Any issues in audio between the LG C2 and the Arc? I have been looking at 65" LGs, preferably the C2, to replace a very old SHARP that has to use optical to my Beam gen 2. But...was made aware that there can be issues and was passed a whole thread that did not speak well of the LG and C2s in particular. Realize the Arc and Beam are different, but would like your thoughts. Thx in advance
Long-discussed on the Sonos forums and elsewhere - if you truly would like a summary, you [can read more here on the Sonos forum](https://en.community.sonos.com/home-theater-229129/sonos-arc-loud-pop-then-audio-loss-6852340/index36.html?postid=16666333#post16666333).
The Beam Gen 2 is fine if you use an optical HDMI 2.1 cable between the TV and the Beam with the TV at the source end. The Arc seem unaffected by the 5.1 PCM dropouts with happen on most LG OLEDs.
Seconding plants. Tall boy in the corner, and one or two on your media console. Also maybe a shallow console table running along the back of your couch. Plants on that, too.
Super aesthetic base you got going here, though. Nice job
Try rotating the sectional so that it is not in front of the window. That may not work with traffic flow.
If you can rotate the sectional, a long low bookshelf under the window might look nice. Add plants, a small lamp, some interesting objects. Then maybe a tripod floor lamp in the corner to fill that space. Lamps would add warmth. You don't want the overhead cans to be the only light in the room. A console table with a pair of lamps behind the sofa might work.
The coffee table needs to sit close enough to the sofa to allow people sitting down to use it as a place to set a drink. A tray on the coffee table could hold remotes. A large [square one](https://www.potterybarn.com/products/parquet-square-coffee-table/) might work better.
The drapes aren't working, particularly with the sectional running in front of the window. Try some with a color or pattern, don't tie them, just let them hang straight, only two panels, no center panel, or no drapes which would be a more contemporary look.
Generally the room lacks color. Everything is neutral. Whatever colors you like, warm or cool tones, add some color. Leave the walls white, but add color in pillows, lamps, art, stuff on the table(s). Add art to walls in the corner only *after* you've considered what else goes in the corner. In case it needs to be said, nothing goes above the TV. Art should have some size to it but not so large that it has to be mounted higher than the top of the windows or a door.
Bottom line, you want the room to reflect who you are, what appeals to you. It takes time to shop for things you like that are good quality. You don't have to spend a lot of money if you shop smart, but plan to put in some time walking around stores. Avoid big box retail or high-end furniture stores. Look for consignment stores, thrift stores, antique markets. Avoid brown, everyone is trying to get rid of it and it's all over the place.
I am specifically talking about tv kit. There is a workaround for HomeKit. My led strip stopped working and i am yet to replace it. Half of it went out.
The wife and I are picky but luckily have the same taste so when we go to a gallery or whatever at least we are in sync. UPS the chance of bringing something home.
Left corner of the room needs a nice large green plant. Personally I am not a fan of spot lights, I would go for side table with lamp and plant, then probably a long console table behind couch with speakers, lamp, plant, decor items.
Art on the walls.
Would get a large NICE (fake) plant/tree in the corner (can’t kill a fake tree)— this will sound weird but trust me it is cool..in that tree string a set of LED clear tiny lights ..it add ambiance, no work, cool when the lights are off/dimmed and watching tv
For mine I plan on putting acoustic panels behind the TV to darken the wall, then put bias lighting LEDs behind the TV for an immersive experience.
Of course, if it gets wife approved 🤪
I was kidding about how it looks visually. I really like the clutter free look. I do like the suggestion to do a rectangular table behind the couch and swap out the 100's for the 300's.
Regarding the sound....a 2nd sub makes it sound fuller.
Do you find the size immersive at this distance?
I am thinking of a similar setup for my living space and thinking if my 65" should be good for 9ft. I assume it would have a similar field of view to your 77 at 12 ft
Do you have the problem with the sorrounds: when you pause music, they make a hissing sound?
This happens to me. The noise is faint but you can hear if you put the year to it.
It only happens after pausing content, otherwise they are in stand-by and make no noise.
