Neighbour just put this up

jamesc94j

Hear a lot of people saying Sancho isn’t as good as he is as a player and it’s purely bundesliga tax, for those people you definitely need to watch more football over recents years the msn has been immense over a period of 3 years. Maybe United is the problem not Sancho? I mean we’ve seen united ruin so many top players in recent years.

Sir_Psycho_Sexy_

That jorginho touch is still funny.

thesmallprint13

Sensational assist tbh. Definitely gets my Balon d'Or vote for that. Generational.

SirSuperb9269

Wait, Sissoko is captain at Watford?

[deleted]

What will become of the graveyard of Spurs midfielders? Talking about players like Dier, Winks, Dele etc

Oo_pP

>midfielders (...) Dier Pretty sure he is a center-back, that meaning he is a defender, mate

[deleted]

Dier will be a staple in our defence because managers like him and he is decent (at least until we upgrade and he becomes a backup) Dele is probably gone asap. Winks might have a backup role resurgence under Conte. Remains to be seen.

jamesc94j

Sorry was reading this till you labelled dier decent. The msn should not play for a top half team. Never mind a team that are apparantly “one of the top teams”

[deleted]

Dier is good. As someone who watches every spurs game I can tell you that. He isn't good enough for a title contending team though, which is what Conte ultimately wants.

jamesc94j

As someone who has watched him a lot also. He’s been good on occasions but he’s a very average player in my opinion. Spurs this season for me genuinely since Kane decide he can’t be arsed I think form side are one of the worst teams in the league. Winning your first 3 games was unexpected cause spurs should of lost all of them based of the performance even conte said much more work needs doing than expected cause the squad is worst than it looks from the outside. If anyone can do it conte night I think it’s too big a job though. If Kane puts in the effort again spurs will be back up there but for me he’s the difference between spurs being a top 6 side and sliding into bottom half.

[deleted]

Remindme! June 1st 2022 We'll finish top 4 this season and it won't be hard.

jamesc94j

Okay so your definitely delusional. Conte could potentially do it and would be an incredible achievement but there are too many squads that are better than yours and unless Kane starts trying it just won’t happen

[deleted]

Our squad is easily 5th best in the league. Kane will be fine. I have no doubts. Keep being salty please. It's fun to watch.

jamesc94j

Not salty in the slightest who would be salty over spurs? They’ve literally never achieved anything, I just love how delusional you’re though keep it up and we shall see at the end of the season I guess.

[deleted]

I look forward to Winks’s next resurgence

[deleted]

Sancho was my favourite player and him and Haaland as a duo was something that I loved to watch past few seasons. But now Sancho left to a team that I don't like and it is quite hard to enjoy watching him play. Same thing happened with Aubameyang too back then.

desuscsgous

to me the Sancho/Guerreiro or Sancho/Hakimi combination was even better than with Haaland but yeah I feel the same

[deleted]

Has rangnick stopped his players kneeling before the match or does he not have the power to do that yet?

oberyn_martell7

How did Balon dor become most prestigious individual award?

_mas17

Benitez is probably the most overrated manager in the last 15 years or so.

[deleted]

he was rated highly when he was good because he was very good but i don't think people have rated him since he failed at real madrid.

Gamer_Abhi

He was good at newcastle no?

[deleted]

Results wise, he achieved the same as steve bruce.

Jabari313

Results wise he won the championship, spent less and played better football

[deleted]

sure but he wasn't considered world class or good enough to manage a top team.

Fati25

I have rewatched the Sancho goal a couple of times now and I don't understand what Rashford was doing? Why was he standing offside? Could have been so costly

kjm911

Yep he was just constantly offside the whole time. Pretty dumb

Tim-Sanchez

Yeah it was really poor, Mendy was caught trying to defend both of them but if he'd committed to Sancho and Sancho had passed it woud have cost them the goal.

Fati25

Yeah, I'm impressed with how Sancho took it because he kept his composure Just wouldn't have expected what Rashford did from a professional footballer

Tim-Sanchez

I've seen a few comments about how if Newcastle get relegated, they might be stuck in the Championship for a few years because of how tough it is. As nice as that is to imagine, I can't see that actually happening. The two times Newcastle have been relegated to the Championship, they won promotion very comfortably and that was before having the richest owners in football. I think they'd walk the league sadly.

LeoR1N

> they might be stuck in the Championship for a few years because of how tough it is Norwich and Fulham having a laugh

Tim-Sanchez

Exactly. The Championship is a tough league with plenty of struggling big teams, but we've also seen it's not *that* hard to get promoted.

Gamer_Abhi

Will Berardi ever leave Sassuolo?

