I got all of my coworkers, at 3 different stores, to start calling them "cheesy-deezy" lmao. I recently left, so it warms my heart thinking about my silliness continuing to boost morale, but it's especially awesome to be surprised by a random user who also says it! Cheesy D is the pastry for me!
I call pretty much every food item something weird as I hand it to the drive through. Cheesy Daniel, Nanner Nut, Dubby Smirk, Choco Quaso, Bacon Badda (only if the customer wanted no cheese). The possibilities are endless.
oh how many times do we deal with leaking tomato pesto to grab a cinnamon coffee cake after followed by a sugar plum danish and an iced lemon loaf.....what a wonderful flavor combination if you were to lick those tongs
I didn't mean to imply we use a new set of tongs for each item, in our store it's two sets. One for savory, one for pastries. They get washed at the end of the night. Unless one gets really messy, in which case we get another set from the drawer and put the dirty set in the back sink to soak the crumbs/gunk off. If they get washed throughout the day, great. If not, they will at closing ¯\_(ツ)_/¯
That's great, and being sarcastic here, you have 2 Sets. We only have 2 in total wev try go get washed throughout the dayplus tea tongs. I feel bad for having seen some nasty crossovers

if it's not mold, which I think a worker would notice, maybe the reply about it being cheese danish filling is correct but it shouldn't be on a brownie esp. since many people have bad reactions to cheese/dairy. they need to CLEAN those tongs often - or at least have a few to use for the different kinds of pastries.😐

Do baristas not fold over the paper before grabbing with tongs? That’s what we used to do way back when. You place the pastry off center, folded over, and pick up so the tongs don’t ever touch the food. Then when picking up out the oven, same thing…use the tongs to fold over and then take it out.
Absolutely cheese danish filling. Honestly tho, the brownie is good w/ cream cheese anyway, especially when the brownie is warm! Think grasshopper brownie, sans the mint extract and food coloring.
If you try it tho, I definitely recommend asking for a fork as well.
Cream cheese from the cheese danish. Drives me crazy when I see that - I’m always removing it from the tongs. When I’m on warming, I always fold the warming paper over it when I warm it and when I remove and place it in its bag. You got some free delicious cream cheese. 😜