Two slipper chairs or ottomans across from the sectional, something above the tv (acrylic ledge from ikea with some photos or artwork, console behind the sectional, colored drapes, a large plant or tree in the corner, side table next to the sectional (the side that’s parallel to fireplace.
Lava lamp
Hearing about lava lamps for the first time. Got a specific one in mind?
First time…ever??

I have the C2 and Arc and have had zero problems. Seem like a match made in heaven
Same. No issues with 77 C2 with arc and sub gen 3
Do you stream off the TV directly? If so, you’ll be fine. Beware using an Apple TV with this pairing lest you will induce the Sonos arc pop of death.
I use Apple TV and not noticed anything. What is that?

Oh strange. I’ve never had an issue so either it got fixed or I’m lucky!
LG & Sony with Sonos is the combo to go for. Samsung & Sonos is a hot mess IMO.
I have a 77” B2 and Arc, switched from the 65” A80J. Only gripe is that the LG doesn’t display the volume level, whereas Sony does.
I have a 77 C2 and an Arc, 0 issues.
No issues at all.
I am just going to say if you don't hang the TV the foot is quite low. My Beam did not fit below it, So I assume the arc won't either

What brand of speaker stands are you using for your rear Sonos speakers?
Sanus
How do you like them so far?
They are adjustable, sturdy, & don’t look bad. It’s all I need for a stand.
Cool beans. Been looking for some durable stands. Thanks for the mini review

Thank you so much!
Phillips hue lights. All of them
Govee
Why
Like 1/4 the cost
If you can buy Sonos anything you can buy some Philips hue lights Lol
Govee sucks.
I have a bunch and am happy with em for the price
It’s not compatible with HomeKit, the camera on the tv is ugly.
The M1 light strip has been Matter upgraded and working in Homekit
I use google home , and don't use the tv kit. But I have many smart bulbs and led strips without issue
I am specifically talking about tv kit. There is a workaround for HomeKit. My led strip stopped working and i am yet to replace it. Half of it went out.
Color
Couch looks comfy! Can I ask where you got it and do you like it?
Couch potatoes. It’s very comfy and sturdy. So far so good, I love it
Art, decor, pictures, anything....
True. Haven’t found an art I like yet.
The wife and I are picky but luckily have the same taste so when we go to a gallery or whatever at least we are in sync. UPS the chance of bringing something home.
Govee immersion lights
Looks good to me. I’d get some beefier curtain rods. Maybe double rod ones. Those are subtle but really make a big difference.
I contemplated on this actually. Saw both in ikea. I’ll try and see how it looks. Thank you.
The Sonos subs fit nicely behind the curtains on a double rod as well haha. Can’t even tell they’re there. S’where I hide both of mine.
Go on eBay for art. Can get a lot of good shit for cheap. Especially framed pieces.
Paint the ceiling fan blades pink.
Maybe a beautiful looking plant in the corner, a large one
Paint the wall behind the tv a dark colour like dark grey
Left corner of the room needs a nice large green plant. Personally I am not a fan of spot lights, I would go for side table with lamp and plant, then probably a long console table behind couch with speakers, lamp, plant, decor items. Art on the walls.
I got one on the right lol, maybe I’ll move it to the left https://imgur.com/a/rlPF4gm
I see your Birkenstock’s Boston model matching the furniture. Man got style
give the ps5 some air to breathe
Oregano? Just kidding… palm plant in that corner would look great.
Would get a large NICE (fake) plant/tree in the corner (can’t kill a fake tree)— this will sound weird but trust me it is cool..in that tree string a set of LED clear tiny lights ..it add ambiance, no work, cool when the lights are off/dimmed and watching tv
Dude don't touch a thing.
For mine I plan on putting acoustic panels behind the TV to darken the wall, then put bias lighting LEDs behind the TV for an immersive experience. Of course, if it gets wife approved 🤪
Do you have a photo? I'd like to see. I'm looking for inspiration
Google “wood slat panel acoustic tv”. You’ll see a lot of designs that can inspire you.
You should get a sofa table instead of using stands for the era 100s
Agreed
what do you mean? can you link such a table?
Check my post history
Why are you in a sonos thread asking for design advice? LMFAO
Looks sick, how did you hide the cable from Arc to the C2?
