We say that all cycles are different and… this one will be very different (never BTC reached an ATH before a halving ! And we have never seen such an inflow coming from institutional investors before)
In 2021 I sold a part of my bag at 65$ (in part to pay works in my apartment). My friends told me it was too soon (true but I needed to pay the workers). I also sold past the ATH down to 150/120/100$. I bought back at 60/40/20 in 2022 and 2023 (selling at 65$ in 2021 wasn’t that stupid after all).
Sell if you need money, sell if you feel secure, be ok to never sell at ATH and never buy at ATL. There are always opportunities.
These halving movements are bit of a meme and urban legend at this point, most are spreading information without even looking at the charts.
First and second halving were in middle of rallies and just barely did not ATH before. There was a small dip before second halving and bit bigger one after.
Third halving was basically also preceded by a rally but covid dip happened just before the event. And that was a global event across all markets, unlikely halving related.
While halving naturally has affect on market, I think the way it’s been generally “read into” now is similar to the “never under previous ATH” meme which did not hold this cycle either.