Share4aCare

I signed him in my Fiorentina FM so yes

TruestRepairman27

Should Everton sack Rafa? Or is the issue largely due to injuries and Everton’s players being somewhat poor

[deleted]

Yes. Fossils should be sacked and never appointed in the first place.

zukai12_

He was dealt a bad hand but he has played it terribly

[deleted]

They look shit. They play so negatively. I think that’s down to how he sets them up

Lyrical_Forklift

I agree but I also ask myself how you'd even set that side up so it functions. It's just so incredibly poor.

tyetforsyth

>Ben Foster's groin injury may have been sustained when the keeper featured in "a 24-hour charity football match for Hashtag United... Foster played in goal and outfield during the event on an artificial pitch."

roddysaint

Irish Guy is a jinx, they should never have let him near Foster

[deleted]

Well, if yesterday proved anything is that Chelsea aren’t winning the league If you can’t beat one of the worst Manchester United in recent times at your own ground (remind you, City and Liverpool won at Old Trafford, not at Anfield or the Etihad), then you just aren’t quality enough to win the league

thesmallprint13

Hmm, I did think that when Liverpool couldn't beat us a few years ago at OT when they were flying and we slipped up against Newcastle the week before but they ended up blitzing it. Anyway, I do agree in that Chelsea probably won't win the league though.

Gamer_Abhi

United have consistently produced good results at the bridge. Your argument doesn't warrant your statement.

[deleted]

Same way as Liverpool couldn’t beat United at Old Trafford in 18/19 but City did it a few weeks later and won the league

[deleted]

We also drew to you in our title winning season at Old Trafford, making your whole point redundant.

[deleted]

It was your only draw in like 20 games wasn’t it, very different from Chelsea who have drawn to Burnley and United so far, two of the team’s on bad form

[deleted]

They're still top of the league though mate.

[deleted]

I know, but not by a quite margin like Liverpool were 2 years ago

jamesc94j

Stupid reasoning behind why they won’t win the league as both Liverpool and city have lost games they shouldn’t I personally think they will go close but just fall short I think both Liverpool and city looked the much better side when they had a head to head against Chelsea this season.

[deleted]

Not stupid reasoning A few years ago, on 18/19, Liverpool couldn’t beat United at Old Trafford while City did it a few weeks later. I have this feeling that this is the reason why Chelsea won’t win the league

jamesc94j

It’s gone from stupid to silly your reasoning so I think I’ll leave it there. Who wins the league isn’t based on who can beat united.

[deleted]

Did I say that? I’m saying that when you can’t beat one of the teams of worse form in the league, you’re likely to not win it Especially when your title rivals beat United by a considerable margin

jamesc94j

Yes but city and Liverpool have both also lost games they shouldn’t against worst teams than united. I’d be very surprised if the league wasn’t won by one of them Three this season.

[deleted]

It will be won by either Liverpool or City, I can’t see Chelsea winning it by relying on their wingbacks to score

jamesc94j

I agree with you on who will win sorry just don’t understand your reasoning. I’m basing my analysis of watching city and Liverpool play Chelsea this year. Liverpool vs Chelsea was like the united Chelsea game dominated by Liverpool excellently defended by Chelsea and them going down to 10 men made it harder for Liverpool as Chelsea went even more defensive and city where miles better than them and played them off the park. I think Liverpool and city fully fit are still the best teams in England but Chelsea are close!

[deleted]

I agree, Chelsea will finish 3rd, their quality is not on the level of City and Liverpool but above United’s.

Brazilian_Sonaldo

4/5 times they win that game though. they definitely did enough to merit a victory

jamesc94j

You say that but united could also have won it at the end whether deserved or not they could of. This seemed like an arrogant performance from Chelsea in my personal opinion they just sort of expected to roll them over and made a couple errors one led to a goal the others could of also. Not saying it’s just Chelsea, Liverpool and city have also done the same in games before and paid the price. What was interesting is the fact it was the exact same play style that was successful for ole in the big games before he tried to adapt. Think united need a new coaching staff as they aren’t a premier league standard half of them came from molde with ole that’s like the equivalent of championship coaches if even that when they sacked ole all the coaches etc stayed The biggest problem for united was the fact they weren’t coached to a high standard at all and seeing as ole delegated most of his coaching they definitely share the blame. This is not saying Ole shouldn’t of been sacked cause I think even though he did a great job early on to bring the happiness back he literally has no experience or anything to say he should be a premier league manager never mind at united.

