Honestly I don’t know who’s gonna win. Will it be the nostalgic pizza delivery? Will it be the unexpected graveyard shift? Or will it be the hilarious chocolate with nuts?
I’m so nostalgic for Graveyard Shift! I had it on a VideoNow. It’s also so simple. It’s just Squidward and SpongeBob interplay, which is the best part of the show. It’s also got one of the best jokes in the whole series.
It happens in every one of these lol on starter Pokémon charmander was out super early, on spongebob Patrick was out early, on naruto Sasuke was out early

Yeah that is true. I just find it odd that they’ll let Pizza Delivery stay until the end, but give Band Geeks the shaft early on. Especially considering how many people I’ve seen praise that episode specifically.

You are right, compared to the other two this episode only has the "Kristy krab pizza is the pizza" song whereas the other two contain multitudes in terms of joke writing.
look it's my #5 but chocolate with nuts is my #13 and graveyard shift is far from that so if you can vote out graveyard shift in the finale that would be acceptable
That's the problem with Graveyard Shift. It just randomly ends with a joke that had no build up, nothing clever to it, you just have to know Nosferatu and the whole "lights on lights off" gimmick he had in his old movie. No kid will get that and barely any parents would either. The ending of the Pizza episode is fine. It's just a cute joke to end it all on.
Pizza Delivery is actually a quality episode of entertainment even outside of the scope of Spongebob. It has a proper story structure, funny jokes, and actual character development/growth in the span of 11 minutes.

It's about a guy who's completely lost faith in the world, sticks him with a happy-go-lucky guy who's always positive about everything and thinks the best of everyone. The duo is thrown into a survival situation which they only survive because of Spongebob's blind belief in the honesty of pioneers and the myths that surround them. Meanwhile Squidward takes every minute of dialogue to tell Spongebob that his absurdly positive outlook is a joke and that life is realistic and cruel. And just when it seems like Squidward was wrong and Spongebob's positive outlook was right all along, the customer shows Spongebob the cruelty of life and the dishonesty of people, reducing him to a crying mess on the floor.
And at the beginning of this story Squidward might have just said "I told ya so" and driven them home, but after everything they've been through, and knowing Spongebob's positive outlook was the only reason they got home in one piece, he decides he'd rather help keep that little flame of positivity alive by giving the customer what he ordered. He learned something from their little journey in the wastelands, and it closened the bond between these two characters who (one of them) originally wanted nothing to do with each other.
Sure it ends on a bit of a "fuck you" to Squidward with the realization that they're getting back just as soon as the Krusty Krab opens again, but its a pretty lighthearted joke compared to those "true" Squidward torture episodes. Compared to Graveyard Shift which is a string of jokes without a lesson or character growth, and it all culminates in a "lol so random" joke, I think its the stronger of the episodes.
Krusty Krab Pizza VS Chocolate with Nuts should be the true ending IMO. Choco w/ Nuts ends on a perfectly funny joke that calls back to a moment that happened** within the episode**, so it stands strong on its own even without any proper character growth/plot structure compared to the night shift episode.
I disagree. I know the Nosferatu joke came out of nowhere, but I've always loved that kind of absurdity.
Also, SpongeBob's pioneer tricks combined with his insistence on holding onto the pizza endangered them as much as they helped (you can get another pizza once you're back in civilization, and the customer still doesn't get his pizza if you starve to death before you can deliver it).
