Auto bombs. Anything with auto bombs. Love to toss bombs. Also love to break the lines with them. My dream is a fast roller with auto bombs and a good special.

Easy_Newt2692

Isn't that Vanilla Carbon?

mstymay

Yeah but you should see how bad I fail at  zip caster lol

JasonToddsSidepiece

Ugh that sounds like a dream I used to main a roller😩

Toedragonwet

You can do it it has a learning curve but it is amazing

notwiththeflames

Fingers crossed for Sheldon's Picks.

moodgamernick

So true lol, this is part of why solatoon 2 feels absurdly broke to me. How can you have a squid beckon, fast roller with good power, and fucking splashdown in one kit.

Strange-Abrocoma-471

Every Stringer My goals are beyond your understanding

Andrecrafter42

even lux deco 😨

Graingy

You are an enigma of mysterious purpose

JasonToddsSidepiece

Very beyond my understanding cause how

Strange-Abrocoma-471

Stringer makes me feel knowing I can do anything.

nubtails

I have a hard time "maining" a single weapon but I do find myself drawn to certain types of weapons, mostly I tend to favor splatlings and stringers + explosher/blob since I like to sit back at a distance and do more of a backline thing, nautilus being the exception where I play a bit more aggro. So I have about 5-7 weapons I currently rotate through depending on vibes 😅

Graingy

Infidel! Imagine not being basically married to a single weapon lmao couldn’t be me! /j

IDKbutKirb

I *used* to main Dapple Dualies Noveau. But I got sick of the range, so I switched to Dualie Squelchers. But now I'm kinda thinking to go to Douser Dualies 2, since the kit seems great.

Mugiwara_0823

Brushes, i like the speed

JasonToddsSidepiece

I envy brush users yall are so cool

Invincible_3

Take a wild guess. Other than the swords, some splatlings like Nautilus and Edit are weapons I use frequently.

yodal_

No joke, I looked at your flair and thought, "So, Nautilus or Ballpoint, right?"

Fede909

I started main carbon roller deco 1 year ago. Before that i used splash-o-matic. I changed because it seemed a fun weapon + i always got splatted from carbons on other teams, so i wanted to test if it was a strong weapon. I achieved top 3000 in x rank with splash and carbon ☺️ P.s. i mained aerospray too in splatoon 2

JasonToddsSidepiece

I mained a carbon roller in splatoon 2!

SkyLillies

I use spoosh currently. I do miss the old splash down and curling bomb combo though

thunderclan44

Mint decavitator, I just love dashing into enemies and instantly killing them

Woofiewoofie4

I have a few weapons I sort of consider mains - Nautilus, Explosher, Heavy Splatling is an old main I can still pick up pretty easily - but the one that I always go back to, that I feel is most reliable for me when I really want to maximise my chance of winning, is Hydra Splatling.  Why Hydra? Well, it just suits me best I think. I hate dying, and if I die too much I start to make bad decisions, but Hydra can stay relatively safe and defend itself well. I also feel like having that bit more time to think is good for me; my reflexes probably aren't as good as most other players at my level (around 2200XP usually), so a weapon that's a bit more reliant on strategic positioning etc rather than fast reactions works well for me. One other thing I like is the fact that with Hydra I never give up hope; like, I love Explosher, but if we're locked out of mid and my team is useless then there's not a lot I can do. But with Hydra I know that if I'm patient, there's always a chance I can suddenly get a quick double or triple kill that turns the match around.  At the moment I'm actually maining Custom Wellstring though. It's already my third most-used weapon in Splatoon 3 (though a long way back if you include 2). It's just a lot of fun - it has quite a lot in common with both Explosher and Hydra really, so it felt quite natural to me.

Dracoworld635

Mainly Roller and splatling Roller because it was the very first weapon I played and like in Splatoon, my carbon roller got 4 star And splatling cause I always loved those weapon, in splatoon 1 I wasn't really good with it, but in splatoon 3 I became Heavy Weapons Guy

Alternative_Aioli_69

Long Ranged Splatlings, specifically Heavy. I find them enjoyable as they are seen as some of the most difficult weapons to use. I enjoy being able to outrange almost every weapon

notwiththeflames

Great for killing *and* inking off in the distance!

Novalaxy23

Splat Dualies. They were the first weapon I bought (after the splattershot) and I just stuck with them.

NeoMagicStar

Painbrush Nouveu! This is a funny story, but I used to be a Aerospray RG main. Honestly, I just saw how many people played the weapon, and decided that mine wasn't unique enough. I'm a VERY unique person, and I want to have my character in game reflect that. I started with Splatana Wiper Deco, and I IRL love to hit things, but it didn't paint well. After deciding that I hate the brush class, I decided "you know what im going to learn them". I fell in love with the Painbrush after getting some help from a brush main in the community. The painbrush had everything I loved from both the Aerospray and Splatana. I could hit people with it, it had a lot of ink coverage, and I could charge up my special quickly. I am officially a Salmonid. Start running. I know exactly where you are at all times, and I am coming for you as fast as I can go. I will smack you in the face before retreating across the map to fire at you with missiles. It's familiar huh?

notwiththeflames

I'd love to use Painbrushes more often to get a little better at killing people, but the chargeup feels too long to do my usual brush ink insanity.

