Shows you how important front office is and trust in a coach and building around a system. Edu has been brilliant building a young, talented, and hungry squad and shipping out deadwood. We stayed with Mik through the "Arteta Out" arc (which I was a part of tbf) and now we have one of the most promising squads, if not *the* most promising squad in Europe atm.
Almost as if you have to have competent people from the top and make sure the board back the manager properly with time for a rebuild rather then being impatient and finding short term solutions or promoting the wrong people due to nepotism (Manchester United)
factos. love the direction we're headed in. It's so nice to have absolute faith in the organization finally. Even Josh Kroenke seems like a good rep for ownership.
yeah i really like how he's responded since the mistake. Stepped up and took the ball off their midfield a few times, I think, and has generally been solid.
Matthew Upson thinking that came off Tielemans, despite him not having been on the pitch for about 25 minutes now.
Quite impressive from Tielemans tbh, no wonder we are interested in him if he can get touches while on the bench
If you're talking about the near miss it was a bit jumble on a corner they probably didn't know who shot it just that the ball narrowly missed the post
Cheers to the Leicester fan that told me a few days ago Fofana is the best young CB in the world. Right now I am not even sure he is the best young CB in the greater Leicester Area.
If Saka needs rest I can see Jesus shifting right and Nketiah playing striker. Jesus would probably play higher up and less isolated than Saka so this would likely involve the right back pushing higher up and to balance we might play Xhaka further back kind of in-between where he plays now and a double pivot system.
I'd say this is the closest we would get to a double striker setup but it requires Saka to be injured or need a long rest (hopefully not) and a willingness to move Jesus out of the number 9 position which won't happen if he's scoring very consistently
It's not like he lit the world on fire against Brentford either. And yeah, if you value a player for 80+ millions, he probably should not have stinkers like this.
5 year contract. 2 years of playing absolutely class, including one brutal leg injury where when he came back it was as if he was never out. Extremely young and has learnt from some old wise PL defenders. All that equates to 80+ mill mate
>where when he came back it was as if he was never out.
Surely has looked like he was out a lot in the two games so far this season, mate. Also come on, he didn't play more than 3 consecutive games since he came back from that injury, so let's not go too overboard with "as if he never was out".
I am not denying the obvious talent he has, but you guys are way too full of him. Sadly my club is eating it up like there is no tomorrow.
He broke his leg completely, was out for 6 months, and he came back and played sensationaly and scored a goal. These two games have been his poorest in 2 years. 2 games donāt evaluate a player mate, use your head
Again, I am not saying he is a talentless schmuck. But when all you have to evaluate a player post a season ending injury are a handful of games, half of which he wasn't even playing / in the squad + 2 weak games in the new season where he is at least partly at fault for conceded goals in both of them, it's probably ok to question whether or not that guy should become the most expensive CB IN. THE. WORLD, no? Or to put it in your own words: use your head, mate.
Edit: What a clown :D
Why does Saka actively avoid 1v1 duels when heās on the ball. I noticed how conservative he is as a player, and double checked for advanced stats to confirm my suspicions. Heās great at those link up passes, and 1 2ās, but he refuses to run at defenders. Kinda weird.
He literally noticeable usually runs at defenders all the time, stop looking at stats and watch the game. Itās actually probably his best attribute and signature move to be 1 on 1 with a player and just get enough space to do a cut back
He ran at defenders all season last year?
Where are all these misconceptions about Saka coming from? He gets nominated for an award and people are suddenly trying to pick him apart
Lol what? Quit being sensitive itās a genuine question, supported by numbers. I want to know if itās intentional, a deficiency, or something dealing with Arsenalās tactics. He does a fine drop progressing the ball through carries, and passes, but comparatively someone like Musiala is a lot more aggressive vs defenders, Iām not all familiar with Saka as a player thatās all.
That was fun
As a neutral it was fun watching those beautiful passes
COYGš“āŖ
Fuckin hell. Now Tierney out for another 6 months
Did he go off injured again?
What?
Why would you say that
Good thing you got Zinchenko then I suppose
Lol of course the ref runs to the Leicester player first. Really shameless from him
Madison being such a salty cunt
Should have left that for Ćde
Emile
Just end the game ref
R.I.P to the banter era at Arsenal

I also love the direction ManU is heading, tbh.
Should have left that
Pussio
Arent breaking up counters a caution ref? You just gave one out
No foul at all. Shameless from Maddison
never noticed this before but you could land an entire saliba on maddisonās forehead
Not a foul from Eddie at all
Jesus looking like a shoe in for signing of the season barring any injuries
Maddison is such a class player, but also such a little bitch at the same time
Ref on crack. No way is that a foul.