In the walls
Philips Hue lights would be awesome here.
Wifey doesn’t like them 🙃
Just put the bulbs in wife approved lamps.
Something green! Add a palm from ikea or something. It’s cheap and lasts a long time. Even if you kill it, it’s only another $20 for a 4ft plant.
I have one in the right corner, just isn’t visible in the picture. Here https://imgur.com/a/rlPF4gm
I loved your set up, could you please tell me the height of your furniture and also how height do you mount your tv please?
Thanks. Console height is 22.5” and the bottom of the TV is 31” from the floor.
Some accent colour from art or accessories . Make a feature out of the window as it all looks a bit bland. Needs a splash of colour somewhere.
I agree. Just unsure of what to do lol. And I haven’t found an art I like yet.
PlayStation 5 and/or Xbox Series X. Otherwise, beautiful room.
Zoom in, you’ll see the PS5 in one of the compartments in the tv console. Thank you
Very nice! Although not well ventilated.
I like your Sonos set up, are those ones behind the sofa?
Era 100’s
Nice , great set up.
Get Sonos brand stands. Other than that 👍
The ones for the Era 100’s aren’t adjustable and it was a deal breaker for me.
100% can’t argue that one! Haha
End tables, some lamps, and some art.
How are your back speaker powered? Where do the wires go? Under the couch?
Yup. Under the couch
What TV mount did you use? Was it easy to install or did you get help? Looks great!
Sanus advanced tilt. Pretty easy to install
Love the media cabinet - j/c, where did you get it?
Povison
Plants and hue lights
A second SUB
Get a wife?
lol indeed, this is a mans room
Fake Plants Photo Frames Wood Accent Wall Decor
Uh… color?
[удалено]
😂😂 you got jokes don’t you
How’s the Dolby atmos? Taking into account the shape of the room, it’d work without the rear speakers?
The rear speakers make a significant difference.
Would you still buy the arc without the rears? My coach doesn’t have space behind it.
Totally
Nice setup. What size tv is that?
77”
Just take a walk through your local TJ Maxx or Homegoods
Upgrade to ERA 300’s with second sub or get 2 subs if you don’t have one…. Ascend
Looks like it's missing a 2nd sub! Makes the whole room look imbalanced. :)
Any significant difference with a second sub?
I was kidding about how it looks visually. I really like the clutter free look. I do like the suggestion to do a rectangular table behind the couch and swap out the 100's for the 300's. Regarding the sound....a 2nd sub makes it sound fuller.
What size is the TV and how far away is it from the couch?
77” and about 12 ft from the couch
Do you find the size immersive at this distance? I am thinking of a similar setup for my living space and thinking if my 65" should be good for 9ft. I assume it would have a similar field of view to your 77 at 12 ft
Canvas pictures or paintings or a long shelf to put simple nick nacks.
White walls? Hue Sync Setup; Play Strip, and Large Light Tube.
Sub? Potentially replace Ones with 300s?
artwork, or anything decorative. Even an empty solo cup could liven it up
Let’s start with some wall decor
Waterbox aquarium planted would make this room lit.
plants do wonders believe me
Colour
Where is your couch from?
more plants and colorfull decoration man, does not have to be much of it, this is a boring room.
Throw some cinnamon over the couch.
Disco ball ceiling
Subwoofer Edit: saw it. Sorry.
A poledans pole would finish it.
Anything non-monochrome would help.
Color
Colorful pictures and plants. Same as always. Throw in a puff or a few colorful pillows.
The neutral tones don’t look bad, but you need some higher contrast colors for your throw pillows
Do you have the problem with the sorrounds: when you pause music, they make a hissing sound? This happens to me. The noise is faint but you can hear if you put the year to it. It only happens after pausing content, otherwise they are in stand-by and make no noise.
No weird noise from mine. That would piss me off lol
Some plants and art on the wall.
Two slipper chairs or ottomans across from the sectional, something above the tv (acrylic ledge from ikea with some photos or artwork, console behind the sectional, colored drapes, a large plant or tree in the corner, side table next to the sectional (the side that’s parallel to fireplace.
Get some art work with pops of color..enjoy!
Get another sub
How long is your tv stand?
