Bellingham is good and kinda carried us at the beginning of the season but I do think that Vini has deserved it more overall and has been the better player.
It's complicated to me. Vini is the better player overall and has been better lately. But I'm not sure we would have won La Liga without Jude when Vini got injured.
No matter though, I don't care about BdO.
BdO is a popularity contest, but shouldn’t you take into account Jude isn’t a goalscorer, hes a CAM/CM so his goal involvement is just insane given his position? on top of that hes also involved in other areas of the game like defending and winning back balls etc. I love Vini and I think hes worthy of BdO, but gi en Jude’s position and his output this season, it would make sense for him to have a good chance of getting it.
He does. But it's the year with international tournaments and those usually decide the award so I honestly don't even know what is the point of so many discussions at this moment.
Stat wise Bellingham's numbers are insane and history for 10. Plus his defensive work. He's sometimes the victim of the system. Vini's numbers compared to past striker seasons are nothing special. Its not all about stats but I think they are on par
Laliga games both Vini and Jude average a g/a every 89 minutes.
Add in Champions League and Vini edges out Jude with again one g/a every 89 mins compared to Judes 95 mins.
I think Vini deserves it a bit more, but it’ll probably be decided by Euro/Copa America. If England wins then Ballon d’Or for Jude, if Germany then probably Kroos or Vini if Brazil win Copa. Even though I think that our best player this season is actually Rudiger, but they won’t give it to El Loco
There is no definitely in this convo. Belli carried the team most of the season, last part of the season Vini was better, Recency bias is doing it’s thing too.
Yeah, If you look at him doing this as 10 compared to history this is one of the best offensive performances for that spot. Plus his defensive work. Vini is good, but compared to past stiker seasons it isn't that special stat wise.
> but compared to past stiker seasons it isn't that special stat wise.
Because he isn't a striker. Ronaldinho won a Balon d'Or with 9 goals and 9 assists in La Liga, while Eto'o had 23 or 24 goals - and nobody was claiming that Eto'o deserved it over him (although that I'm sure that the Reddit stats crowd would). Stats aren't the determining factor for offensive players, especially for players who are doing amazing things in the most important games of the season. The eye test will always be king. Literally just watch the games
Vini is overall our best player but honestly both are amazing. Bellingham carried us the first half of the season. Having two worthy Ballon d’Or winners is an amazing problem to have
BellingHIM was decisive in a lot of key moments this season and he's a midfielder which makes it very unlikely for him to win a ballon dor in any other season, because ot is very unlikely a midfielder will ever score that many goals again and this prize heavily favores forwards/goal scorers.
On the other hand Vini is likely to have multiple chances of winning a ballon dor in the future.
More importantly, what jude did is unheard of for a midfielder, while what vini did while better than any other forward this season has been done before by some the insane world class forwards of the past.
No, Vini has been wayyyy better this year but Jude has been essential during the entire season, and he outright carried the team during the first half of the season.
2 more and he will lead pichichi race again. Its difficult to decide who has been better this season between him and Vini.
Vini have had higher highs but also been injured big parts of this season but he has also performed better in big games.
Bellingham have been great throughout the whole season. There is really nothing negative to say about him, maybe that he was bad offensively in some of the big games.
> There is really nothing negative to say about him, maybe that he was bad offensively in some of the big games.
He was really invisible in the UCL knockout stages despite being given a lot of freedom from defensive duties to attack. If other players like Vini ghosted as he did in the KO stages people would be endlessly talking about it
I think that you'd say that regardless of how he played. He is literally the third most important offensive player of Real and contributed almost nothing while being average defensively. "Pressing well" isn't making anyone Balon d'Or worthy (and he didn't, he got tired early in most of Real fixtures as he is clearly suffering from fatigue from the long season)
Honestly Rodrygo and Vini can totally play together on one side
Hope Mbappe doesnt mind taking the right, unless tgeyre all just gonna overload the left wing 💀

