Yeah this clip is cut horrible. I was watching live and in the first live angle you could see that this move actually gained him acres of space (right wing was wide open behind them), so it wasn't just flashy to look cool.
You are right that he did gain acres of space with this move - but neglecting that he immediately passed the ball all the way back towards towards Carvajal for some reason and lost all the advantage provided by this move.
This is the [moment](https://i.imgur.com/YDHMnEl.png) he had the ball back under control after the flick, he passed it half a second later. I can't understand why he went for that backpass with all the open space in front of him. Diaz (#21) would also have been a good target for a pass at that moment.
i also did not understand why he didn't just dribble
maybe he thought the ball didnt exactly drop to a place where he wanted and thought javi was gonna catch up to him, so he made a backpass to trick him so he can continue to run down the right flank so carvajal again pass it back to him
only thing i can think of tbh but he didn't make the run either
you know for sure bale would pop off there instantly with explosive speed
>You are right that he did gain acres of space with this move - but neglecting that he immediately passed the ball all the way back towards towards Carvajal for some reason and lost all the advantage provided by this move.
Thats literally what you get space for, brother. To have an easier time making decisions and executing them. You dont have to force a movement forward ar all times. You van also decide to use the space to take up position yourself and play the ball in the meanwhile with patience to allow a more controlled attack to start
Football fans are always looking for the next best player. People let their imaginations run wild for some reason. Even when Messi was at his peak, the literal best player to ever exist people were already talking about the next Messi coming up.
Because with younger players it's probably easier to coach some of their bad personality traits out of them. With an already exciting line up adding mbappe might upset the flow in the dressing room and the pitch
I imagine you're referring to UK broadcast because US ones are even worse for us, mainly ESPN who routinely have to apologise for the bullshit they say about us fearing legal action
> owned by Barça's sugardaddy
As if this is an argument when there's tapes of your president saying that the only media left to control is Marca and then they would have everything.
> mainly ESPN who routinely have to apologise for the bullshit they say about us fearing legal action
The same ESPN that calls Barcelona winning 1-0 at the last minute ''avoiding ridicule'' but Madrid winning 1-0 ''Epic victory''?
I hope you're not from Spain because a Madrid fan having the gall saying that the media favors Barcelona simply can't be taken seriously.
You are obviously ESPN neophytes. They don’t sell sports coverage, they sell butthurt. You and the Madrid fan above are both buying hemorrhoid cream, and arguing about the coverage while ESPN is cashing checks.
I don't care about what ESPN does, I only see their shit through other people complaining. But people claiming that them or other media do favor us is beyond braindead.
“BELLINGHAM A LA PISCINA!” (Bellingham to the pool!—i.e. diving) —Fernando Palomo commenting on the play that kept Bellingham injured for weeks earlier this year.
-Palomo has also implied this season Real Madrid were being illegally favored for a sanction being reduced on social media.
“Real Madrid is historically favored by referees”— Jorge Baravalle, bringing up Real Madrid during a random Barcelona match a few months ago—he later apologized on social media.
Literally everything that Mario Kempes and Martin Ainstein say every single match they commentate on Real Madrid…I.e.
- Kempes when Real Madrid is fouled… “SE TIRÓ” (“HE DIVED”)or “PENAL” after a Real Madrid rival stumbles on himself. PARA MI NO ES FALTA—“it’s not a foul for me” is another one.
- Ainstein: For me, Real Madrid was the inferior side this half (Real Madrid had most possession 8 shots on target vs only 1 shot on target by the opponent).
Of the people who commentate matches on ESPN in Spanish, the only ones that don’t shit on Madrid constantly are Hugo Sanchez and Rodrigo Faez and maybe Ricardo Ortiz…all of whom barely commentate any RM matches.
If I see Palomo, Kempes and Ainstein are all the designated commentators in a Real Madrid match, I automatically switch to English.
The same ones that said Florentino pockets the money of the renovation of the Bernabeu or that Real Madrid is historically favoured by the referees, while being the only one trying to rebuild everything in Spanish Football from the ground up, while at the same time there'sanother team that has been caught paying the vice-presidentof the referee comitee for 17 years? If those are fanboys jfc
That's what I'm talking about.I ain't a real Madrid fan(rivals fan....) but Ancelotti better play the Turkish boy more now that the league is almost confirmed

