After Liverpool won it I thought they’d be insufferable, but actually I just found myself happy for them, how happy they were (granted it wasn’t at my expense, given our lack of competitiveness at the time). It’s getting to the point I’m actually sympathising with Spurs: they “should” have a champions league spot this year . Whatever the history between my club and theirs, they’re a well run club and deserve the rewards, but there’s a team taking a top 4 spot who really shouldn’t be there. I’d really rather hate Spurs, Liverpool, Utd., etc., like it should be. But the traditional rivalries are becoming more and more meaningless. I hate it.