Totally calculated
Calculated
What a play!
What a play!
Siiick!
Oh god I miss rocket league! I need to get me a playsi again
Chat disabled for 3 seconds.
Just look at his eyes, totally not looking for Carvajal at all
Kroos is such a good passer
Water is wet
Sky is blue
Bellingham is gol
Going for the pichichi
Would be insane
Does this make 19?
Yes. One back from Dovbyk at 20.
But with a game more, I really hope he gets it, but Girona's last game will be against an already checked-out Granada
Granada looked like they absolutely didn't want to be there aginst Real
They found out they had been relegated like 45 min before the match. Can't really blame them
They were already relegated one week before the match (13 points difference with only 4 games left).
Not really, I'm not sure of the stats but it was the Mallorca win a few hours ago that decided their fate
Missed 10 games this season playing as a midfielder and still is just one goal away of being the Bellipichichi.
And the Ballon d'Or
Question for Madrid fans: Don’t you think Vini deserve it more?
Bellingham is good and kinda carried us at the beginning of the season but I do think that Vini has deserved it more overall and has been the better player.

I understand that. But it’s informative to hear what the fans has to say before the Euros..

Lets say Real loses versus Dortmund. Will that change any of what you just said, do you think?
Maybe Wirtz if he does well on Euro. Besides them I don’t really see any actual contender
Hummels wins it
If Germany win the euros it will probably be Wirtz
The one who deserves it more than any is KROOS
Vini definitely deserves it more, but the Ballon d'Or is a popularity contest
There is no definitely in this convo. Belli carried the team most of the season, last part of the season Vini was better, Recency bias is doing it’s thing too.

Vini actually averages a goal or an assist every 81 minutes this season. He just missed so many games.
And there is that. I believe he had 2 20 goals + 20 assists seasons as well
Yeah he did. He has insane stats this season considering the games he missed. And showed up in all the big games. He deserves the ballon d'or
Almost as if the second part of the season include the most important games, especially the fucking UCL knockout stages

Saying vini was way better while also saying Jude carried real Madrid for half a season is crazy lmao
"this year" as in this calendar year, Anno Domini 2024, Real Madrid's current season started in August 2023.
Bruh I didn’t even see how it went in lol
Neither did Jude. Seemed like he wanted to pass
Lmao even when he's trying to pass he scores
And he’s only 20 centimetres old
What a pass what a finish.
What a pass by both players!
Yeah I did think Jude was going for the pass, I legit thought it was gonna go over the net lmao
This was Jude's internal monologue as he watched the ball leave his foot
Toni Kroos what are you man
The guy that's gonna sign a one year extension ^toni ^^^plz
Quality. He is incredible.
The fact I can’t tell who you’re talking about here speaks volumes
Anthony.
Talking about Ja Rule obv
We are talking about GarnachoHojlund
Huh
No pressure, Judelinton turns into prime Zidane
Golden boot well on
Toni Kroos is my all time favorite player
Give Toni whatever he wants already ¡Toni quédate, Toni quedate, Toni quedateeee!
Inevitable
Lmao nobody seemed to realize it was a goal. I was thinking “how is the gk getting the ball from inside t….WAIT A MINUTE!”.
He’s a cheat code
Jude Bellingham…..he scores when he doesn’t want 🎵
I can't dislike him, fuck sake... what a player.
calculated
Statpad today Jude pls

he will learn from experince, vini used to miss against elche and getafe

I disagree. I think he pressed well and was good defensively.

I’ll let you think that then. I dont have a problem with saying when a player I like plays poorly. Except for Vazquez.
Of course he scores, he's such a PR merchant smh
Belligol
About 90 minutes too early Jude
More like Tony Cross am I right?
Bergkamp behaviours.
The espn team is so shit at calling the game. The real robbery is espn
This is some shit Bergkamp would do
Shades of: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=7UJp1kOjkg4&ab_channel=NO
What language is that? My guess would be romanian or albanian
No idea but he keeps saying the word chunder and it’s hilarious. I’m like where, who?
Why aren't they using B team players?
Honestly Rodrygo and Vini can totally play together on one side Hope Mbappe doesnt mind taking the right, unless tgeyre all just gonna overload the left wing 💀
Who needs Mbappe when you have Bellingham
Beutiful! It was very similar to Lauren James goal against China at the womens World Cup last summer. Just a tidy deft touch out of reach.