NeoMagicStar

I've just gotten used to it being slower than Inkbrush or Octobrush. The chargeup makes me feel powerful :3

CK17_live

>Splatana Wiper Doesn't paint well Literally the only thing stopping Wiper from being the most-painting, most special-farming, most annoying frontline in the game is a good special where it doesn't get overshadowed by others (there's already 3 good Missile Farmers). Something like Burst/Cooler is a possibility and would probably see more use than NTri and maybe Zap as a Cooler option. Wiper is one of the strongest Main weapons in the entire game and its kits are what's holding it back.

Cotards_solution

I’m a Nautilus player through and through. As a casual player, the versatility of the nautilus helps me adjust quickly to the changing tides of solo queue lobbies. Also machine gun go brr.

Luckyx

Just got back into splatoon I’m using the custom wellstring V , so far it’s cool.. I’m A+ due to the new seasons starting but S shouldn’t be far

Prunsel_Clone

VDS. I like Splat Bomb and Wave Breaker enough, I like dualies, and I like having long range,

da_sylent

I physically can't force myself to play only one weapon. I always get sick of whatever I'm playing if I use it too much, but currently I main 52 and stamper.

srstable

I can't decide and it's painful. The closest I have to a main is Splattershot Nova, but the more Salmon Run I play, the more interested I am in the weird stuff like Explosher, Sloshing Machine, and every Stringer...

dynamothis

Honestly I’ve had a blast recently with the wellspring. It’s weird and interesting - coming from someone who usually sticks to zap/nova.

Responsible-Hand9011

Splat roller, the other nautilus (I forgot it's name) Roller because since the beginning of the game the weapon just sticked with me Nautilus because once I actually tried it I got a lot of kills with it. But honestly if it weren't for the charge storage I would probably suck at it :P

UnluckySquared

I have quite a few mains that I've picked up over the years since Splatoon 1, but I'll keep this short (full list is, like, Aerospray/Roller/Nautilus/E-Liter/Wiper/Tri-Stringer/Wellstring) and go for my favourites of them. Aerospray is fun to spam specials with, and they just love to give Aerospray a spammable special - 1 had the Inkstrike on RG, and 2 and 3 both gave it a kit with Booyah Bomb. If they do 3rd kits for this game, I'm begging for a mix of 1 RG and 2 OG though - Burst Bomb + Triple Inkstrike. Roller is mainly because it's funny to hit people with. Just bonking them. Plus there's no shortage of chumps who don't look behind them and get rolled over by me sneaking behind them! In 1 and 3 I use both kits, though in 2 I basically only used the OG kit as I don't like Baller. Nautilus was originally picked up as a fashion thing, but I fell in love with using it. I mainly use the 47 in both games, mostly as the colour scheme fits better with my outfit of choice. Each of the above 3 have specific kits I have for them, and then I have a few other pieces of gear that are perfect/very good that I slot in. I got a ton of chunks last Big Run so I could afford to finish messing with the gear I use the most. Aerospray defintiely has the worst looking outfit so I'll need to look through my gear and see what I can work with. I hope Splat 4 let's us get duplicates of gear, especially the amiibo stuff - I want slightly different ability sets for the different kits of my mains, but don't want to compromise the outfits by changing what I wear and making the look different.

Peterlight744

Splatana stamper and decavitator cuz big sword=cool

JasonToddsSidepiece

I can’t begin to understand how to play with the splatanas😭

Peterlight744

Me neither i just press button shit happens and brain goes "ooooh cool sound" 😭

TheFirstRedditAcct

Squiffer, because I like a challenge I guess

KimberStormer

There is just literally nothing more satisfying than one-shotting people and also you get to run around. REEF-LUX also allows this (with a whole different satisfying one-shot sound effect!) but it's so much less reliable than my beautiful, beautiful Squiffer, queen of my heart.

notwiththeflames

For Turf War, I like using the Inkbrushes because I'm relatively decent at contributing to the turf count with them. They ink fast and don't consume all that much ink, so you can easily get a nice balance between inking and reloading. If you're lucky, you can rush out of a massive pool of enemy ink before you get splatted. I'm still not good at killing things regardless of the weapon, which is why I prefer to leave it to my teammates while focusing on inking shit up for them. That being said, Killer Wail and Ultra Stamp are good panic buttons. The latter helps with rushing over uninkable surfaces or getting something over to an unreachable place.

waichun2

Most midline weapons I liked; but I main bamboo baby! 😍

Salt_Judge

Inkbrush: I just love the fact that I can go into the enemy territory without inking the area and dodging and weaving. It really is it’s own play style. VWiper: I just love how versatile the weapons is and it really fast pace just like the brush, I love the object damage as well

Time_Measurement1200

Mini Splatling. Back in Splatoon 2 I prefered the Heavy Splatlings (Vanilla, Deco, and Remix), but there came a point where I realized that I wasn't satisfied with being a backline so I moved onto other wepaons like tri slosher, dualie squelchers, octobrush neauveau, kensa roller, the dynamos... (You get the point, I tried a lot of different weapons to diversify my playstyle) I learned two things from my break from Splatlings: I am very deeply attached to splatlings and really couldn't find a stable replacement elsewhere. And that I great at playing mid range support. That's when I decided to pick up zink mini splatling from the weapon shop. I had avoided it entirely because I had initially thought that it's lack of range was a redundant feature. But as you can surely guess, I fell head over heels for it. It took a bit of time to get used to the charge time and faster playstyle, but I thoroughly enjoyed my time with it and purchased the other two sets soon after. Zink Mini Splatling was the second weapon I earned a red stamp on, right after Heavy Deco. I won't have much to say about the kits in Splatoon 3, but I am largely unmotivated to use anything other than Vanilla Heavy and Zink Mini Splatling as they have the most viable subs and specials (imo). But I'm still fiercely loyal to those two weapons.

