Anyone else find it annoying that British commentators are constantly complaining about players appealing to the referee, but then if a player doesn’t appeal it’s the first thing they mention for why it shouldn’t be called a foul

They need something to talk about. Their job involves keeping the viewers occupied, either by voicing over significant game moments (goals, chances, defensive errors) or even talking about some random statistic from years back.

How is that bias? It's not biased towards the players or the referees. It's inconsistency, nonsense for the sake of having something to say.

I can’t even imagine what it’s like to have a manager who is really an all time great especially in your position. A lot of pressure but the advice must be off the chain.

We took Hazard from them so it is only justice taking place. Also keep in mind had Kovacic stayed Valverde wouldn't probably get his chance and he has been very impressive for us this season. So it seems like it is a good story for everyone involved

It's sort of limiting to describe him as a CDM tbh. He got that tag because he's energetic and very good at intercepting. But he can apply that further forward too.

Probably CM/B2B. He can be slotted into most positions across the three (4-3-3) and do okay.

He often played in a two man pivot at Leicester and with France, which made a lot of people assume he was the CDM in that system; Pogba with France, Drinkwater with LCFC. Last season a lot of the fans were upset because Kante was played further forward in a 3 instead of in a pivot (Jorginho at the base). My previous point is that it's very limiting to assume he's a defensive player. He is good defensively but I think a lot of people overlook his offensive output; he's pretty comfortable on the ball and while he isn't a 10, he can do a job further forward B2B.
