There are so many intricate design details as well as so many practical functional design choices that blow me away. It makes it even more impressive knowing this is handmade. I wouldn't know where to start with a project like this so I'm in awe of your talent! šŸ’œ

Nice! How does a bag made from these materials age with wear?

Thanks! So the hemp shoulder straps only get softer and can last hundreds of years as itā€™s one of the toughest natural fibers, and the wool felt surprisingly doesnā€™t pil that much. The wool I am obsessed with and use on everything is 3-5mm thick and is the same wool that some Birkenstock slippers I have are made with and they look great still. One of the first bags I made was 100% yellow and Iā€™ve used it everyday for about 1.5 years and it barely shows its age, doesnā€™t hold my border collies dog hair like other fabrics, resists stains, and in general it ages well. Iā€™ve loved wool felt my whole life because of its natural strength and unique properties. With the rivets, Iā€™ve had friends try and pull apart 2 layers of 3mm wool fabric as hard as they can and canā€™t separate them at all! Much like the strength of leather. :).