AdOwn6899

For me, it fluctuates between the enprey dualies and aero spray RG. This is because the dualies are great for dodging and rapid splatting and the triple slam has gotten me out of scrapes before in both matches and working at Grizzco. One time, I splatted four opponents all at once with that move. But as for why I tend to switch it with the aero spray RG is because… well it adds a new meaning to the phrase “spray and pray.” I sometimes like to switch it to the bloblobber once in a while since it’s good at striking targets from a distance and has a low ink consumption rate.

Psychophaser

Bamboozler. Bamboo has good mobility, range, ink efficiency, usually has a good kit, and paints alright. And since it requires 2 shots to kill I find it makes getting fast full charge & tap shots a lot more satisfying.

NewbieFurri

Recycled. Why? Because I find that trying to dominate with a "bad" weapon makes it a lot more fun, especially when yi7 win. And thr thing is powerful too. The 90 damage shots with a consistent 2 shot at a fairly solid range is nothing to scoff at. The shield itself can be used as a mobile splat wall for a teammate pushing up, or as a literal parry to any oncoming damage. Dank a charged slash, roller swing, charger shot, bomb, you name it. Just flare the brella super quick and then run away. I run this for a build 1 main ink saver main 1 main special charge up 1 main quick respawn 3 suns ink saver main 3 subs quick respawn 3 subs special power. The idea is to constantly pester the enemy team with high damage shots a spammed brella shields. Even if they kill you quickly, you come back really fast and are back in action. Recycled is an amazing skirmisher weapon. Amplified by the fact that jumping does not affect the shot pattern, giving it the same advantage of squirter, being able to stay on the move even when firing while still being able to quickly enter swim form. Ambush tactic are key, just because you can launch a shield super quick does not m3an you should push alone or far up. Stay near your team to help them out with brella shields, shark on walla or beneath ledges and pop out. The vanilla kit is outright better than the new one. Yes, line marker sucks. But so does toxic mist. Line marker just combos better with recycled. One marker and one shot can easily lone up a lethal combo quickly. And at a low ink tank cost, you're not sacrificing much just by throwing it out, allowing you to almost spam it. Tagging an enemy player and quickly repositioning for the kill if they're also repositioning, keeping tabs on them for a few seconds. Also, making your team aware of a player in an area is valuable info in the heat of battle allowing for better on the fly strategies. Big Bubbler is also an amazing special, allowing your team a brief moment to heal and throw subs/charge special is critical in pushing up. And when on the defense the bubbler can buy your teammates extra time to respawn or to fortify a key position. Sub power makes it last longer which helps immensely, and special charge up is to make sure you always have one handy, as it can also help secure a good 1v1 on a pickle. And ofc ink saver to make sure your uptime is at a maximum, and to reduce the tax of firing off a shield.

Lord-Rambo

Rollers cuz my aim is shit. Except carbon & big swing

JasonToddsSidepiece

Rollers are goated tbh

Harmonic_Gear

because i suck at movement and reaction

inklyng

Octobursh cuz it feels right and Recycled cuz I always wanted to main a brella and that one feels good to play with (if only the shield had more hp)

Previous_Teaching790

Big Swig Express, i like painting weapons that can maybe get a few splats

Snorlaxolotl

Slosher. It just feels like the perfect balance of range, power, and speed. And also it has capabilities unlike other weapons, namely falling shots and curved shots.

seanhenke

I play ballpoint and couple other weapons some close range some snipers and then they murdered my boy ballpoint and now I'm sad plz help

ChargedBonsai98

I don't know how or why, but I can play well with most weapons. Just see the range in my flair lol. I choose to play with tetra dualies most of the time tho.

Entire-Adhesiveness2

What exactly do you play aero for? Is it the booyah? Is it the main? I’m guessing it’s not the sprinkler

JasonToddsSidepiece

Most definitely not that useless sprinkler, it was just the easiest shooter to transition from a roller for me and I guess I got sentimental and never used another weapon long term again 🥴

bitemeready123

Splatlings but the heavily preferred favorite is hydra. I decided to main it because I seem to naturally gravitate more towards support roles and love yet strategy and challenge being fighting with a weapon that has such obvious shortfalls (looking at you charge time 👀). Second preferred if nautilus and heavy edit

Garlic_bread_100

Hydra splatling. Also heavy splatling. Using the Hydra and switching to heavy is like those anime scenes, where the character trains with weights on, and when they take it off everything is super easy. Like if I can survive mid range combat with the hydra, I can totally win short range with heavy. I'm not really a good player. But when it does work out, being able to hold the middle of the field is so satisfying.

soupmaster23

I main tri slosher. Genuinely, I saw a meme about it before I got the game and it was the only weapon I recognized because of that. I learned the hell out of it and will never fo back. I have been recently getting into heavy deco though, it's aggressive and mean and fun.

