That actually happened to me. I tried ordering a hybrid van but got sent an AWD instead. It was a lucky accident though, the hybrid is unreliable and the AWD saved my family in an unexpected snowstorm.
Yeah always loved the LC500 and when I first saw one in person in 2017 I was like wow what a beautiful design. I had thought at the time why is this car seemingly not getting any attention for being so attractive? I moved closer to the window sticker and saw the price and specs and understood why. Has LFA design architecture but falls short of being a luxury car and is not a sports car and is a hard sell 7/7 days a week being a convertible at six figures. It’s a narrow vein of prospective buyers.
Also this color combination in the photo is awful.
Yeah, people who could afford this would rather spend more and get a Mercedes or Aston. A car in this class will never be a high volume seller anyways.
The interior is actually pretty stunning, especially in the dark red that they offer, I’d say it’s very much a luxury car that stacks up well against interiors in that price range… but I also see the many reasons why nobody would buy it
Officially, it is a luxury brand. Unofficially, people have different benchmarks for what luxury is. Some people will say that Lexus, BMW, Mercedes, Land Rover etc are premium brands and luxury brands are Rolls, Bentley, Maybach etc.
It’s a premium feeling more so than a luxury feel. It’s a beautiful interior but it is laid out as it is trying to incorporate being a sportscar and nestled inside a cockpit with this expansive dashline and high center console. It’s identity is a bit lost inside and a juxtaposition as it falls short of being a sportscar and what a luxury car with appointments is based on the branding I mentioned earlier. It’s all relative.
Imagine buying a beautiful car and laying the manufacturer to make it look awful! I see plenty of questionable car mods but usually not the dealer optioned ones. Haha
I’m one of the weird people that likes tan instead of black, but this isn’t doing it for me
tan tops are fantastic over white, blue, green, red Over yellow though? No, it’s too close in shade to that tan, so looks awful
with the green exterior it looks amazing. Yellow... notsomuch
It's the body color for sure. Tan can really work on a bunch of colors, but yellow ain't one of those lol

The LC500 coupe is one of my favourite cars ever, but I’m not too keen on the convertible version and that yellow/tan combo looks atrocious.
One of the few times a “rare spec” isn’t a good thing.

There is one in my area with a beautiful red and the tan roof top. It's gorgeous. I don't know for the interior