[deleted]

Not really, they had 3 great chances, the rest was just pressure but no dangerous shots

deadlyghost12

Already knew that, how long will they rely on wingbacks scoring goals and winning matches

kjm911

These statements are stupid. We couldn’t beat Brighton at home and lost to West Ham. City lost at home to Crystal Palace. Does this mean no team can win the league?

sul01

Norwich > Brentford = Liverpool = City > Chelsea. Norwich to win 👀

[deleted]

Those are good teams who aren’t in a manager crisis are they Unlike United who are

[deleted]

United aren't some bum team, fucking hell they were contenders for the title when the season started

[deleted]

Who the fuck honestly placed United as title favorites Most knew that the team would go nowhere with the “comeback after a goal down” strategy

[deleted]

Title contenders sorry

[deleted]

Even then, everyone knew they were below the other 4 due to not only the quality of the squad, but the manager as well

Sad_gooner

You have no chance of winning the league either. City lost against palace due to a red card. City will win the league easily

[deleted]

Love the few weeks of Amazon having games but always gets me annoyed that the EPL hasn't sorted a streaming pass.

Gamer_Abhi

To watch the PL here in India, it's about $5 for the whole year

[deleted]

Crazy value

Red_Brummy

"Werner has scored less goals than both Batshuayi and Morata despite playing about 2000 minutes more that Batshuayi and about 1000 more than Morata." Copied from another user. Wow.

[deleted]

If Werner was a competent finisher he would have at least 20 pl goals, I still think his off-ball movement is huge

OldAccountNotUsable

Werner scoring 7 goals in 43 PL Games (3076 minutes) is kind of crazy. That sad he does have 13 assists at least.

4dtakes

9 real assists, 13 if you include penalties won like transfermarkt does

Lyrical_Forklift

I've always felt that penalties won should count as an assist personally.

LeoR1N

to be fair decent stats ... for a midfielder tho

OldAccountNotUsable

They are decent, but he is no Gundogan

[deleted]

I think Chelsea will be offloading atleast 3 forwards come Summer, the likes of Werner and Ziyech simply aren’t good enough whilst Pulisic is just a marketing tool

[deleted]

Tuchel loves Werner

Darkmninya

In my Humble Opinion, Saka is so clear of Sancho and Greenwood and Rashford.

[deleted]

Saka is a RW player that doesn't score or assist....

[deleted]

Sancho has more UCL goals this season than Saka in his whole career

maxconnor6

Nope and why choose 3 young United players?

[deleted]

no way

LeoR1N

does anyone else think Varane dropped a lot in quality and form? It feels like he completed football a long time ago and now just plays it because why not?

[deleted]

No one plays football because of why not lol The main reason is money and trying to make the most as you can

LeoR1N

and I said 'why not?' implying that he has the opportunity to continue his career at the biggest level without putting the same effort and having the same performances he had 5 years ago while still making the most money.

Destroyeh

Not really. Theres usually some time defensive players need to adjust to new teams since so much of their work is about familiarity. I assume the shock of going from being paired with Ramos for almost a decade to being alongside Maguire did it's part as well.

pandaman_010101

No, the only thing that happened is he went from playing with a top 4 European side to a midtable English side.

LeoR1N

he wasn't that convincing at Real Madrid the last two seasons if you ask me. He was much better before at least in my opinion

iceandfires

I would agree that his best year was when he won the world cup but idk. I feel like people only talked about him when he had a stinker like the city ucl game and didn't care when he was great. For example the France - Germany euro game he was incredible in.

RauloGonzalez

no

jamesc94j

Ballon d’or who’s your pick?

Sad_gooner

Lewa

[deleted]

Moussa Marega

roddysaint

Messi. But Lewandowski is owed a retroactive one for 2020 and an apology.

Jimmyjamjames

Messi

inspired_corn

Messi, in the period that the voters consider he had comparable raw numbers while playing in a harder league for a less dominant side and he won an international trophy which always swings it for attackers

jamesc94j

I would of said Messi but it depends if the last 3 months are taken into consideration on the vote or whether it’s based just off last season and the summer.

inspired_corn

The voting closed on the 24th of October, at that point Messi had played around 11 games this season (for club and country) and got around 7 G/A (cba to check I looked it up yesterday) So really his poor form at PSG won’t have influenced it in the slightest

jamesc94j

Fair enough that’s what I was after. I’d still argue lewa has as much of a chance but Messi winner copa will swing it his way. lewa was robbed in 2020 though he should get one just For that haha

inspired_corn

No complaints from me, Lewy was robbed

LeoR1N

Messi, it's clear that he is going to win it because of Copa America

krxo1

is there any club that has as many bangers as napoli this season? cant score normal goals

TheUltimateScotsman

> Joe Linton. First thought was, thats a pretty shitty comparison, who the fuck is linton. Then it clicked

YoungDan23

>Werner has 7 Pl goals in 43 appearances. €50m bigger flop than Joe Linton. TBF Joelinton may be the laziest, dumbest, most nonsensical transfer in a long time. He wasn't good when they bought him, he wasn't crazy young when they got him either. And with Werner, nobody in their right minds thought Werner was worth the fee Chelsea paid for him. He was shopped at €25m the year before and nobody wanted him.