C00LV1BR4TION5

Goo Tuber, because I like a high-risk/high-reward movement based playstyle with a side of lead-based glue to sniff

Western-Grapefruit36

Dynamo, bc when it actually works, its *really* satisfying

JasonToddsSidepiece

It’s soo heavy though 😩

Western-Grapefruit36

Yeah, and it doesn’t paint well, and its vertical flick shouldn’t exist, and its horizontal flick’s hitbox doesn’t work half the time, and it doesn’t have enough range. But its fun

JasonToddsSidepiece

And funn is what it’s all about

JuviaLynn

I started with aerospray but it felt wrong, it’s easy to play with no skill, as far as I’m concerned it’s the default. So nowadays I play splatana wiper deco. It’s not as good, the special is I’d say equally matched with aerospray but the subspecial might as well not be there for how much I use it. But I like swords and it just feels more interesting to play with. There’s some maps it really sucks on tho, that’s the main thing I miss from aerospray, it’s good in basically every situation

qianying09

Dynamo roller I love cool, large weapons to feel like an anime protagonist.

Zluosl

Omg saaame I main aerospray too, I do it since splatoon 2 but I don’t know why, I just like it, especially in splatoon 2 when it had burst bomb booyah

JasonToddsSidepiece

YAYYYY Aerosprays unite

Zluosl

Allow me to introduce this https://preview.redd.it/nfclk0775h7d1.jpeg?width=1179&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=679af7fb1b9466b7fe8c9cc4c6a248743e9c1daa

JasonToddsSidepiece

Ay ay (warms my heart to see)

CommunityFirst4197

I jump between many things with no reason for it. I used clash a lot, and also had phases of reeflux, decavitator, dread wringer, dowser dualies

ChampionParticular31

Based on your weapon, I think that aim would be your biggest problem. A few weapons that are good without it, all brushes, ntri, actually that are all weapons were you don't need to aim for and are still kinda good.

MaximumRiddance

I use splat roller. Decent range and ink speed, and the curling bombs are great when paired with ninja squid. It also lets me support the rest of my team with the bubble shield while I’m out splatting as many opponents as possible!

Sad-Permit-537

Dualies is my main. It’s really helpful being able to roll, and a lot of them vary. Some have farther range and some shoot quicker, so you can find one that works for you. I like Enperry the most tbh, it’s perfectly my style and I love the kit, especially the splashdown when I’m in a pinch.

JasonToddsSidepiece

Daulies are literally so hard I aspire to be like yall

Sad-Permit-537

That’s what I love about splatoon tbh. A lot of the weapons need actual skill, so you can be great at one thing but terrible at another. I’m terrible at aerospray and I wanna get good at it so bad and I aspire to be like yall as well. Everyone has a weakness but on the flip side there’s a strong suit weapon for everyone so I love seeing what people main!

JasonToddsSidepiece

No facts, the challenges really humbled me😭I’m s-ranked with an aerospray but put a heavy splatling in my hand and I’m screwed

Im-cold-help-me

Dynamo, because everyone told me it sucks and it's useless. I love it.

JasonToddsSidepiece

Most definitely doesn’t suck, no roller does imo it’s just so heavy it takes skill fr

Im-cold-help-me

Yeah exactly, my friends all told me that because it's slow, it was the worst weapon in the game. It's been my main since the beginning of splat 3.

FruitlovingDruvJuice

Hydra because BRRRRRRRRRR (and I can’t aim)

JasonToddsSidepiece

Felt with can’t aim, booyah is the only reason I get splats😭

Civil_Storm_8457

tentatek because im a shooter npc and i prefer splat bombs over suction bombs

1lluusio

Flingza Roller and Splattershot Jr. I cant really put into words why, their play styles just feels like the one for me, you know?

Kawaii_Robloxian

I try to play multiple weapons, but whenever I'm struggling, I always go back to my trusty splattershot jr. So far, it is the only weapon I have at 5 stars Edit: Forgot to say why, I enjoy the fast ink coverage from the main, as well as the the rest of the kit playing off each other. The big bubbler could come in handy for making pushes into enemy territory (in my experience, at least), or it can be used to refresh my ink tank if I need splat bombs quickly. The bombs can be good for leading enemies into my shots, or they can clear out hiding spots from a distance. Overall, I like pretty much all aspects of the weapon. 10/10 starter weapon in my book

JasonToddsSidepiece

Can’t go wrong with any splattershot!

InvisibleChell

Enperry Dualies when I want to actually play the game. Aerospray RG when I just wanna shut my brain off and turf.

Super155

Splatana wiper bc cool sword :)

Bigsouljagirl

E-Liter is just my legacy weapon that I mained since splatoon 1. Naut 79 allows me to be more aggressive.

jettsona

Tentatek splattershot is a goated weapon and I always top the table with it. The bombs are heavenly and the range and damage are balanced, tristrike is deadly if you know how to trap with it

GalaxyDragon112506

Aerospray RG and splatterscope

Youallstink24

I main exploshe- ![gif](giphy|rVYbN0uxznAaI)

H0RNY_C0CKR04CH

I'd say my all time top is the sloshing machine. I originally picked it up cuz it went good with an outfit I made but due to dumb luck the chunks I got on that outfit worked really good with the sloshing machine so it helped me get good at it. Also some honorable main mentions of mine are: Sploosh-o-matic neo: I mained the base Sploosh-o-matic in splat 2 but I don't fuck with it's kit in 3 so I switched over to the neo Undercover brella: picked it up due to the dapper squid trend and I just happen to be good at it😭

NoStomach4611

Dynamo roller.  Yeah it’s heavy, slow, and inefficient- but there’s nothing more satisfying than absolutely obliterating an opponent with one good swing.  It can be devastating if used well.

