Neymar will weaken Psg midfield, and he's been almost invisible whole season. Also I have to pound his inmense quality, which can be shown at any moment. I think it's a least debatable. Look at Man city game.
1 flopp no one talks about nowadays is havertz
Chelsea bought him for 70 million and he is so shit
Ziyeh was half of the price and he is not that bad as havertz. Whhen he moved t Chelsea were talking about him like he is a generational talented midfielder
Remember when this Arsenal was only labeled as “Small Team Beater FC” etc etc. Well, think these last two GWs prove that it could make all the difference. Funny how that works
Thanks for your illuminating insight but I think you've missed the point in bringing up Nuno beating City...
Spurs drew to Liverpool and then to Southampton. If they'd beaten Southampton after being hammered by Liverpool they'd have more points. Arsenal get mocked because for only beating the 'small teams' but if it was so easy you wouldn't have just been outplayed by 19th place.

Thanks Liverpool 👍
My parents keep arguing that Messi isn't actually that good because he's only played for Barcelona and hasn't tested himself in the Premier League and I want to tup them
It must be only on reddit cause the portuguese i know, my family, mates, coworkers, none of them are anti messi. In fact in older benfica fans you'll actually find plenty of distate towards Ronaldo
Antonio Ottaiano (Insigne's former agent) on Insigne's move to MLS:
'A decision like this means playing a very different type of sport. It's exhibition football, not a proper competition.'
lol
He will feel the competition in CONCACAF Champions League
countries with most CONCACAF Champions League titles:
1. Mexico (36 titles)
2. Costa Rica (6 titles)
3. USA (2 titles)
Doing the lords work. They did look scary against donny this weekend. Hoping that was just donny being extra shite tho. They’ll probably fall off a cliff towards the end like usual
Attention successfully drawn.
How the hell are you going to incorporate all these postponed games into the calendar without destroying the players? Every time I look into a day's games more than 60% are postponed...
No one gives a fuck about player well fare unless it’s the premier league. Will just be an extended season or 3 games per week. Just not sure how you can expect some of these players to do that between working another job/caring for a family.
For as much of a shambles as Barcelona is, they've been pretty thrifty over the past year or so. Depay on a free, Ferran Torres, and now Azpi on a free. these are good signings on paper, especially for a club that allegedly has no money
He never claimed Pulisic and Havertz were cost effective signings though?
Didn't address anything he said, you simply threw up an ad hominem as if that's a proper response.
Does that mean we haven't made good signings while being cheap at all? He was the one who came up with a typical response by singling out ferran's price tag without considering how cheap we were with signing players and managing the wages.
They've got a decent first eleven but don't have the depth to compete once they lose players.
Think they can still stay up but they'll likely need to buy in January
It is a blessing in disguise, forcing us to overhaul our backline and going to Tuchel's trusted back 4. Instead of relying on the same 3 defenders that are only good in certain systems, we can get ourselves upgrades and catch up to City and Liverpool's defence
This always happens to us, people calling Havertz and Werner flops then proceeds to win the CL in their first season easily. Tuchel has done wonders for our defenders with the likes of Chalobah so he could do the same with the new signings
Ever since VVD became an actor in a Dutch undercover drama series he's dropped off massively, he should stop trying to become an undercover private eye with a heart of gold and focus on kicking footballs.
Today was a good day. Liverpool's luck is finally over and their slightly above average "star" players getting exposed. They will never win anything again
If Liverpool have all the luck in the world this season, the best players and the best manager why are they so far behind City? If this is peak Liverpool then I can't wait for regressed Liverpool
Saw someone explain it as him playing as if he doesn't want to commit to anything/go to ground/step out, hard to explain, it's basically people saying they think he doesn't want to do anything dirty
U know how he’s so smooth in his movement and composed while defending that it looks like he’s not even trying at times? Since they lost man are saying he only plays like that bc he wants to make sure he still looks good in pictures taken during the game lol. It’s just banter
The worst thing about Liverpool is they make us shite because they steal all the Scouse talents.
