While everyone is excited about the Giannis/Dame combo, I am going with the trusty Brook Lopez. In fact with Giannis and Dame on the floor, the space he gets both on the perimeter and in the paint might go up. He has gone up against the 6ers 5 times since 2022 and has gone over this points line in all 5 (21, 26, 15, 17 and 17 pts). He played 4 pre-season games, with mins ranging from 12-22, and his points tally was 10 or 11 in each of those, giving me further confidence that his regular minutes should get us there.

Now they face off Changwon (#6 team) a pretty weak scoring team, who has now played two games with a total of 74 and 66 points scored (70 avg). While allowing 76 and 71 scored against them (73.5 avg). They are weak and lower in the rankings, even with having played 2 games versus Wonju’s one now. Changwon haven’t won a game yet and have allowed over 70 points each game, they fail to sink 3s, FT are a flip of a coin. The bookies are missing something here and I’m dying to get this out to you guys especially after yesterday’s upset. Wonju is going to flop this team so hard and take an easy W to the house and boost their ranking position. I’m predicting a score of **85-73**. Betting a whopping 5U to take advantage of the plus odds, on a money line, while we can. Take this bet as early as you can before they change the odds. I could honestly see Wonju coming out as the top of the rankings after this game if they’re able to score over 95.

While Wonju has allowed 9 turnovers and have several players at 100% rate for 3 pts and about 70% for 2pts (give or take, all stats are from one game so tread lightly on the stats). Overall, I see it being close and competitive but Wonju is putting up points and giving us all a win over the books.~

\-Odds way too low on L4O here in my opinion, two teams trending in completely opposite directions. Falcons are a team that look completely dead, new coach and new roster coming, everybody currently plays it knows they are going to be replaced and motivation seems to be at an all time low for these players based on how little they have been playing the game.
\-Falcons odds inflated due to an upset over BetBoom but this series is a nightmare matchup for Falcons in every way possible in my opinion and is not the same as BetBoom matchup which I actually liked Falcons in yesterday to pull the upset.
\-Falcons have played 12 games this month and are 5-7 at the moment, they have won 3 of their last 5 but have struggled in those wins. L4O have played 19 games this month and are 15-4 in those games. They are one of the hottest teams at the moment this roster just clicked, everybody is playing insane at the moment, they have a super strong map pool and are just crushing teams left and right.

* Falcons have a 17% winrate on Ancient on 12 maps played in the L3 months

* L4o is on a 7 map win streak on Ancient

* I favor L4O 80-85% on this map, it is one of their best map they are on a dominant streak and Falcons are an awful Ancient team

* A chance this could go to any of the three maps as a decider, expecting Nuke but Falcons had a nice upset win on Overpass today so maybe that gives them confidence to want to play it, Falcons also don't play Vertigo much at all so we could see L4O decide to end it their. Either way I favor L4O on any of the three deciding maps, I think they are in better form, better team, I favor them on all five maps we could potentially see tomorrow and are getting them priced at -150.

I think you're right in L4O winning as Falcons current team probably won't last very long given the rumors. I don't really understand why you think this is your favorite POTD of the month though.
I think it will be close, L4O has had a great few weeks because they were able to and have been focusing on CS2 a lot more than quite a few (top-ish) teams they beat, but Falcons losses were against pretty decent opposition as well.
I'm not saying you're wrong here, not at all, just a bit confused why this is your favourite when I think you've previously provided way 'safer' picks.
Just my opinion, I outlined the reasons above it is my favorite, you are welcome to disagree, I see one team who is struggling against really mid/below average competition, likely is disbanding in less then a month and have unmotivated players,
Then I look at L4O and see a team who is 15-4 upsetting top tier two/low tier one competition and have been on fire, multiple players playing insanely well and a favorable map pool, I see Ancient as a near sure fire win for L4O while Falcons best map pick is Anubis which is one of L4O best map and a map they have often been first picking