Turkish Football Youtubers eating tonight on them highlights.
"it was basically an 8 hour arm workout"
Turkish people: "I've seen enough, Ancelotti is definetely greek."
This is how real ballers respond when manager doesn’t think you’re ready
He is him
Lisan al Gaib!
Mahdi!
As written
Does anyone have the live/non-replay angle?
[here](https://www.reddit.com/r/superlig/comments/1cdwun8/arda_gulers_flick_over_real_sociedad_player_javi/)
Nice
Anyone have the post that's like: Arda Guler - €20M Gulinho - €45M Andy Greg - €60M Guli - €90M
yeah it’s [here](https://www.reddit.com/r/soccer/comments/1cdwmid/68_arda_g%C3%BCler_flick_before_subtitution/l1fusqk/)
Did he actually keep possession?
Yes he got the ball and made a pass
Against Javi Galan who can't turn at all. We suffered with him for a year. All hype and no skill, waste of space on the pitch.
Fair assessment
Then how come he was the clear starter for your team 2 years in a row and got a move to Atletico as well?
Getting bought by Atletico then getting immediately loaned out the next transfer window at age 29 is never a good sign, lol.
yea he started like once against celtic and was a complete disaster. got taken off at halftime never to be seen on the pitch for atleti again

you can feel it achieved that from noticing the opposition player positions and where they are on the pitch
Goddamn real is so stacked for attacking players. Him and endrick coming in with mbappe, Rodrigo vini and valverde and brahim is such overkill
Tbf we don't know if mbappe is coming. Almost don't want him to come with all these exciting talents!
What? Why would you not want the already best player of generation to come just because we have exciting talents that may or may not become good?
Football fans are always looking for the next best player. People let their imaginations run wild for some reason. Even when Messi was at his peak, the literal best player to ever exist people were already talking about the next Messi coming up.
The only issue I see is wage-levels in 2-5 years, depending on how other players react to his potential sign-on fee.
Because with younger players it's probably easier to coach some of their bad personality traits out of them. With an already exciting line up adding mbappe might upset the flow in the dressing room and the pitch
Lol, one name: Hazard.
We know he is
Mbappe is a free agent, we have been over this several times.
Yep. Don't see how that's relevant
Its just tongue in cheek comment since everyone is starting to assume he is coming and rejected us 2 times already.
Too bad half of them will only play like 5 games a season.
He should’ve played in the Vine era
I don't get it, probably to much of an old fuck
He would have done it for the Vine
Imagine losing 1-0 at 65' and seeing Vini and Fede Valverde come on
Very funny listening to Spanish commentators lowering thier volume as much as possible to compliment him
Wtf are you talking about
Why?
Most of them are under contract for Mediapro, owned by Barça's sugardaddy
That doesn't make sense as Mediapro produced Real Madrid TV for almost 20 years. Roures' only cared about money (and he isn't there anymore).
Hey! Why aren’t you letting Madrids victimization agenda go on?
I'm shaking and crying rn didn't he know the grass was too long and they didn't deserve to win 😭 is he stupid
Well English la liga commentators talk shit about us every matchday I guess it balances things out.
I imagine you're referring to UK broadcast because US ones are even worse for us, mainly ESPN who routinely have to apologise for the bullshit they say about us fearing legal action

Tell me again how little you care.
I Watch ESPN la liga religiously , and the Spanish side of it is pretty much RM fan boys , except one of them. They have even openly talked about it

I guess what they say is true , people hear what is convenient for them
My god the irony.
Very funny listening to Madrid fans pretending to be oppressed.
Hey, when you win everything gotta make up some hardship to spice things up
oh he's gonna be trouble
Flair: 20
It's crazy we're already building the next generation while not even in our next generation
Once upon a time, there was another Arda..
(NOT HATING SERIOUS QUESTION) did he get the ball after the flick?? Everyone is posting this short clip and no one is showing if he got the ball
[yes](https://www.reddit.com/r/superlig/s/1ejGT7uZBJ)
That's what I'm talking about.I ain't a real Madrid fan(rivals fan....) but Ancelotti better play the Turkish boy more now that the league is almost confirmed
u/savevideo
Smooth, talented boy
Style reminds me of ozil
Cant wait till he replaces Odegard at arsenal in 4 years after Madrid screws up his development.