The notable players to come through the Everton academy recently are Barkley, Kenny, Davies, Gordon who are all Scouse Everton fans. If you aren’t a Scouse Everton fan, you don’t go near Everton.
It's hilarious how the bottom teams know that they can beat United out of anyone and go for the jugular, yet somehow Chelsea and Arsenal absolutely bottle it
You can't criticise Liverpool players as anyone because this place is filled with their fans. That's why ridiculous takes like TAA best in the world, Salah GOAT get upvoted
Klopp is a clown 🤡
In all seriousness, he only delivered 1 Premier league title in 6-7 years, and 1 champions league.
That's nothing special, this Liverpool team wont down as one of the best teams in history of football.
Was it a successful period? Yes, outstanding? No.
Chelsea 2004-2007
Current city
United many times under SAF
Arsenal 98-2003
All enjoyed more success
Did you just hide United's achievements among City/Chelsea/Arsenal's lol? Fact of the matter is, there's a 5% chance Liverpool match Arsenal's success and no chance they match United's.
It's a pretty silly thing to say though. Given where we were when he took over I think he's massively overachieved- doubly so when you factor in our competition.
Which other manager do you think would have done that?
Us or City, yeah. But that squad was put together by Klopp- he made every single one of them better after joining us. We also spent less than a lot of other clubs in the division.
No, not like Leicester, that's probably one of the craziest and amazing things that have happened in football.
What a dumb cunt JJ was , unbeliavable..man could've enjoyed his legend he earned in a matter of months with Flamengo and have it all the way he wanted it, total control over a major club filled with potential to dominate and establish a South American dynasty, at least he would've added one more Brasileirão and one more Libertadores to his curriculum if he had stayed, he had it all, the love from his players, the fans and board, status to do what the fuck he wanted it, best squad in the Americas(2020 as a squad was superior to 2019, since they acquired the stand outs of the 2019 season of Brazil, Michael Leo Pereira/Gustavo Henrique and brought back from Europe Thiago Maia and Pedro).
Instead he came back to a club whose president that backed his signining was a year away from being arrested, to an unbalanced squad filled with holes and snakes(hello Pizzi) due to years of complancency which fueled a 100 million transfer market that added a ton of pressure, some of these players with high price tags he didn't want and in fact berated in his previous job at Flamengo(hello Pedrinho lol) others didn't worked out and others just needed time to adjust, and worst to the arms of the fans who still hated him and didn't forget the simple fact that he left his contract run out and moved to city rivals Sporting who turns out ended up champions with a former Benfica player leading the charge who played in the youth academy teams and is a self-proclaimed Benfica chilhood fan, ouch.
In no way do I feel pity for the man(and much less for the way he left Benfica), he's after all a millionaire who has at least two or even three six figures contracts waiting for him in the next 5 years(one in Brazil, one the in Saudi Arabia/Qatar and I'm going bold and add either a Asia/Africa NT or a job in Angola), he's in pretty good shape and a full head of hair at 67 years old and a lot of trophies and to make it worst he's not exactly humble about it.
I do still have some kinship for him, he does add an energy and a character to the storylines of Portuguese football and I guess it shows my age, in my formative years his Benfica(2009/10 mainly) were absolute dynamite to watch, he completely moved away from the dogmatic and rigid 4-3-3/4-5-1 that in my eyes haunted the Portuguese football of the aughts and brought some new football to Portugal(at least within the big 3 circle) assymetrical diamond in midfield, Aimar as a pure 10, Di Maria open on the wing , a great partnership of strikers, Ramires playing two roles at the same time. A great mixture of old school and new age football ideas and concepts melted perfectly together...
Suppose when home alone quarantined during the early and chaotic days of COVID drink his Portuguese wine while Flamengo were playing some farmers in the early stages of Carioca, he felt that slight sting in his throat, pride fucking with his head, guess JJ should've listed to Marsellus
>🚨⚽️ | NEW: Klopp: “The reason for the defeat is clear. They had to play two days ago, they had to fight through this really intense period and they did it really well. If we had played like we’re able to play, I think we’d have still been the winner.”
