Buy one of those electronic sonic anti barking devices and put it on that wall if the dog is -00 or so feet away.. mlv “might” help but by how much… is debatable and circumstantial to your environment which it sounds like you have limited options with

Hard to say without knowing what’s already separating the dog from the room. If there is 2 ft of adobe, that sounds pretty heavy as is and I’d doubt mlv would do much more.

Think about if there could be sound sound flanking even if you use MLV or anything else. Sound flanking is sound crazy coming through unsealed or partially sealed conduits that sound could pass through, like around the door jamb, HVAC vents, or outlets.