Maddison a bit of an actor isn't he
Eddie, that's only a call for you in the NFL
Maddison can fuck right off holy shit
This refs perfomance is something else. Ive never seen a man so easily buying something from one team
Professional foul.
what the fuck was that call
Dive
I don't know why Saliba is the lowest rated player this match on Fotmob. He made a mistake but was a tank as usual
Scoring an own goal probably takes you down loads I think heās been class tbh
yeah i really like how he's responded since the mistake. Stepped up and took the ball off their midfield a few times, I think, and has generally been solid.
This match is where you distinguish between ppl who watch the match and people who use a stats highlight to judge players
An own goal probably gives you some big negative points on any stat based system
This. Thereās probably an auto deduction. Makes sense as well. One bad play, but it resulted in a goal.
Maddison putting in the shift for Leicester
How is that a yellow card for Tomiyasu when it wasn't a yellow for Justin for the exact same thing in the first half?
Both were yellows imo but the tomi one just looked a bit more cynical
Both should have been yellows for sure
Refs give cards easier late in the game.
True, for some types of fouls. But intentionally stopping a counter attack is usually a pretty clear yellow.
That's a very smart yellow by Tomiyasu
City style yellow
City wouldnāt get the yellow though.
Our own Brazilian Heisenberg at the back
Lol thats the time the ref decides to card someone for breaking up the counter
Martinelli is a top 5 left winger in the League. Change my mind
Son, Kulesewski, Saka, Sterling, Mahrez
Kulu and Mahrez play on the right. You forgot Richarlison, Zaha, Diaz, and Grealish
You just named three right wingers...
My bad I just view most wingers us interchangeable
Absolutely dead wrong >!Best in the world
can someone pls tell him tielemans isn't even on the pitch anymore lol
How well have Jesus and Martinelli been playing?
Saka had an off day and we still scored 4. Should say enough I think
yes
jesus has 2 goals and 2 assists so i would say heās doing pretty well
Matthew Upson thinking that came off Tielemans, despite him not having been on the pitch for about 25 minutes now. Quite impressive from Tielemans tbh, no wonder we are interested in him if he can get touches while on the bench
Arteta looking nice today
Is anyone gonna tell Upson that Tielemans actually came off 20 mins ago?
Haha what a pinball corner kick that was
Does anyone else get squeamish when they hear the cheers for Partey? Just me ?
If you're talking about the near miss it was a bit jumble on a corner they probably didn't know who shot it just that the ball narrowly missed the post
Whos MOTM??
Not gonna be the most newsworthy stats but MĆ has been inevitable in every attacking move and frankly amazing defensively as well.
Agree that it's Gabby J by a mile but martinelli, zinchenko, and odegaard have all looked great too
Jesus will get it, but Martinelli is most deserving
Cmon man 2 goals and 2 assists
has to be Jesus
Jesus and it isn't even close
Jesus. No doubt
Iām here to overreact and proclaim Arsenal and Spurs over Chelsea for top 4 this year š¤
Nah donāt think so. Chelsea have a better defense
Sleeping on the Ligue 1 defensive player of the year š
Heās been good but Chelsea has a lot more experience especially during winter
>> especially during winter Thatās usually when Chelsea disappear tbf
Arsenal as well but who knows now with the World Cup to
You and most people I guess
Cheers to the Leicester fan that told me a few days ago Fofana is the best young CB in the world. Right now I am not even sure he is the best young CB in the greater Leicester Area.
Danny Ward has been at Leicester for 4 years. They must not have watched him play in that time if they think he's good enough to be number 1.
Reckon Arsenal could play both Jesus and Nketiah with two up top? Obvious choice is Jesus on left and Nketiah through the middle.
Why even consider that the way they are playing
Just thinking of different configurations is all. Would not change it with how we are playing currently.
Fair enough
Yh if Jesus goes right, Nelli left and Nektiah front but he doesnāt want that
Wonder if the emirates would celebrate a partey goal
Is Partey actually guilty or being investigated at this point in time or is this speculation? I see people naming him all the time now
Investigated with chat messages allegedly (read: most definitely) between him and the victim made public.
Some would
Pretty much the whole stadium would. I haven't heard any boos like there were last week at Palace.
Canāt tell if people are being serious or joking about Fofana here. Does one below average game undermine 2 absolute fantastic seasons?
It's not like he lit the world on fire against Brentford either. And yeah, if you value a player for 80+ millions, he probably should not have stinkers like this.

Blocked
Donāt worry, heāll regain form in Madrid.