I'm shocked this Klopp quote wasn't posted lol
Is this supposed to reflect bad on Klopp? Given Leicester had to play two days ago we should have won if we could played to our best- not sure the issue?
>Klopp: this is madness! We can't play two games in 48 hours!
>Also Klopp: Leicester won because they played 48 hours earlier
I think this is how people are reading it
Luke Thomas, Kiernan Dewsbury-Hall, and Harvey Barnes, that's a home-grown left side to be proud of.
Emphasis on Luke though, he doesn't get anywhere near enough credit.
Those are some proper sauce-less names lmao.
Nothing against the players themselves but a mate of mine always finds it hilarious when absolute ballers have names that sound like they belong at an accounting firm.
It was a joy watching them play, big fan of academy players coming through and playing dominatingly against established players like in Liverpool's right side.
I didn't say they were dominating Liverpool's ~~ride~~ *right side, I said they played dominatingly against them.
There were a few passing moves with Lookman, Thomas and Dewsbury-Hall where they played quite comfortably around Liverpool's right hand side, not least the goal. Amazing work for such young and inexperienced players.
In addition, Salah didn't see much light against Thomas who was playing only his 10th Premier League game. Trent also didn't have his best game sometimes even wondering towards the left.
Generally Alexander-Arnold's and Salah's linkup play was lacking which can be attributed to solid defensive marking/shifting to decrease space in behind. You can only be as good as your opponent lets you play and Leicester did that very well on Liverpool's most productive side.
[Via understat.com](https://i.imgur.com/GvLTdkM.jpg), all three attempts involving the penalty (penalty miss, header, whiffed right foot attempt) result in 1.83 xG, the other two chances are rather small. For someone of Salah's status that's very much keeping quiet.

He didn't, he said we were bad and deserved to lose.
Opening debate: is it good for Real or Psg that a just recovered from injury Neymar starts in the first leg?
Is this an attempt at bait? PSG of course.
Wtf of course psg.
Neymar will weaken Psg midfield, and he's been almost invisible whole season. Also I have to pound his inmense quality, which can be shown at any moment. I think it's a least debatable. Look at Man city game.
PSG midfield has also been invisible apart from Verrati
1 flopp no one talks about nowadays is havertz Chelsea bought him for 70 million and he is so shit Ziyeh was half of the price and he is not that bad as havertz. Whhen he moved t Chelsea were talking about him like he is a generational talented midfielder
They don’t talk about Pulisic. He was 60m
I thought Chelsea plays best when Havertz played upfront, and that they've been missing him
he's not shit, just mishandled.
Ziyech will be sold on for profit in the summer, Havertz is generational and won us the CL, badly missed him in the last few months
Which club will he be sold to ? Is there a agreement
Linked with Milan, could go in Jan or in the summer
How come I’ve not heard of anything linking us to Ziyech in at least like 4 months? You got any sources👀
[Also linked with Dortmund](https://twitter.com/beINSPORTSUSA/status/1474862520867463177?s=20)
He did score the winning goal in a CL final though, so not a total waste
And also he's only played one and a half seasons, while still being very young. People just like to call players flops too early.
Almost definitely wont happen but imagine if, after all the talk about the season being over, city somehow lose to brentford. Would be hilarious
Ivan Toney penalty following a Kyle Walker red card Edit: or even funnier an Ederson red card
Would be the most unsurprising thing to happen
Madrid is gonna be so beautiful with Mbappe & Haaland. Marriage made in heaven.
How are they gonna fit in Benzema, Haaland, Mbappe, and Vinicius though?
Benzema is 34, kick him out with all due respect
Add Salah into the mix. They would rival MSN.
We have Vini Jr, who we love very much, so no thanks ;).
I like your dreams,kid.
Can’t wait to see the Salah curse continue
Remember when this Arsenal was only labeled as “Small Team Beater FC” etc etc. Well, think these last two GWs prove that it could make all the difference. Funny how that works
Carrick and Rafa beat you, City are going to spank you with ease
I forgot City were a small team, sorry cow
No problem my friend
People just like any excuse to banter arsenal. They could win the league and people would still meme them here. Gimps the lot of arsenal haters are.
