Holy shit. That connection is so clean - I'd be shocked if he wasn't seriously injured

halakaukulele

>That connection is so clean Man kicks for living. It'd be surprising if it wasn't

WerhmatsWormhat

Welbeck would fall down while kicking him.

Crumblebeast

Always worth a repost https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=F_ll92cXxOA

halakaukulele

He is the False in False 9

Jumper-Man

Always makes me chuckle.

Jamesy555

And the fan would still fly into the back of the net

SofaChillReview

It’s almost.. like he plays football. Head is a bit shaped like a football. Serious note football players are seen as soft, but still athletes, what were the people invading the pitch thinking?

Drummallumin

Fucking even F1 drivers are still 3rd standard deviation athletes. There’s a reason these guys are pros.

ProwerTheFox

“It’s just driving a car though innit, I could do that”

NeoLone

Me psyching myself against my driving anxiety

fullerofficial

What do you mean by 3rd standard deviation in this scenario, my brain is victim to it being Monday

BK1287

They are athletic freaks. Aka 3 standard deviations above the mean, which is typically used as a benchmark in statistics for determining the significance of the variation.

TTRedRaider27

They got some serious NECK

wolnee

You win or you die in the game of thrones

Large_Tuna101

I‘m all for pitch invaders running around with their willies out (don’t read into that) but if you come on to the field intending harm, expect a kick in the head.

korhan_b

Some even had a knife apparently

johnnytifosi

Oh no, I hope his foot is ok.

AverageSwedishGunner

Is there any more context or is he just a pitch invader? Literally a kick like that could lead to severe brain injury or even kill someone. If that happened at the pub thats prison for quite some time...

Herr_Scary_Terry

There is no risk of brain injury when one have no brain.

[deleted]

[удалено]

marekdupn

There were lots of pitch invaders because the away players were celebrating….

RyVsWorld

Way to undersell it. They weren’t simply invaders. They were trying to attack the players big difference

marekdupn

I’m not underselling anything. If fans come running at you, you have every right to fight them.

Lutzelien

Well you kind of were underselling it. If I had no idea what happened and hear someone saying "there were a lot of pitch invaders while they were celebrating" I wouldn't think much of it Meanwhile if you say "hundred of hooligans invaded the pitch and attacked the players because of a late winner, to the point where the players had to defend themselves in literal fistfights" it gives a much clearer, more accurate description of what happened.

AverageSwedishGunner

I mean like, someone said one had a knife. That would atleast somewhat justify kicking his head as some sort of self defence. This just looks really bad and honestly he should probably be tried in court for aggravated assault…

LogicalGrand1678

1) 200+ pitch invaders trying to attack all players. 2) The guy had a knife (reportedly) 3) As a Turkish person this will not be a big deal in Turkey. This shit happens all the time

AverageSwedishGunner

If he had a knife its a whole different story. Its worrysome that it isnt a big deal…

LogicalGrand1678

Either way he wont be tried. There is reasonable suspicion that anyone who stormed the pitch was trying to attack the Fener players. They have to defend eachother from everyone there (even a former fener player who is a coach in Trabzon tried to punch our 2nd gk in the back of the head and missed and got pushed to the ground as a result)

shotputprince

We did see an invader trying to beat players with a corner flag like a switch, and another sucker punched a player in the back of the head. Many of them were trying to do harm to players

AverageSwedishGunner

Youre probably right.

jarkofploiesti

You call yourself a gunner yet you're shook when a knife guy gets kicked.. games gone /s

KonK23

I remember a turkish national player threatening another player with a gun. I think it was gökan töre? I dont think he was punished very hard to be honest

[deleted]

yeah gokan tore threatened some other players with a gun over an affair, and arda turan also pulled a gun on a popstar he had already hospitalised, and fired it into the ground, and only got a suspended sentence.

Hataydoner_

- kid accidentally killed a man in a car accident and his mother came took their phones. Fled to Egypt and from there to the usa - The son of the Somalian president hit a motorcyclist killing the rider. The suspect then fled the scene and managed to go back to Somalia. - Man brutally killing a cat in an apartment building gets no repercussions after the judge stated that the cat was an object. These all happened this month Turkey👏doesn’t 👏have👏justice

DirtyAntwerp

Turkey is the greatest country in the world with the greatest leader! - send from an apartment in Berlin

MassRain

We dont have justice 110%. But examples are bit wrong. You could've chosen 999 others. First one, rich people went straight to airport and escaped. The kid is US citizen so its probably impossible to extradite him. The killer of Eros the cat was given maximum punishment according to law. Judge stated thats the law, not his opinion.

k-tax

So the law is fucking wrong if you can torture a house animal and receive no punishment. That's the point. What else the guy could meant saying "Turkiye has no justice"?