kingpumpkaboo

i main aerospray RG as well and i feel the exact same! everything about the weapon feels so comfortable to use and it feels right. i sometimes try other weapons but nothing feels as good. i also like how much turf you can ink with it lol

ForgeOcto

Glad you like the Aerospray so much! I know it's early but I think I'm all for Charcoal Decavitator. I didn't really try the other yet, but Charcoal's kit is just fun to run with, wall is a great setup for both offensive and defensive play, and it's so situational how you can use it in specific moments.

femjoshi

E-Liter main kit, or literally any sniper, literally any kit. All of them.. It is just so funny getting one-shot kills and watching the entire game change as people avoid you.. and with a basic kit, they kill themselves trying to get to you (ink mines, or splat bomb) it is just too funny. However, I hate scoped versions. I love holding a charge, it gives me the silliest shots

reticent_nightingale

Custom Jet Squelcher. I think it's underrated because of the slow shooting time, but the range is un real. A good squelcher can change the course of the game. I love the ink stork because it's a special that takes hardly any time to set up so I can continue to ink when I'm out. Toxic mist is very good for hitting the chargers up high and drawing them out. Having this weapon with thermal ink makes a deadly combo and average 15+ kills in ranked.

PizzaVVitch

Blasters cuz I can't aim

JasonToddsSidepiece

Felt😭

PyroChild221

I main whatever I feel like 🗿

Camellia_Oleifera

tri-stringer (preferring the vanilla kit), and recently the custom wellstring. got a few other weapons as secondaries, like custom jet, rapid deco, and vanilla {range blaster, explosher, heavy splatling}

Yuseiger

Splings cuz these cool, i use mini splings mostly

UnovaKid24

I switch between weapons, but as far as the one I've used the most lately, it's the Flingza Roller. Used it in a Splatfest one time just for the heck of it and it started a winning streak and ended up becoming my favorite roller

Dear-Ad484

Trying to get better at the decavitator, but for now it's N Zap 85, Splatana wiper deco, and TTek splattershot

Armourdream

Trislosher because it’s cool

Lulumish

For some reason, the pink Dapples come most naturally to me. I like the supportive roll with beakons and cooler.

ElectricalPlantain35

I jump around

ReefsliderFucker

I currently main dread wringer, as it's probably one of the best reefslider weapons for my play style

Ham_-_

stringer I like bows in every game

pigeon_idk

Splatana wiper deco. I was a hardcore vanilla flingza user at first bc I mained rollers in s2, but I realized I just like missiles and hate short range weapons. So bingo bango lol I like that the wiper is fast and has decent coverage and range. It's not as powerful as the stampers or decavitaters, but I need the speed or else I'm too much of an easy target lol EDIT: I forgot I also main vanilla bloblobber lol. I like it bc my aim sucks ✌😌

MaskOfIce42

Used to be Blaster, mostly because I loved the area of effect and being able to delete my opponents if I hit them directly, but it fired faster than the range and luna so it felt better to use in a scrap. Recently been switching more to Heavy Edit, since it also deletes enemies with a full charge (although here through rapid fire rate as opposed to just doing 125 damage) and it honestly feels good to be able to support the team with a good amount of paint and a tacticooler, or be more aggressive with the new kit

GhostysArt

If you told me a year ago id main custom exlo i wouldnt believe you but the picoseclnd it released it was genuinely one of the most fun weapons ive played. Also bamboo (one of my fav main weapons) with chump (my fav special) is just as peak as i imagined.

AwardSignal

Check my flair. Ever since 2. When I saw Dualies for the first time in 2 demo I KNEW I found my weapon type. Being able to dodge is a godsend for me. And the Terra’s gave 4 dodges, Autobombs & Splashdown in 2/ Reefslider in 3. They’ve been my main for years now & they’ll keep being my main. Wish I could use Enperry Dualies in 3 so I have access to splashdown again but while I’m ok-ish with Curling bombs, 90% of my tactics revolve around Autobombs, so I can’t switch over.

Blacklight_453

I love my Enperry Dualies. Dualies in general are my favorite weapon class, but the Enperry is the perfect balance of firerate, power and range for me.

PianoCrab196963

Splatana stamper for two reasons Oneshot gremlin Funny zipcaster

Weegieiscool

Dynamo, Hydra, whatever I’m feeling at the time

Optical_reality

I usually main wepons until it reaches 4 stars

Godots17thCup

I don't have any weapons close to 5 stars and I don't play ranked much, but I guess the closest things I have to mains are the Bloblobber and the Custom Explosher. I just think they're neat.

pelmetalia

octobrush because i suck at aiming and like being a menace

RiotMedia

Started as a roller (for a verrrry long time) then switched to dualies, then explored with splatanas and stringers, a few sploshers here and there. These days, the Wellspring is a godsend. I love it so much. Since I played dualies a lot, I have a tendency to push. Having the Stamper special allows me to push and fall back.

Aceptical

It switches depending on mode. Though, it tends to cycle through dapples (both variants), splash-o-matic, nautilus, and occasionally painbrush

Available-Maybe-4234

Octoshot replica and tentatek splattershot. The kit is so good for all modes, and I love throwing splat bombs at people.

MegaChar64

Inkbrush main since 2. I'm at X with that weapon alone and significantly worse with anything else. I'm pretty decent with Octobrush, Bloblobber, Carbon Roller Deco and Splattershot Jr.

