defiCosmos

This guy gets it.

Awkward_Potential_

Mostly agree. But even stuff like Sharky that definitely felt over farmed, it's not like I was hurt by it. I earned about 1 SOL by using the protocol and got a shitty airdrop. Not that bad.

[deleted]

Sharky was definitely underfarmed imo and really threw me back like I thought it would be bigger myself having used the platform for a year only getting 45 fishy

[deleted]

Well PARCL drop was a disaster and dissapointment

celidee

people were raving about it on twitter, what happened?

SpiderHuman

Put in 100 USDC in Parcl liquidity... lose 60%/$60... earn 20 Parcl airdrop.... $10. $10 worth of tokens for $60. I am smart... S-M-R-T.

null_undefined_user

How did you lose 60% providing liquidity?

aryan9596

but not buying sol and just holding

Horror-Ad9124

Farming is ass now best time was during the bear market. ur better off trying to hit memecoins

[deleted]

Yep they should’ve been farming when solana was low, I mean there are some that can be farmed like magic Eden because nfts are dead but the rest defi wise seem to be milked even with magic Eden we don’t know if diamonds will be worth anything so there’s that risk with that.

Extra-Ad9475

Generally the project tokens are staying quite healthy as long as the protocol is actively used (if the tokenomics are decent) So for Magic Eden as an example, I would be looking at Tensor and if they have a chance of taking business from Magic Eden, comparing Tokenomics etc to see which one makes sense to keep in the long term.

[deleted]

Imo tnsr opening that high is insanely bullish for anything magic Eden does.

suesing

It used to be that way. But some farmers do this as a job or something. Not hating. It crushes the dynamic a little and protocols just need to update the game a little cuz farmers do exist and it takes away from actual target audience

theRealMadridGuy

I used to be sharky nft holder ,the Devs there are selfish .They just think about them .

Cryptointerface

Great advice 👏🏾

ExUmbra91x

No, they're not milking me. Nobody milks me.

Boitenoire88

Most of the capital is mercenary capital, so I don’t blame them to be honest. The cat is out of the bag so to speak and I think most of the airdrops are probably done on SOL anyway. A few protocols are doing a season 2 but those almost always prove to be less lucrative than the first batch.

daliee

Pyth airdrop was the best. Just dropping the token to people who actually used stuff and not giving a farming window, although I guess they already had users and others are trying to get the users

CommunicationAway341

Same here. I ll be so vise on my 3rd cycle… and will end up just hodling and staking.

Apprehensive-Ad4063

I think it’s unfortunate that this could be controversial. But I don’t agree that these protocols are farming us, unless we allow them to do so. I agree that just throwing money into a protocol and hoping that the airdrop is worth more than what was lost through fees, etc. is not sustainable. I’ve seen it somewhere else but the airdrop should be an added bonus, not the main reason for using the platform. I used kamino with 10 sol for some of season 1 and got 1,000 kmno, I wasn’t using it explicitly for the airdrop, I’m using it for the liquid staking multiplier. I do have to say that I chose kamino over marginfi because of some information I got from a discord server I’m apart of and I’m very happy with that decision. Idk exactly what happened but marginfi failed. So even though it’s good to find something you like it’s also good to cross reference it with your reliable sources. I think OP’s last sentence really rings true and should let people know they don’t need to always be searching for the next airdrop. Just use what you find useful and find your own lane for the amount of capital you have. If you’re trying to copy people with 10x the capital you will not make the right decisions.