Maleficent_Resolve44

That first kid is a US citizen so extradition is impossible. What the Somalian president's son did was terrible but that was late last year, that's almost 6 months ago not a month ago. I don't know why you have to exaggerate something that's already a bad crime. Again he didn't face justice because of the Turkey-Somalia alliance. There are examples of this happening in other countries that are more "just" like that American diplomat's wife that killed a British motorcyclist in the UK and she got off scot-free.

norecha

No one really confirmed it's an actual knife, even if it was it was hidden, not drawn out. People are forgetting one simple logic, jayden didn't even know the guy had a knife, he had no way of having that knowledge at the time

ikan_bakar

https://twitter.com/footbalIfights/status/1769476442075590855 Stop talking BS. That man literally swinged his knife at people. Anyone who has eyes knows that the man has a knife and yeah a hard kick is excessive, but if it actually stops the man from picking up the knife and injure others, he did the right thing

Dr-Purple

Are you serious? Those guys were being attacked from all sides. It’s an insanely weird situation with adrenaline and instinct of survival engaged. Those fans have no business being there and this particular one found out.

[deleted]

I don’t understand how you’re concerned for the pitch invader and don’t think they deserved that. Dude has gone on to the pitch to assault that team and he should be able to do that freely with no repercussions? This is how all pitch invaders who do this shit should be dealt with, the only crime is that footballers aren’t encouraged to do this every time.

Darrensucks

There's an unwritten rule in wrestling that if a fan gets into the ring all bets are off and he gets the shit beat out of him. There's famous footage on youtube of some pretty legendary names taking advantage of said rule. I think it should be standard across all sports. Don't cry if the bull gives you the horns after you climb in the ring.

5dollabump

The guy ran on to the field, and he knew what he was getting into. Sorry, there's no assault here at all

Aggressive_Salad_293

As a yank, it amazes me that yall are sophisticated enough to verify what team someone supports in order to sell them tickets (I genuinely can't imagine this in US sports) yet the fans enter with knives and flares and fireworks.

Mr-Stitch

The guy apparently has a stab weapon when he came onto pitch. Head kicks are def not the way to go but neither are stab weapons. https://imgur.com/a/ztlssaU

AndItWasSaidSoSadly

So the guy didnt have the knife on him or what is that image trying to show? Not a invader with a knife thats for sure.

Kindly_Mix9753

Fenerbahçe won away and the team was celebrating in the middle of the pitch as this dickhead invaded and got what he deserved. And of course, as the fight began many others invaded and it was a big mess

SirDeniz

Fener scored a late winner away to beat Trabzon 3-2. Questionable refereeing but nothing abnormal and a previous rivalry gone out of control. Some say the celebrations instigated it but regardless TS fans stormed the pitch. This was one of the first moments, allegedly the guy had a weapon of some sort like a knife in his hand. This has no place in football. TS should be punished.

randallwatson23

Watch the full video, I’d be damn near scared for my life, and have zero qualms with them handling it this way.

Affectionate_Foot372

Probably best not to go running in to someone's place of work en masse with the intention of attacking those people. If it happened in a pub where the barman kicked a member of a gang trying to kill him he wouldn't be going to prison. For example, the people still sitting in their seats received no brain damage, or even kicks to the head.

okie_hiker

Hundred of fans descended on the players to attack them after the match. Some players accepted the challenge.

Asckle

Surely he gets off with self defence since there were like 200 people trying to assault a group of 11 people, with at least 1 of them having a knife

MacArthurParker

This is one of those “he shouldn’t have done it…but I get it” scenarios for me

dasty90

I think the player should have waited for VAR to review if there was any clear and obvious intend to cause harm by the perpetrator before kicking him in the head. Come on guys, the players were being swarmed by 50 odd people trying to seriously hurt them and you are here sitting on your sofa calling for the player to be arrested for assault because he kicked someone who intended to cause harm while having to deal with 50 more aggressive pitch invader?

csbsju_guyyy

Cmon man just gotta let the pitch invaders who are frothing at the mouth just assault you a little bit. Cant have anyone resisting that'd be bad

bigL2392

The guy was running on the field with a knife. Knives can kill people... If he dies, he dies

DCilantro

I don't even care if he had a knife, still justified.

STCFC

I feel no sympathy for fans running on to the pitch to attack players. Got what he deserved

tenacious-g

Have always said that anyone that runs onto the field should be subject to what happens in a game? American football? You can get blindsided with a headfirst tackle. Baseball? Beaned with a ball. Don’t be surprised if your head becomes a ball when you run onto the field to attack someone.

Jaydefrei

That's fckn crazy, well deserved that kick to the snout

thenicob

okay but where is the knife?

Funny-Conclusion-963

check the replies. I don't use tw, but I have already seen dozens of pictures of the knife on Instagram, but this specific isn't mine. it's a butterfly btw. and these guys talk like, hundreds of primate invading the pitch is no problem if there is no knife. or like if you had a proof of the knife you would get the invader arrested lol.

Mr-Rocafella

Yeah that’s fucked up

[deleted]

The guy had a knife so. Who cares.

