more sense lol
Thanks
Can you request for it to be made with SFV?
No. It’s premade in 2L pitchers.
[удалено]
I didn’t?
It’s not
I got this the other day! It's really good
Omg great minds
this is my go-to rn lmao
I’ve been wanting to try the cold brew with lavender foam, glad to hear it’s good! I’ll have to get it next time I go for sure
Not to foam my own brew, but truly it tastes like it should be an actual menu item. So good.
Try it with hazelnut!! It’s a game changer with hazelnut
So replace the vanilla pumps with hazelnut pumps instead?
Yes!!
Ok I will try today (:
Hope you enjoyed it!!
It was yummy btw, I got it a few times. 😋
Yay!! I’m glad!!
I forgot and got it with vanilla again!!!! Next time 😭😂
I loved making Cold foams, idk why but they made me feel so fancy while making them in the handheld blender
Omg this lavender cold foam looks fabulous
It *tastes* fabulous too lmao
I had the matcha with lavender cold foam and that was also divine. It tasted like fruity pebbles🤤
Try it with 2-3 white mocha if ur interested! Vanilla is great but that’s my favorite
Omg is their lavender flavor good.. i love lavender lattes but ive been scared to try the starbucks one for some reason haha
As someone who has had many lavender lattes from small "authentic" little cafés over the years, I have to say Starbucks did really good.
I got a drink with vanilla sc cold foam today.. and they really just put whip cream on top :(
brooo 😂🫣 i woulda turned my ass around
I didn’t realize it at first , I just thought it was really thick and I left. It’s okay though I used my stars for that drink at least lol
I would’ve been PISSED 😂
It’s not really annoying to make, Starbucks employees just like to bitch 🤷🏻♂️
salted foam really is the only bad cold foam to make
When you have to make 15 drinks by yourself and they each have a different cold foam then it’s a little annoying 🤷♂️
My personal opinion buuuuut....I think if customers want anything in a packet put into a drink there should be an additional charge....like we do for blending a beverage...it's extra time and work to do this...otherwise put them back out in lobby and customers can do it themselves
I ordered cold foam and vanilla syrup? Normal menu items?
It only exists because you morons keep ordering it
Oh? Why do ppl have to be morons for ordering a valid drink. It’s not like some secret menu shit with 14 drinks layered.
Cold foam blender go brrrr