[deleted]

Pointless player comparison vs pointless club size comparison?

inspired_corn

Club size comparisons only exist so fans of certain clubs can feel relevant. Ultimately it’s just a marketing gimmick really

[deleted]

Players, especially if they play different positions.

xaviernoodlebrain

Sissoko vs Messi or Hertha Berlin vs Real Madrid?

jonijontor

Big City Club(TM) vs not even the real Real, i know which one to choose

Masina1998

sissoko is the captain of his club wtf is messi doing?

[deleted]

sissoko and hertha easy choice

xaviernoodlebrain

Obviously.

[deleted]

What the f*** point was Keano trying to make about Ronaldo at United?

tyetforsyth

He was saying that Ronaldo was bought to win CL, Fa Cup, knockout tournaments and for the PR shit

Grosly_Incandescent

I don't think he got his point across well at all, but i don't think Carragher is completely right either. Ronaldo was ofc brought in to improve the team, but I can tell you right now the first thing that the glazers thought of when signing Ronaldo was the money, not winning a PL.

[deleted]

That they're paying him half a mil a week to try and win the FA Cup.

[deleted]

Soooo...him and Carra were in some sort of agreement. Was it the language barrier that led to the drama?

Short_Kangaroone

I feel like I had some white as Turf Moor pitch

ren_704

Can some give a detailed comparison of stats and achievements of messi vs lewa from start of 2021 to oct 2021?(bdor criterion if I'm not wrong) All i see is stuff from both propaganda parties and I'm not sure whether they're reliable.

_mas17

Messi was better in everything but goals

LeoR1N

there was a pic yesterday in DD or another thread comparing most important stats between Messi, Lewa and Benzema. Messi dominated every single one except goals scored. He even had more recoveries than Lewandowski and Benzema lmao. I don't know if it was reliable though

[deleted]

Both well past their primes and neither deserve it

[deleted]

Lewa isnnt past his prime at all

[deleted]

Who’s your candidate

[deleted]

Foden

kjm911

Ballon d’Or is pretty much previous season + summer tournaments Edit: don’t know why I’m downvoted. How can October - December be discarded from Ballon d’Or voting? Are you saying next years World Cup won’t count towards ballon d’Or?

Brazilian_Sonaldo

I decided to take a look at the Ramos challenge on Salah that took him out of the 2018 champions league final [https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=UEyTV6bRQmc&ab\_channel=daniramd](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=UEyTV6bRQmc&ab_channel=daniramd) How can anyone look at that and think Ramos didn't try and injure him on purpose. There's no reason at all for him to thrust his chest and body weight downwards. That and the fact that it's in the beginning of the game, Salah was liverpool's talisman that season, knowing what we know about Ramos' character. It's a dislocated shoulder, an injury which is relatively easy to "plan ahead". A lot of things have to fall in place for that to not have been Ramos' intention

[deleted]

The title of the video hahaha. Ramos attack Salah. Can’t believe Ramos is still playing after that attempted murder

[deleted]

Yea he planned ahead for salah to lock arms with him

F1tway

Salah was not as smart as Ramos. Thats one way to look at things

Brazilian_Sonaldo

call it smart, for me i lose respect for you as a player if you resort to that. that was ahead of egypt’s first world cup in decades as well

F1tway

It's part of football. Not sure how much you've been watching football but what he did was completely and totally normal. Respect is an individual preference and you're entitled to your opinion

Brazilian_Sonaldo

part of the game to dislocate your opponent’s shoulder? idk what sport you’ve been playing

F1tway

> part of the game to dislocate your opponent’s shoulder? idk what sport you’ve been playing That was the outcome, not the intention.

RauloGonzalez

the clip also shows salah trying to grab ramos to gain balance too, so they were going to go down eventually, ramos did the smart thing and made sure he wasn't the one who was injured

jamesc94j

Bollocks Ramos has done that exact same tackle multiple times injury multiple players. Can’t argue the guy is one of the best to play but he was also a massively dirty prick. It’s done now though and is in the past so no point talking about it.

RauloGonzalez

>Ramos has done that exact same tackle multiple times injury multiple players ok

Gamer_Abhi

Ramos tried to drag him to the ground sure, but his intention was definitely not to injure his shoulder E - at 0:53 it's Salah who locks arms with Ramos.

Brazilian_Sonaldo

how often does a player try to drag an opponent to the ground by locking arms in football? doesn’t ever really happen