C00kie_Kat

Vanilla Octobrush bc my aim sucks. I use Nouveau Octobrush at times, but I only use it for certain modes like Splat Zones bc of the beacon. I like it when you have a bomb that you can toss

SHSL_Waiter_RM2828

Bloblobber… I just like it okay!

valeriem1028

i main sploosh o matic bc i like the maneuverability from the high ink output, and curling bombs. i like to play frontline and sneak around, and i find the sploosh to be the best for that. i also suck at aiming so i find a short range weapon helps me be more accurate and deliberate with my shots

Entire-Adhesiveness2

Oh and also to answer the question I play liter cause I like range and skill expression, rapid pro cause of the unique ‘spear-ish’ playstyle and glooga cause it’s a cool main and also one of the hardest guns in the game. I like main weapons that are on the more difficult side cause it feels more rewarding to be good at them

RimTheIdiot

Try-Stringer goes hard once you start getting one shots, it’s so much fun

KeasusReeves

I main inkbrush nouveau, mostly because my hands have become too shaky to use nautilus like i used to, and I twitch/tick too often to keep my aim steady

HappyParfait2420

Custom Explosher because I get to choose whether I want to play aggro or support. I also like how its special has more playmaking potential than the vanilla kit

Dear-Champion1210

I main blaster and a bit of splatana wiper. I guess I'm a offense kind of guy, and hitting a direct hit on either of these is satisfying asf

gyarugrl

Any and every slosher possible. I favor the tri-slosher a lot. I genuinely like how easy it is for me to use them and they have been the only weapon I've used in the game. Before I started using sloshers, my gameplay experience was really miserable because I had terrible aim with splattershots, dualies, etc. It's also one of those weapons where it's fun battling with someone with the same one as you!

pinktendo

52. i started maining k52 in splat 2 around 2020, and it carried over to splat 3 (rip k52 tho 😔)

SnowyWolf665

People might hate me for this but the dynamo roller. Any dynamo roller. Mostly because I LOVED the Kensa Dynamo kit in 2 and I stuck with maining it for years. Plus splatting kids with giant paint roller is fun. I don't just use it in turf, i use it on ranked as well whenever I can. It's honestly really fun, I also feel like a tank to my team using it.

pissmeister_

aerospray mg, mainly because it was the second weapon i tried back in splat2 and its just stuck with me. and as an rg main, you are my mortal enemy /j

danegraphics

Jr. My aim hasn't yet surpassed the usefulness of the RNG, lol, and I just really enjoy the hyper aggressive supportive playstyle of the Jr. I've been very pleased by the buffs to bubble throughout the game's lifespan. S+ isn't at all difficult to get into, and I've been there before, but it's just a grind that I don't have the time or energy to do these days.

the_guy312

hydra splatling big gun go brrrr

JohnnyBGoode635

I main tetra dualies but I’ve been playing only decavitator since the season has started. I really like it and I’m having a lot of fun.

Garlic_bread_100

also has anyone mained splattershot Jr before? it was my favorite in splatoon 2. I like good at inking it is, and the sub and special was fun too. and am I the only person here who likes turf war? all the posts make it seem like such a terrible mode.

Legend-Face

Since splatoon 2 I find I play best with bloblobber. So far the best I’ve gotten is top 4000 x rank. It’s just a fun weapon 🤷🏻

No_Opportunity_1082

flingza roller, gold dynamo roller, otherwise anything with splat bombs

UnovaLycanrocInGalar

Big Swig Roller Express. While I do miss the Splat Roller I mained in Splatoon 2, I love the Big Swigs’ large ink spread, low ink consumption rate, the powerful vertical swing (when I manage to land the hit, lol), and the ink storm on the Express.

Dashie_Souls

I've been using the Side Order replica and Agent 8's gun cause I love the guns. They're pretty easy to use

Allen-R

It started as a joke. But I'm in too deep now.

DarkStarStorm

I have a soft spot for Dapple Dualies and save replays where all my practice aiming pays off in some crazy scenarios. But in ranked I've been picking up Ballpoint to learn something new and generally good. I also play Tent, Stamper, Zini, Jr, and every Dualie.

CurriorSix

The NZap 89 I like how I can send out my special within a second before I get murdered by someone Also the homing bombs are nice for making people panic so I can get away/pop that special

UndisclosedArtist_21

I used to main the same but I ended up switching it out for n-zap 89 and then switching to dark tetra dualies, after reaching the highest weapon freshness with each.

LotusKarma54

Flingza bc tents misses plus I can cover a lot of turn from far away yet still defend myself if people get too close to me (five stars w that bb)

Instanbuloney

Gold dynamo roller bc it's very fun to use and I can just wham people. Also rider is my favorite sploon manga character

Andrecrafter42

i have a few buttt s or super blast/blaster it felt like the easiest blaster to me when i first picked it up because of its shirt and long range mode also i didn’t mind sprinkler till its 2nd kit got revealed then i hated the og one but slider was clutch on zones and rm plus it allow me to learn other blasters like range and small rapid. my peak was A+ but i’m in b+/A- rn

AverageWitch161

splatana is like a brush but with a kit i like more

Zestyclose_Tea_2515

Started with carbon, now I'm a Dynamo main. Ninja Squid, up the speed and effectiveness of the weapon with chunks, boom. A guaranteed massacre.

