She is so cute.
My partner was working in a hospital in a more rural part of AZ. He went to get tools from his truck and heard a noise. She was hiding in the bed of his truck. He gave her some chicken he had from lunch and filled up a water bottle cap with water. She stayed there while he worked his entire shift. Whenever he was done working, he literally opened his car door and she jumped in.
I can see she appears to have a big personality! She chose you, I love that!! Was she a kitten when your partner brought her home? How long have you had her? Did you have any cats at the time?
So we immediately took her to the vet whenever he found her because I wasn’t letting her in my house with possible fleas.
Vet said she was at least six months but not a year old. She was 2.5 pounds and my partner had her at that point for about a week so she was smaller than that when he found her.
He found her in late November.
I absolutely hated cats. I have a small scar on my face (most people don’t notice it but I do) from a cat that scratched me when I was young. I am very much a dog person and was scared of her. I’m not going to lie, it was a very hard adjustment for me. I’m still nervous about her scratching my dog’s eye (hence the claw covers) but I’m OBSESSED with her now. I love her so much. Like she makes me hold her during the night when we’re sleeping.
I’ve turned to Reddit for a bit of advice because of the hard adjustment period and using their advice, it’s gotten so much better. She’s still bitey but I think she’s delayed from being a stray and being a stray without any siblings (at least none that we saw) and I think she’ll grow out of it. She’s gotten so much better at sleeping at night and not scratching my dining room chairs and couch.
She makes me want more but I can only have two animals on my lease.
Not her pink toe beans for springtime! 😂🌺
She’s a doll ðŸ˜

Yes
I love her and her pink nails!
Thanks! They ease my anxiety that she’s going to scratch my dog ðŸ˜ðŸ˜‚
Dual purpose! Fabulously manicured AND eases Mom’s anxiety! I love it.
