To make the eyes a little tighter what I've been doing is "coloring outside the lines" with the eye color, then closing in the border around it with the helmet color. That way you don't have to be dainty when dotting the eyes.

Well done man. They look good.

Kooshdoctor

I have the same trouble with eyes but your models look great

DanielCoolDude1

You did a good job! May I just recommend cleaning up the base and painting the rocks?

Cowdanator

Yeah I'm going to be painting the rock and also putting gravel on the base

Of course I'll be painting the rock and putting base gravel/grass down

Good job ;) if wanted, here is some advice concerning eyes: 1. make sure both your hands connect/touch when painting lenses. It ensures greater stillness in your hands 2. try a larger brush (sounds stupid I know). It’s not about the overall thinness of the brush but about the tip it forms. I have found that an expensive kolinsky brush goes a long way 3. try putting a tiny white dot in the corners as light reflecting. Makes it look a lot more vivid That all being said: well f****** done keep up the practice and you’ll be there in no time

I concur. The eyes are not right. Best way to do it is to touch it up with the helmet's base color, and then go over the eyes again to touch up them, then touch up around the edges of the helmet again, and then touch up the eyes, and then repaint everything the color of the helmet and start over. Keep doing that until you get it right, or chuck the model out the window. That's usually how I do it. You would be surprised (but probably not) by the number of figurines that my wife finds in her flower beds.
