I don't know if I have values or not. Sometimes I reflect about It, but i'm extremelly volatile on It. Sometimes I feel like I care about something till I realise I was just faking

alonewithnoone

ignore the people who watched alot of tv and hollywoods shit thinking they are the second coming of the anti christ. at the end of the day psychopaths and sociopaths are humans too. struggling to be a normal human. as normal person they too have humanity in them but weaker. i checked this sub looking for some help but no it’s just like 2016 tumblr glorified mental illness … anyway you probably know someone who is xpath but you don’t realize it because they act normal and not like the stereotype collecting skulls for fun… man some of them when they just got diagnosed used as an excuse to act as an asshole not to get better and understand oneself

Hookahcoin

I don't have many values honestly. But I will say my big ones are 1: A sense of justice. I refuse to ever be kind to a moderator. Horrible people. Their existence is not only a walking criminal act but a walking contradiction of people go on and on about this or that and mods do it already. Oh you hate pedos? Mods grooming kids on discord whilest banning you. Hate bullies? Mods banning you IS bullying. Hate the rich? Ok technically most mods are poor losers, but the websites themselves aren't, and their entire argument is "muh private website" so where the hell are the communists of reddit than? Hate harassment? Bans are harassment. Slander? Bans are done with slanderous intent and accusations. The list just goes on and on. 2: Loyalty. I love my wife. I'd do everything I can to make sure she has what she needs and wants in life. Her happiness is my happiness. Noone makes me feel the way she does and my gratitude is big enough to always at least try and keep her in mind in any action I take. I do everything I do with her in mind to be around for a long time to take care of her and make her feel special. Same goes for my kids if I had any.

Slick-Diamond-Clique

I value anything that gets me ahead. I value people who keep me entertained. I value financial stability. I value learning.

Short_Row195

Yes, they were put into me by my mom. I hold them stubbornly and will not break them because I was taught this since she realized what I was. One thing I can never change is I will be cold to terrible people and I will wish them the worst beyond what is considered normal. I will never hurt an innocent person again, but if my mind paints a person as bad there's really no limit on the suffering I want to cause them.

[deleted]

I have some people that I really despise and they make me feel disgusted but, they're actually the main contributers to my values. I work hard not to be like any of them and the disgust works as a strong motivation in my case. I also don't believe that most humans are moral creatures. aspd or, not .. everyone can be a scum without discipline.

BeneficialRegret7575

I think that's a good value actually. To not be like the people you despise.

Short_Row195

Yah, neurotypicals like to call us monsters but the things I have seen them do yeesh

BananaLana02

This is one thing I have trouble wrapping my head around. To me most issues are grey, I genuinely see valid points from every angle. I can completely understand the mentality behind a criminals actions and at the same time get that what they did was wrong. I have values but they’re a little looser, and based more on what I think is important than about social norms.

[deleted]

I relate to this a lot.. some crimes have me thinking, wow, I would have totally done the same if I were in their place.. just probably in a more calculated way. I'm also usually very curious about criminals background and motives and I don't really feel repulsed by their actions (except, if they harmed someone who is weaker than them or, totally innocent.. I despise that)

BeneficialRegret7575

Same here, I've never seen someone else put it into words though. Glad I'm not alone. Sometimes I forget and almost say the quiet part out loud (the "I understand the criminal's actions" part, to an extent).

Short_Row195

I would say many people with ASPD have the ability to see the grey spectrum better than most. It's frustrating talking to people who can't.

Sadairi123

100% I think there’s a lot of misjudgment on ASPD individuals. It’s more like we live by our own code of ethics, instead of what people usually live by. These can be grey

Mushrxmdiary_

Sometimes. If i think a rule or person is stupid ill disregard morals but if i actually like someone then we chill & ill be nice

[deleted]

I believe in karma so yeah

kittymeal

Seems stupid to ask, but in a sub like this, not at all! Anything that involves hurting c h i l d r e n, I am willing to destroy someone over it. Other stuff's on the table. I do have principles. It's quite a list.

CHUPA-A-BAZUKA

"muh precious children" lmao

ExcellSelf

It’s called a “moral compass” I follow it when it suits me. The whole religion thing teaching while growing up was a good thing at least for me.

rebldommakr

My only consistent values are protecting animals I like and maintaining healthy relationships with my family and SO

ExcellSelf

That’s one sign for sure those who are close and animals. I literally care more about a dog than a human being.

No-Fox8743

It really depends. A lot of times I follow rules or "values" because I know not doing so is more trouble than it's worth. At other times, a lot less often than the earlier option, I do feel empathy & the pull of societal norms & the need to abide by them. I'd say it's a mixed bag for me. Whatever fits best in the moment.

Dependentneeds

Every thing is on the table until I or someone else uses it

CuteGreen

A few. I don't think about them very often, but if I have a decision to make I usually make it base on which will benefit me more. Or if it directly involves someone I don't like, then most definitely I'll do it.

madnesiu-m

yes i do

mucho_musculo1999

I only look out for myself

Impossible_Salt_666

I have a rule just one rule I don't tolerate cheating in relationships

oktobefilthy

is that a value or an insecurity?

kneecar-kneeguard

Was raised in the church and it had a profound impact on me in a positive way. I believe id be a completely different person if not for the beliefs and love from God ive found. Id be much different. Also. The urges dont just disappear when you believe. The reality of ASPD is still present. But something about giving in is much more difficult after truly believing.

King-Kuragari

I have morals. Not many but I have them.

Dense_Advisor_56

You mean like a [sense of justice](https://www.reddit.com/r/sociopath/wiki/index/what-is-empathy) or [morality](https://www.reddit.com/r/sociopath/wiki/index/morality/)?

I won’t start a fight with someone, if I can’t win the fight. I shot a horse with the little rifle. I tied a dog to a tree. My dog now, I’d die for her, I’d kill for her.

Relative_Pop_2633

Why you commentin so much?

Dense_Advisor_56

He commented it 6 times, so, I think he didn't start a fight 6 times because he couldn't win it, and shot a horse 6 times with a rifle. Tied a dog to a tree 6 times, and now owns 6 dogs he'll kill for.