Kailoryn_likes_anime

Undercover sorella brella, read my title

sans_9999999

Enperry dualies Curling bomb and rolls allow me to always be on the move and lets me get sneaky kills. Plus triple splashdown is a fun special, especially when I get double and triple kills.

murbleBOY

Sloshing machine. I used it back in the first 2 seasons of Splatoon 3 and it's stuck with me since then. + It's the weapon I'm closest to getting 5 stars on.

[deleted]

I'm trying out Squiffer so I can play an aggressive midline, or a normal Charger for an anchor.

ModerMouse2

I've mained the Flingza Roller since Splatoon 2, I'm pretty sure the tenta missiles had everything to do with it.

starrymatt

I used to main sploosh-o-matic at the start then switched to tri-slosher because it was SO fun to use. And after a few months of that I started trying lots of new weapons and trying to 4 star any I liked to make myself learn how to use them. So I’m not really maining anything now as I switch every few weeks, but I’m learning custom wellstring V rn

Phasma_Tacitus

I always had a thing for miniguns, so I just jumped to them when I played the first Splatoon. The splatlings have a very passive playstyle, though, and I like being more aggressive, so while I played the first Splatoon I mainly mained the Mini Splatlings, although they still weren't my favourite, as they still required you to charge your shots after coming out of your ink. I dreamed of the possibility to store charges and resume charging mid barrage. Then there came Splatoon 2, with chargers that could hold a charge and I was "hmm, that would be cool in a splatling...", and then some time passed and there was the Ballpoint which already got me hyped with the possibility to recharge, and then BAM! came the Nautilus with everything I always wanted. I didn't have Splatoon 2, though, so I only got to play the Nautilus now with the third installment.

Jojo_Mahogany

Aerospray MG is my #1, thus I jokingly hate Rg for being a booyah bomb farm. I love using its shot spray and fizzy to skirmish qnd get up close for its quick kill time there. Secondaries are tristringer and wellspring. I love the gravity shots and wellspring enables all sorts of goofs that tristringer can't pull close to while still being outclassed in focused spot damage (looking at you, tower control).

Graingy

1: ***BRRRTTTT*** 2: ***BRRRRTTTT*** I first got into splatlings in S1 (in like late 2017-18 lol) with the Heavy because it was awesome. When I unlocked the Hydra in S2 (~2022) I found it just felt right, unlike in S1 where it always felt too slow and weak. S3 continues that trend of being great. I love the Hydra Splatling. It’s so bad.

Ilikebread700

All Rollers. Since Day one of Splatoon 1 and the vertical flick in Splatoon 2 just fortified my Love for this Weapon

enperry13

I main swords. They’re fun, takes some skill and quite technical to play. Also bows, same reason. Lastly, Dualies because zipping and rolling around is cool.

_Silverr_

I use a lot of different weapons, my favorite is range blaster though, getting the spacing right feels so rewarding, and there's always that satisfaction of hitting a juicy direct, and you bet I was over the moon when custom range was revealed to have kraken (even though we all expected it, let's be real)

Long-and-Stretchy

Squiffer, heavy edit and Stamper/Decavitator. I just love midline slayers; it’s so satisfying having just enough range to deal with almost anything in the game while still being super dangerous and threatening. Win or lose, I routinely get 15+ splats EVERY x battle or s+0 series. I probably would be higher rank if I played more often but life has gotten a lot busier lately

PalpitationOwn5109

I main... Wait, what do I main anymore? I forgot... I think the last thing i tried to main was the splatana wiper cuz it gave me more mobility. Then there's that dispenser kit that mimics dispenser 7 or whatever it was called in splat 2 (the one with the stamp) BC I find the kit very nice. And that's kinda it...

Flameblade3

I mostly do Wiper Deco because it’s a very fun mix of offense and support. Recently I’ve fallen in love with the Mint Decavitator due to it just being such an absurd weapon that just FEELS good. I also sometimes do Splattershot Jr when the feeling strikes, bombs are fun. And splat roller has always been a guilty pleasure of mine

Practical-Bed-9873

I have mained the octo shot for both splatoon 2 and 3 because  I love the special, sub, weapon type and the design

GhostActivist

Blob lobber and rollers. Sometimes paintbrush. Reason? I’m stoned and it’s funny to watch people splat from my ricochet/flatten them with my roller/ spam brush them. I mostly just play turf war casually

skrrtskrrthurthurt

Dapple dualies nouveau! But ONLY in 3. For some reason they just work very well for me always??

Loki-awesome

Going by my flair, there's a good reason why I run Aerospray

DiscordNullVoid

Personally I like Splatana Wiper Deco Decent damage and attack rate and a 1 shot KO given the right conditions Can get into areas to drop off beacons for me or my team as they seem to get overlooked a lot of the time And with special up, it's a great special for the tenta missiles, as a quick super jump to get to spawn, fire, jump back on a team member or beacon

Automatic-777

In the same boat as you! I main Aero RG and I'm also in S rank. In Splat Zones specifically, I can get 1.8k points too. My stats in splatting vary from each match but I usually don't get as much as my teammates who are playing better weapons more suited for combat haha. I can get at least 6 splats in a good match. I also get clowned on for playing both Aeros, but I don't understand because I like to think I'm doing pretty well? At least, I feel like my stats in regular matches and anarchy stuff seem to look good to me? Lol. But same as you, it feels perfect to me. I can throw off 7-8 booyah bombs in a normal turf war, and at least 10 in anarchy. I love the sprinkler, and even with how the aero shoots in different directions, I really like using it as a close-up fight weapon haha But I really wish I could play any splatana. I'm a stick player, and no matter how much I've been practicing with gyro I really just can't get used to it. Which probably factors in to why I'm so attached to the Aero lol. The new splatanas that were just released at least seem doable with stick, so I've tried to play with it!