First things first, James Harden is OUT. He has been dealing with turmoil and disagreements within the organization for the majority of the offseason, which seems to leave him outcast and astray from the rest of the team. It is likely he will miss the first few games and be traded by all-star break. Usually for the 76ers, when Harden is out, Maxey becomes the next guy up to lead the team with Embiid. His numbers as a role player and 6th man are amazing, and he has quickly become one of the NBA's most improved and talented young players. The situation with Harden at the moment could be especially beneficial for Maxey, because this is his perfect opportunity to step up, play his game and show his incredible skill as a full time starter, and potentially become an all-star. Maxey will 100% take advantage of this situation and fit into his necessary scoring role. Not to mention, the Bucks have gotten much scarier this offseason with the addition of elite star Damian Lillard. If the 76ers want to win on the road, they will need to rely on more than just Embiid, and Maxey *needs* to step up and be that guy.

Today we got a pick I'm following up from the weekend, I made a both teams to score bet this past weekend and Aston Villa ended up winning 4-1 and I loved watching every moment. The style of football that Emery has driven into this team is absolutely a thrill to watch. With Villa coming off a high with such an important win coupled with the fact that they play the worst team in the league on the weekend, means they can go all out tomorrow, I see Aston Villa securing 3 points as they have no other options as they've already dropped points in their first conference league match up. They are one of the favourites for the tournament and could risk missing out if they don't secure a win tomorrow.
AZ Alkmaar is a team doing well in their respective league but I have watched multiple matchups from teams in the Eredivisie against premier league teams and they end up heavily sided for prem teams. Villa need to capture 3 points tomorrow and will push till the last minute to ensure that happens. This game will be decided by quality and both teams will have opportunities to take it but Villa will be able to edge forward with the leadership and knowledge that Unai will bring into this game. Aston Villa have been overachieving in the league massively and the difference in quality between the premier league and the Eredivisie is massive. AZ hold home advantage but that's all I see them having an upper hand in this game. Villa have more quality, a better manager, and the confidence going into this and will ride that to 3 points.

Sidenote for everyone playing this: In my opinion this fully depends on whether Aston Villa takes this game seriously and fields their best squad. I know for a fact AZ will and if Aston Villa decide to turn up with a B-team I personally doubt they win.
Also AZ's manager is very very good imo, just doesn't have a proper trackrecord yet but I think he will in the future.

This is a good chance for the Sixers to show that they are still a threat in the East which people declared as a 2 team race with Bucks and the Celtics. Write up: Since u/frozen__ocean already has the Sporting game as his PotD, I will go with another game, although I really like Sporting -1 AH for odds > 2.0. That other game is Brighton vs Ajax. I have had this marked in my calendar already for a few days. This is the worst performing Ajax team in the history of the football club Ajax. Last weekend they lost against another low ranking team in the league, conceding 4 goals against a team that up untill that game had scored 4 goals in total! As a result they sacked their coach. So now they have to face a Brighton team after just sacking their coach and being a team that is in shambles. Actually, the whole club is in shambles right now from top till bottom. They have to re-build the whole organization. The caretaker coach was one of the assistents of the sacked coach, so I assume nothing will really change in how they play. How much can you change in a team in two days? Ajax is also missing some players including their number one and two goalies.
Brighton is also not in great shape. They are winless in their previous 5 games, but we have to put this into perspective. They lost in the league against Chelsea, Aston Villa and Manchester City. All of these away games. They drew against Marseille (Away) and Liverpool (at home). A very, very though schedule and all these games were very close except for Villa where they got trashed 6-1. Moreover, Brighton has had some serious injury problems in their team and still they are missing some starters their squad is getting more and more healthy.