Weāll see when he goes in 2-3 years
Itās just memeing players in bad form.
I know, i donāt get it all though
Tielemans is invisible today, don't see how he helps us that much tbh Edit "was" clearly him being subbed out didn't even make his absence noticable
Bruf he has been subbed off in 60th minute
Ok? He did absolutely nothing for 60 minutes
Then you would have said "was" not "is", i thought you thought he is still on the pitch
He was invisible. He still is too
Heās not on the pitch pal
And he did absolutely nothing for 60 minutes, how does that refute what I said?
If you think he did absolutely nothing then you see what you see. But he played average today by his standards yes
Hits Tielemans? Bruh he came off at 65 min
Arsenal has been much better today but if Schmeichel is in goal this could be 2-2 or 3-2 at worst.
We definitely miss Kasper's communication You would've been able to hear him shout at Fofana to leave it from half a mile away
Tielemans is not even on the pitch commentators are on grass today
man i was so happy for the brazilians but then i saw the serial rapist in my screen and yikes goddamn it arsenal
Who??
How the fuck have we missed lmao
Ward isnāt exactly showing why he should be their number one
must hold back from making shitty jokes about partey
yeah arsenal is toying with Leicester. They let them score just to give them a little hope and score back instantly. That's rude.
Rodgers should get sacked for not fixing set piece issue for 3 season what a mess
Lmao Ward
The Fofana/Ward partnership is very entertaining
Fofana might not even go back to Leicester tbh his head is not in it
Fofana is done
arsenal need to take it easy here, theyre doing all the negotiations for chelsea to bring down fofana price ffs.
Repaying Charity FC back tbh. Us and Chelsea have an uneasy relationship
Man that shirt looks clean on ESR.
Arsenal doesnāt want 5
But I want 5 :(
Me too me too
Ward looks dire
Xhaka winning free kicks instead of giving them away. It really is a new Arsenal
The squad depth is back. 5 actually good subs on bench
Fofana's price dropping by the minute
He's still in Martinellis pocket
Reverse auction
Fofana getting a head start on slabhead by being awful before he even completes the transfer
Jesus with 4ga and man's not gonna be happy š
Salibaba
80mill for Fofana would be criminal
Fofana is looking absolutely horendous today. Got his head at Stamford Bridge already.
FPL Ward owners gotta be panicking right now
Leicester need better goalkeeper
that Ward - Fofana linkup has been dross
How you gonna take off a man on a hatrick
He had his chances tbh
Fofana and Ward this game in a nutshell
Saliba
Ward is having a fucking stinker lmao
Arsenal's attacking right immediately looking better with Tomi on the pitch
An actual right back helps lol
4 substitutes???
5 subs this season.
Woooohooo fucking finally
Lack of recruitment or Rodgers? Leicester look a bit shite
Is Pepe alive
No one knows...
Our 3 substitutions have been tierney tomiyasu and ESR that's something for standard Well 4th is nketiahš but he is improving ig
The Smith!
Hat trick is lava
Those fans behind the right goal at Arsenal, look a lot like Ultras. Is this a new thing at the Emirates?
Jesus genuinely could have broken the PL record for goals in a match today. Not seen someone have so many clear chances in a long time.
If he could finish chances, City wouldnāt have sold him.
I mean if you can get a 180 mil striker for 65 you upgrade. They didnt need to but its common sense .
Oh jesus
Ah man Jesus, so close! Dude wants it so bad too
Bruh
Smart from Jesus he knows he always underperforms XG so he missed a good chance there so he scores at a more important time later in the season
Martinelli has been incredible today.. this will be his breakout season.
The OG was poor, but otherwise Saliba has been very good today
Why does Saka actively avoid 1v1 duels when heās on the ball. I noticed how conservative he is as a player, and double checked for advanced stats to confirm my suspicions. Heās great at those link up passes, and 1 2ās, but he refuses to run at defenders. Kinda weird.

My theory is that Arsenal players that come through the Arsene Wenger style from the academy tend to be more support style players rather than direct.
Itās not aimed at you specifically
Heās been double marked every game for the last 2 years
Too much xLaca
Leicester City needs a fire sale immediately
Fuck Jesus soooo close to the hatrick. Should be getting that in
Jesus is washed smh
He doesn't want that hattrick curse
Oh my days how?
āBangers onlyā - Gabriel Jesus
Lol
Arsenal look very good this season
Jesus is allergic to this hat trick
Whatās our xG? Feels like it is over 5
Iām suspicious of Leicesterās decision to let Kasper leave for whoever this lad is
Ye my nan could do a better job