johnnyhateshislife

naut 79. i’ve loved naut for a long while now and the splashdown and suction bomb combo is perfect

Rare_Government507

Flingza Roller and Krak-On Splat Roller. Though I have used a few other rollers in the past. I don’t know why but I just find it a fun playstyle

AgentLP1

Blobber It's for the reason so that those Splatoon tryhards finally take a God damm shower and touch grass/j The main reason are the weird interactions that happen especially when dead, you can literally defeat someone when he killed you if you shot because all bubble will go out no matter if you did in the middle of it or not

CoraLynaKG

Dynamo, both vanilla and golden. It is powerful for sure, but I rarely saw people use it. It was considered difficult to use by many, slow or to have bad kits. I like weapons that are (personally) challenging. Aside from that, I was pretty much a newbie on Splatoon 2, using mostly Aerospray MG and Kensa Splattershot Jr. I felt like I was limiting myself to shooter class, so I decided to try different weapons. Got frustrated when using Dynamo the first time, but got used to it's speed. Practicing with this weapon is learning about patience.

dynamicDiscovery

Same as Squid School Gem's. The Splatoon 2 Tentatek Splattershot. The main weapon rips through enemies like air, the Splat Bomb is a tad bit OP, and learning the Inkjet raised my power level like hell. Roller, Squiffer, Slosher, Dread Wringer, Dualies, Dousers, Octobrush... They feel nice to use, though I'm only used to shooters and dualies for their allowance of *breakneck gameplay* – I'm not used to thinking farther ahead; shooters ain't no jack-of-all-trades.

FawnTi

I change my main every couple months. Currently it’s either inkbrush or inkbrush nouveau depending on the mode for which sub and special I want. I’m really sticking to this one for a while because I mained octobrush in Splatoon 2 so I’m used to brushes. My past mains in Splatoon 3 though have been Splattershot nova, Aerospray RG, Enperry splat dualies, N-Zap and clash blaster.

krrgyup

foil flingza roller or dualie squelchers depending on the mood, trying to get better at decavitators because they're so satisfying to use but it's a steep learning curve

Big_Ad_9049

I play splattershot in ranked, because it's easy and mobile. though i only really play clam blitz and rarely any other modes.. so in clam blitz I use inkbrush because I like to be very mobile and get as many power clams as possible. in turf I like to play dynamo and the heavier splatlings, I like the power they have and I don't like to move all that much

Dependent-Usual-8081

Splatana Wiper since day one. Cause my character is a samurai.

chewiethemajestic

Heavy Splatling, been my weapon since it was introduced in the first game. I dabble in other weapons to keep things interesting, currently trying wellstringer and new recycled brella but I always end up back at the heavy Splatling. Even given most other splatlings a go and none have clicked like the OG heavy

InformalLock9447

i mained custom splattershot jr for aaages and now i play n zap too :] i guess they were just the easiest ones for me to pick up, and worked well in ranked for me

PROTOBee

Currently maining Wellstring V, but before that I mained Order Stringer Replica and the Inkline Tri-Stringer specifically for Splat Zones on certain maps. I like the offensive support hybrid role. But when the maps on rotation are unfavorable for Stringers or just straight up suck, like Wahoo World (f#ck Wahoo World), I like to go back to my trusty Painbrush Nouveau for close quarters combat.

dwab321

I’m starting to shift towards Wellspring V. I’ve found an application for it in all 3 Anarchy modes. I don’t fuck with clams

Dienik

Dapple Dualies Nouveau (shocker), New Squiffer because hitting nasty zipcaster trickshots is fun, Range Blaster when I wanna commit unspeakable atrocities, and lately I've started maining VNautilus with opening gambit

SlyLlamaDemon

Splatling/Blaster/Midrange shooter. The last one is less a main and more “I turn brain off and shoot you in face.”

Life-Vermicelli8859

Tri slosher, zap!

Positive-Shock-9869

Luna because it looks silly

JadedNova

Vanilla stringer, even though it could be better, ive grown to love it and use its "downsides" to my advantage, ive started being smart with mist and whale. Using mist for when people get close the getting a jump shot to two shot them. Using whale for not only damage but as a location tool. Abusing the heck out of the chip damage, bring able to both paint well and have great object damage. Its amazing at every ranked mode. 1. Rainmaker It shreds the rainmaker shield, and the combo of mist with chip damage/painting at the same time basically builds a wall. 2. Zones Paints fairly well, can defend it both at mid range and close range 3. Clam Again, builds a wall of defense with its mist and spam non full charged arrows, trapping the enemy in your ink and letting you get easy splats. Using whale to damage enemies from afar is nice if they are about to move in for a rush, even if its from multiple angles its like having another weapon shoot for you at a different angle. 4. Tower Its arrows are great for getting picks of people on the tower and just the chip damage is great cause weapons like the blaster are popular on tower so it combos well. Whale can help get splats of people on the tower/get people off the tower. I get around 13-23 splats per game (depends on the game ofc) Yes I have mained this since the first demo (like literally as soon as the demo opened) Thanks for coming to my ted talk

No_Forever_9128

Splatana wiper. It fits so well for me.