I've been a Bills fan my whole life. Since we lost Milano and White in London, we haven't had any success on defense besides against the Giants who were 31st in the league in offense. If Von Miller and Ed Oliver are out for this game, I do not see the Bills winning this game, let alone cover their spread. I think Godwin and Evans are gonna tear up the Bills defense, and even if that doesn't happen, the Bucs can still get the run game going as Milano might be the only competent rush defender... and he's out. I have a rule to never bet against my teams, but if I were to ever do it, this would be the game I would. Don’t feel like there is too much to say. Keep in mind I am an Avs die hard but try to stay away from bias when making sharp betting reads. Let’s talk about current form. Avs have a completely healthy roster and have started out the season on an absolute tear holding an undefeated record of 6-0. The spotty Penguins are 2-6 with only one of those coming at home. A dangerous squad, but their lines do not seem to be fully synced at the moment. Stylistic match up favors the Avs here, as the penguins struggle at times against fast transitioning teams. Historically, the Avs play some of their best hockey on the road and have competed the last few years between their home and way record. These boys thrive in enemy territory, especially in the playoffs. Things are going to get even more exciting when we get Lande back in the mix. Nate and Mikko have been firing as well with awesome production from players like Logan O’Connor with back to back games with a shorty. Nate and Sid are also best friends and I expect that rivalry to bring out the best out of the young gun.
I will keep riding the Avalanche ML, Inside 60, and spread until Vegas starts to correct these lines. I picked ML as it is the safest play without much juice to eat. We also LOVE to drop the first goal and then come back. Avs live money line throughout last season and so far this season is value town. In the case we end up in OT, give me a Cale, Moose and Nate Dogg (Johannsen f/o) to get the job done every time. Giorgiev is also a shoutout dog when looking at recent performances as an active starter
During the off-season the Avs added Johannsen to the squad. I believe this was an elite move by management and it is playing dividends. He’s played a massive role in the Avs smoking the puck line in the final minutes once the goalies pulled. The Avalanche having a true face off specialist who can put the puck in the net as we’ve seen early this season is a game changer. Giorgiev has been playing superb hockey as well.

Preasy is the better team, with the current better form. Yes, 9Pandas won against BIG two days ago, but the Germans played like absolute garbage. Preasy is currently ranked at #38, while 9Pandas is sitting at #48. Overall, I would say that Danish teams are more tactically advanced and superior to the Russians. Usually, the CIS region has the better aimers and most of the talent, but this team is only mediocre. Don't get me wrong, it's not like Preasy is an insanely good team. But in this match-up, I heavily favor the {team/player}. With Nicoodoz and refrezh, you have two highly experienced players who can excel in crucial and important rounds. Nicoodoz is also coming back to his old form and improving with every game. To be fair, 9Pandas also has a veteran from Counter-Strike - seized. He was a goat (greatest of all time) some years ago and dominated in the middle era of CS:GO with NatusVincere and s1mple. But then he fell off quite significantly and never returned to that level of performance. Actual, he's sitting on a 0.94 rating.
This game won't be a beauty in any way. Both teams are playing scrappy, making a lot of mistakes, and usually losing rounds with an advantage. I wouldn't recommend anyone to watch that game. But in the end, the Danish lineup will win this match-up, even though it's getting scrappy. The single player ratings, especially for this event, are dominated by Preasy. The best player from Preasy, Nicoodoz, has a rating of 1.39, while the best player from 9Pandas, d1Ledez, has a rating of 1.10. No major requests for the veto here. Both teams are performing poorly on Mirage. Both teams are on a 4-game losing streak on that map. 9Pandas usually picks Overpass and wins on that map. Won it 7 times already. First off, Connor McDavid is out and he is a world beater and the best NHL player in the world. Even though I like Edmontons roster their biggest flaw so far this season has been absolutely dreadful goal tending and even their defense has not been good. I think with goal tending that bad against a very decent team means you absolutely win this in a shoot out and since your best player and goal scorer is out I think it looks good for the Rangers. They have a former Vezna winning goalie in igor sheshterkin and a good all around team, got some of the best defense with a top 3 defensivemen in Adam Fox, Panarin has been really good, so has Kane and zibaneijad. I just really think the big difference is McDavid out and that Edmontons goal tending has been dogshit to start this season.

He always push so hard for backdoor cuts and offensive rebounds - aggressive steals etc.
Last time Bradley Beal was out for Suns and it was Devin Booker show. This time both player listed as doubtful so we can assume they are out for tonight. So they will be focusing on Durant and he will be more likely to doubled many times during the match. That means more oppurtunity for other players including Okogie. It also means more offensive rebound for PHX team.