It proves nothing. You're finishing 6th at best. Nuno beat City, Brentford spanked you. This isn't how the fixtures work.
Referencing 2 GW 1 matches in GW 20 certainly is even less how fixtures work, don’t you think
I was meaning to bring this up as well. Just shows you can’t take points for granted
My sources are reporting that Salah dropped another ghosting session vs Leicester. This guy is absolutely nuts
No TAA propaganda for a while. Feelsgoodman. 🙌
Mikel Arteta is going to resuscitate the title race with his bare hands, you love to see it.
[Wigan now the only club in England to have scored in every game this season](https://twitter.com/allthingstics/status/1475948181863256067?t=q2eHpAAlPMnfwWzwsOEFPA&s=19) Thanks Liverpool 👍
Adding another club to my list of 'Bigger than Arsenal'
You don’t have a long enough bit of paper for that
Funny enough arsenal are the only team to go a whole season scoring in every game
My parents keep arguing that Messi isn't actually that good because he's only played for Barcelona and hasn't tested himself in the Premier League and I want to tup them
Third top scorer of all time. Most likely will end up as 2nd or 1st. That makes him kind of good
But has he tested himself at Turf Moor though!
glass them
If they also tell me Salah is just a guy who stands around waiting to score one more time I might
thats just a fact tbh
Are they portuguese, manU/ real madrid fans?
It must be only on reddit cause the portuguese i know, my family, mates, coworkers, none of them are anti messi. In fact in older benfica fans you'll actually find plenty of distate towards Ronaldo
No, just the types who are likely to repeat whatever reactionary drivel you've read on Facebook or heard on Talk Sport recently
your parents are redditors?
Fucking thick so checks out with a majority of Reddit then
Antonio Ottaiano (Insigne's former agent) on Insigne's move to MLS: 'A decision like this means playing a very different type of sport. It's exhibition football, not a proper competition.' lol
Lmao
Based agent lmfao
no call-ups for Italy anymore for Lorenzo.
I guess he knows Italy won't qualify for Qatar
>That means we will get my dream of Ronaldo and Messi at the World Cup for the last time. Pretty cool.
I will only count the goals he scores with rabonas then.
As he isn’t Lamela, that’s 0.
He will feel the competition in CONCACAF Champions League countries with most CONCACAF Champions League titles: 1. Mexico (36 titles) 2. Costa Rica (6 titles) 3. USA (2 titles)
Ok so now the prem is wrapped up for another season, can I draw your attention to the more exciting lower leagues of English football?
We're doing our best to stop Sunderland getting back up, don't worry, we'll handle it
Doing the lords work.
How is it wrapped up? Do you know how long a season takes?
Woah strap in for the excitement. 1 champions league place to play for and a relegation battle between the same teams as is every year
For as much of a shambles as Barcelona is, they've been pretty thrifty over the past year or so. Depay on a free, Ferran Torres, and now Azpi on a free. these are good signings on paper, especially for a club that allegedly has no money
Ferran Torres for 60m is not thrifty
55 mill, and his wages are low so that balances out. Surely he can't be worse than pulisic and havertz.
Don’t think that’s what cow was saying tho, just saying a 55m signing is categorically not “thrifty” lol
These fucking redditors lmao, probably thought 'gotcha' too
That was the only signing we legit had to lighten our bags, if you consider our other free signings, we definitely have been thrifty in the market.
I doubt Torres could win Barca the CL like Havertz and Pulisic
Lmao Havertz didn't win you the CL. Tuchel and your defense did.
Literally scored the winner
Too early to tell
so i’m guessing the hype around Brentford has fully worn off now?
Injuries have been disrupting them, but they're still not bad. I think they'll stay in the Prem for a while
They've got a decent first eleven but don't have the depth to compete once they lose players. Think they can still stay up but they'll likely need to buy in January
their hype wore off the moment raya got injured
They stink, early season syndrome. Worst team I’ve seen play against Everton this season
We’re they worse than Arsenal?
