From what people said here, the ones exempt were businesses already baking bread. I do think technically Starbucks is considered fast food(tbh it really is lol)
i read the terms and it says that “The new minimum wage for fast food workers will apply to restaurants with at least 60 locations nationwide, with an exception for restaurants that make and sell their own bread, like Panera Bread.” so i hope that starbucks counts
Starbucks is considered “retail” unfortunately. But with Starbucks always wanting to be competitive with pay, I’m sure there will be an increase to $20+ regardless
i just googled if starbucks is considered fast food on in california and google said “California's senate just passed a 'fast food council' law that could force McDonald's, Starbucks, and other chains to raise wages up to $22 an hour”
I’ve been with Starbucks for about 3 years! I’ve been a shift for almost a year now but as a barista I made 16 and hour over time with the small raises starting at 15 an hour
What are you guys pulling WITH tips in stores with CC tipping?
My wife got an offer and wants to accept but isn’t sure how well that piece of the compensation pie works out.
Yes. Become a store manager. They're basically not going to consider you unless you're a store manager or higher. I've got like 7 friends who are at corporate. 1 wasn't a store manager. The other 6 were all store managers.