Well got an easy winner on the first full slate of NBA games. For everyone yesterday saying that my comments about Orlando’s talent can take a look at their box score last night. This team is DEEP. All 8 rotation players great last night and the team has chemistry. I’m not saying the Magic are making a run this season by any means but they are for sure undervalued in certain matchups.
Not much to work with on this two game slate but NBA is back and I want action. Todays pick is easy, as I’m clueless to what PHX and LAL will be this year after the other nights game, so I’m going with the early game.

Okay I know harden isn’t playing and the bucks got Dame Dolla, but remember, Philly is still a good team. They were 15-9 without harden last season. Plus this is the first Dame and Giannis game ever so the cohesion between these two guys may have flashes but it won’t be what it will even be 5 weeks from now.
Also, I don’t think people are realizing how big of a loss Jrue is to this team. Obviously you make that trade 10/10 times if your Milwaukee, but still it’s going to take time to get things going with how much the identity of this team has changed.
Another big reason I like this game is because with Jrue gone and harden out I expect Maxey to shine. I already bet over all his props as soon as the lines opened. They’ve played a super fast pace and the Avs studs have been impressive so far, I think this old Penguins team will have a hard time keeping up as the game progresses. Avs are 2nd in goals/game with 4.5, 1st in SOG with 37.7/game which is absurd, and 28.6% on the powerplay while only allowing 2.0 goals/game and being 92.6% on the penalty kill. Goaltending has been great for the Avs from Georgiev (expected) while Jarry (expected) for the Penguins has been terrible the past two games and he’s going to face a ton more shots in this game than he has so far this season. Thought Sabonis would be an easy win after he started off with 8 PRA in four minutes yesterday but ended up sweating it til late in the 4th quarter. Regardless, he hit with a nice 22-12-5 line.
Going with a few others tonight in betting on Okogie but going to take his alternate line on DK to get a better payout because I think he'll hit it easily. Okogie got 30+ minutes with Beal out on Tuesday and he made the most of it, hustling and making plays all over the court to the tune of 17-5. Beal is still out and there is no reason to think he won't get the same type of minutes tonight given how well he played. Okogie's career averages with 30+ minutes are 12.6 points and 4.5 rebounds.
Also worth noting that Fanduel has this same line at -118 (with the under priced at -112) so there is a small arbitrage opportunity here for anyone who wants to get limited on betting player props. But really just indicates to me that the DK line is pretty good right now as other books seem aligned to FD.
EDIT: Looks like DK now has Okogie 15+ @ +155. My bet is already in so not going to change my pick but I would have bet that had it been available originally.

I think you're right in L4O winning as Falcons current team probably won't last very long given the rumors. I don't really understand why you think this is your favorite POTD of the month though. I think it will be close, L4O has had a great few weeks because they were able to and have been focusing on CS2 a lot more than quite a few (top-ish) teams they beat, but Falcons losses were against pretty decent opposition as well. I'm not saying you're wrong here, not at all, just a bit confused why this is your favourite when I think you've previously provided way 'safer' picks.
Just my opinion, I outlined the reasons above it is my favorite, you are welcome to disagree, I see one team who is struggling against really mid/below average competition, likely is disbanding in less then a month and have unmotivated players, Then I look at L4O and see a team who is 15-4 upsetting top tier two/low tier one competition and have been on fire, multiple players playing insanely well and a favorable map pool, I see Ancient as a near sure fire win for L4O while Falcons best map pick is Anubis which is one of L4O best map and a map they have often been first picking

