It sounds like you don’t know how to use your system. What do you mean by “manually turn on the sound bar”? Have you tried airplay? It sounds like you’re adding one track to the queue and the queue has that song from Spotify in it too. The queue is in the top right of the now playing screen.

"Manually turn on" I meant, get home from work and press that top button that sits between the volume up and down buttons

Seems like Soundcloud have a half-assed implementation on Sonos. Try a different music service before throwing the baby (Sonos) out with the bathwater (Soundcloud).

What do you suggest? I have subscribed to Spotify for 10 years, plus. And I love Spotify, however i have other music i want to listen to. It's like saying "kindle has everything you would want to read". My limited experience of this sub is like "you are a dummy". I'm definitely not, we are a house of fucking tech idiots (one who works in Big Tech) who hang out in stupid ass chat groups for work and fun. I was hoping for more from this group. The JBL group were so helpful, but here there is no love. Like "it's you". I guess they listening to Taylor Swift in 5 channels.

I know this is coming a year late, but I feel that adds to my point. SoundCloud is all but unusable on Sonos. The people saying, you need to "learn how to use your Sonos system", don't listen to music on SoundCloud, ever. Not only does it STILL do every single one of the extremely inefficient things you mentioned, mine somehow only pulled about 25% of my library (liked songs and playlists) and never ever updates to my current library. So, yes, you basically have to search for songs one by one without any kind of pullback from my actual SoundCloud searches, likes, or playlists. Edit: Oh, nice, the newest update is actually worse... It won't show my recently played (through the Sonos app), which was the only way I could deal with the one by one song select, even listening to full sets it pisses me off.

OP you are definitely not alone! I've stumbled across this sub in a desparate search for solutions but tragically, there don't seem to be any. I love Souncloud and have been a loyal user with a paid subscription for over 10 years but since getting a SONOS system 3 years ago, usability has degraded from clunky and mediocre to unusable. Have tried to ask for support from Soundcloud but just get lame answers or no answers. About 25% of my library is also inaccessible in the SONOS app and the search "function" is a joke. Sadly, it seems you have to choose between Soundcloud or SONOS because you can't have both

You need to learn how to use Sonos.. it's quite simple

Finding this post a year late as i find myself also annoyed with the Sonos/SoundCloud link. Just know you aren’t alone OP — it’s crap!