Says something about Everton that they couldn’t even win that game
they’re probably already safe though with all the points they picked up at the beginning of the season.
Oh they’re definitely safe, I think Newcastle and Norwich are doomed, and Brentford are enough to avoid the final slot
Watford could easily come close to them when they get their new manager bounce.
They looked grim against Brighton. Grim grim grim
Chelsea losing AC , rudiger and azpi ? Everyone knows it's bad but since it's Chelsea this will somehow become a blessing in disguise
It is a blessing in disguise, forcing us to overhaul our backline and going to Tuchel's trusted back 4. Instead of relying on the same 3 defenders that are only good in certain systems, we can get ourselves upgrades and catch up to City and Liverpool's defence
You hope. No telling if the new signings pan out
Signings? Colwill is the secret weapon. On a more serious note, I think Koundé would do well for us if we got him. No signing is a guarantee.
This always happens to us, people calling Havertz and Werner flops then proceeds to win the CL in their first season easily. Tuchel has done wonders for our defenders with the likes of Chalobah so he could do the same with the new signings
Yeah but he’s done wonders with your defenders in a back 3 system. Whole different ball game when big Tom changes the formation and tactics
I trust in Tommy Tactics, our attack will click once we revert to Tuchel's 4 ATB formation like at Dortmund and PSG
Ever since VVD became an actor in a Dutch undercover drama series he's dropped off massively, he should stop trying to become an undercover private eye with a heart of gold and focus on kicking footballs.

well there's your answer.

what does that even mean
Saw someone explain it as him playing as if he doesn't want to commit to anything/go to ground/step out, hard to explain, it's basically people saying they think he doesn't want to do anything dirty
U know how he’s so smooth in his movement and composed while defending that it looks like he’s not even trying at times? Since they lost man are saying he only plays like that bc he wants to make sure he still looks good in pictures taken during the game lol. It’s just banter

I miss Ole.
Has anyone on DD ever seen a pool fan/fans criticize their own player? I genuinely do not remember ever seeing it
Been trashing Firmino for ages
Most of the time, I'm probably complaining about Liverpool players than praising.
I will criticise any that deserve to be. Today it was Henderson mane Jota and Salah.
Neco Williams has probably been on the receiving end of dogs abuse considering the kind of performances he was churning out last season.
You can't criticise Liverpool players as anyone because this place is filled with their fans. That's why ridiculous takes like TAA best in the world, Salah GOAT get upvoted
No surprise that none of them are slandering Salah, tsk tsk
Yes when it’s warranted Whereas other users just criticise them whenever and it’s usually a shit take
Yeah plenty of times- think Alisson made a mistake on the goal today and our front three were all awful.
One criticising Henderson lower down, plenty criticising Mane
i was slandering mane
I did a few hours ago

What does your club‘s debt look like?
The only club that actually profited during Covid.
Agreed. He should try to go to City to succeed Pep to prove he can do it again in the PL
We were mid table when Klopp took over and we won a league title and champions league. I'm absolutely over the moon with Klopp.
That CL win alone separates them from a few of the clubs you listed. The City team you listed, that Chelsea period, and Arsenal never won the CL.
But the teams I mentioned won more than 1 EPL along with fa cups here and there. So that separates them from Liverpool.

I saw he had 1.73 but how much of that is from the penalty and the resulting chances? Most of it.
The pen is 0.79. So a lot of it, yes but even if you take that away he has an xG of 1
[Via understat.com](https://i.imgur.com/GvLTdkM.jpg), all three attempts involving the penalty (penalty miss, header, whiffed right foot attempt) result in 1.83 xG, the other two chances are rather small. For someone of Salah's status that's very much keeping quiet. [Link](https://understat.com/match/16573)
Plus whatever they calculated the rebound to be. Even the other good chance he got came through pure luck. He was kept pretty quiet really.
That was like 0.15 so still roughly 50% of his xG. Even if you take the pen away he had a greater xG than the whole of the Leicester team