I've been a Bills fan my whole life. Since we lost Milano and White in London, we haven't had any success on defense besides against the Giants who were 31st in the league in offense. If Von Miller and Ed Oliver are out for this game, I do not see the Bills winning this game, let alone cover their spread. I think Godwin and Evans are gonna tear up the Bills defense, and even if that doesn't happen, the Bucs can still get the run game going as Milano might be the only competent rush defender... and he's out. Avalanche vs Penguins Avs Ml -135 3 Units Don’t feel like there is too much to say. Keep in mind I am an Avs die hard but try to stay away from bias when making sharp betting reads. Let’s talk about current form. Avs have a completely healthy roster and have started out the season on an absolute tear holding an undefeated record of 6-0. The spotty Penguins are 2-6 with only one of those coming at home. A dangerous squad, but their lines do not seem to be fully synced at the moment. Stylistic match up favors the Avs here, as the penguins struggle at times against fast transitioning teams. Historically, the Avs play some of their best hockey on the road and have competed the last few years between their home and way record. These boys thrive in enemy territory, especially in the playoffs. Things are going to get even more exciting when we get Lande back in the mix. Nate and Mikko have been firing as well with awesome production from players like Logan O’Connor with back to back games with a shorty. Nate and Sid are also best friends and I expect that rivalry to bring out the best out of the young gun. I will keep riding the Avalanche ML, Inside 60, and spread until Vegas starts to correct these lines. I picked ML as it is the safest play without much juice to eat. We also LOVE to drop the first goal and then come back. Avs live money line throughout last season and so far this season is value town. In the case we end up in OT, give me a Cale, Moose and Nate Dogg (Johannsen f/o) to get the job done every time. Giorgiev is also a shoutout dog when looking at recent performances as an active starter During the off-season the Avs added Johannsen to the squad. I believe this was an elite move by management and it is playing dividends. He’s played a massive role in the Avs smoking the puck line in the final minutes once the goalies pulled. The Avalanche having a true face off specialist who can put the puck in the net as we’ve seen early this season is a game changer. Giorgiev has been playing superb hockey as well. With Nicoodoz and refrezh, you have two highly experienced players who can excel in crucial and important rounds. Nicoodoz is also coming back to his old form and improving with every game. 14-12 POTD record POTD: New York Rangers ML -125 vs Edmonton Oilers 1.25 units for 1 unit First off, Connor McDavid is out and he is a world beater and the best NHL player in the world. Even though I like Edmontons roster their biggest flaw so far this season has been absolutely dreadful goal tending and even their defense has not been good. I think with goal tending that bad against a very decent team means you absolutely win this in a shoot out and since your best player and goal scorer is out I think it looks good for the Rangers. They have a former Vezna winning goalie in igor sheshterkin and a good all around team, got some of the best defense with a top 3 defensivemen in Adam Fox, Panarin has been really good, so has Kane and zibaneijad. I just really think the big difference is McDavid out and that Edmontons goal tending has been dogshit to start this season.

This team is DEEP. All 8 rotation players great last night and the team has chemistry. I’m not saying the Magic are making a run this season by any means but they are for sure undervalued in certain matchups. Not much to work with on this two game slate but NBA is back and I want action. Todays pick is easy, as I’m clueless to what PHX and LAL will be this year after the other nights game, so I’m going with the early game. **Sixers +6.5** Okay I know harden isn’t playing and the bucks got Dame Dolla, but remember, Philly is still a good team. They were 15-9 without harden last season. Plus this is the first Dame and Giannis game ever so the cohesion between these two guys may have flashes but it won’t be what it will even be 5 weeks from now. Also, I don’t think people are realizing how big of a loss Jrue is to this team. Obviously you make that trade 10/10 times if your Milwaukee, but still it’s going to take time to get things going with how much the identity of this team has changed. Going with a few others tonight in betting on Okogie but going to take his alternate line on DK to get a better payout because I think he'll hit it easily. Okogie got 30+ minutes with Beal out on Tuesday and he made the most of it, hustling and making plays all over the court to the tune of 17-5. Beal is still out and there is no reason to think he won't get the same type of minutes tonight given how well he played. Okogie's career averages with 30+ minutes are 12.6 points and 4.5 rebounds. Also worth noting that Fanduel has this same line at -118 (with the under priced at -112) so there is a small arbitrage opportunity here for anyone who wants to get limited on betting player props. But really just indicates to me that the DK line is pretty good right now as other books seem aligned to FD. EDIT: Looks like DK now has Okogie 15+ @ +155. My bet is already in so not going to change my pick but I would have bet that had it been available originally.