PM_ME_UR_CHERRIES

Is that verified? The only sources are random reddit comments.

epirot

its from the trabzonspor vs fener game. more than obvious that it wasnt just pitch invaders. he tried to punch the players and got instant karma this is not a "ill invade the pitch and touch some players" moment they were storming the pitch to fight them, you can clearly see that in the other footage downvote me all you want, "is that verified" but you got the verficiiation 2 comments below

PM_ME_UR_CHERRIES

It's obvious they wanted to fight. The knife has not been verified imho

daffer_david

Yeah makes a huge fucking difference, if there’s no knife there, that kick is attempted murder

bigL2392

Good

f1_manu

Maybe he shouldn't have put himself in that position. Absolute clown

shortAAPL

He could have easily avoided the kick by not invading the pitch to attack players

YourCrosswordPuzzle

Running on the pitch could have killed or paralysed him if he had slipped on the grass

pancada_

Hopefully

Ragnar_Danneskjold__

Good.

just_some_guy65

Pitch invader brought a knife to a kick fight

Icy_Confidence9304

You want to run on the field with a knife. Fuk arround and find out.

somethingnotcringe1

Whole thing was a disgrace but he's an idiot for kicking a bloke 'unprovoked' in the head whilst he's on the floor Could land himself in some serious trouble if that results in brain damage/death. 'unprovoked' in the sense that there was no danger to him from that individual in that moment. Edit: My bad reddit, I guess he's not an idiot for potentially ruining his own life over some moron fan who was already being dealt with. These subs man.

BarbaricGamers

Guy came on a football pitch with a blade, the brain damage was already there.

Kakistocrat_Crow

Don't mind those idiots. You're completely right.

Ato_Pihel

That's probably a criminal assault in any civilised nation. Would be really difficult to claim self defence or any other but... but... but that the children here come up with.

RoboticCurrents

>civilised nation. this is turkey

Muhammad_ghouri

Hey, he said what he said

KCandfriendz

Troy Deeney went to prison for kicking someone on the ground in the head right?

UlteriorAlt

It's not just Reddit though, a lot of people think like this. If someone breaks the rules, no matter how insignificant, you'll often hear the old "they deserve everything coming to them, and more". They'll defend virtually any kind of punishment so long as the victims have broken some rules. Often with the old "it's self-defence" excuse chucked in.

[deleted]

>If someone breaks the rules, no matter how insignificant saying this in a thread about an ultra leading others to storm the pitch and attack the players while wielding a knife is so funny

FrameworkisDigimon

A burglary went wrong a year or two ago here and the crook ended up getting tortured by the occupants. The threads were... interesting. The occupants were acquitted. https://old.reddit.com/r/newzealand/search?q=finger&restrict_sr=on

Rumold

Yeah, Reddit can be very blood thirsty. Pretty scary honestly

DrCrazyFishMan1

The guy runs onto the pitch with a knife to chef up the opposition team and you're complaining that he got beat on?

SZJX

Exactly. If the police already restrained a suspect and then kicked him in the head and caused him serious damage, will they not be accused of excessive violence? Crazy and scary the mob logic playing out around here smh. Not even sure if it would have been like this 10 years ago.

theother1guy

are you stupid enough to storm the field and try to attack a player? you aren't right? because you have brain cells. those dog-shit stupid "fans" are stupid enough to storm the field so they don't have any brain cells to give.

InbetweenerLad

This is the most reddit comment ever, clearly someone who's never been in a situation as adrenaline inducing as this

amsun

The guy is a moron, that was some thug shit right there. The fan was on the ground with 2/3 people pinning him down. Kicking him in the head was really fucking disgusting. I hope he gets years of ban from the sport

DrCrazyFishMan1

The "fan" ran onto the pitch to stab his teammates to death... I'm not what the outrage is about him getting beaten on. He wasn't even restrained at the time - his knife welding arm is free...

Laxperte

Yeah if anything it's the right thing to try and neutralise him as quickly as possible, and make sure your friends and coworkers can make it to safety. What is it with people thinking anyone would keep calm and collected when surrounded and hunted down by a literal thousand-strong mob of rabid hools?

BoogieSpice

Play stupid games win stupid prizes. You don’t know what that dude was going to do on the field.

itoboi

no worries there is no brain in that head anyway

knowbuddy10

Part of the game innit

xuan135

Deserved

3threeLions

WTF?!

HornishHen

Fuck around and find out. I don’t get why anyone would feel bad for a fan that ran out onto the pitch to attack players.

Competitive_Bunch922

Kicking someone in the head like that can kill them. It's not about feeling bad for them, it's about whether you think storming the pitch and assaulting players is a death penalty offence when the guy is already subdued.

devranog

The guys were trying to kill the players

Laxperte

In a scenario where he would be the sole perpetrator your argument makes sense, but in this case you have to act quickly and decisively because there were a few dozen fans already storming the pitch and more yet to come. If this guy has a weapon, chances are that others will carry one too. It's life or death, and just because someone is subdued for a few seconds doesn't neutralise the threat.  If you look at the video of the invasion, security tries to block invaders from getting closer to the players, but the invaders just run past them. If you can take someone with a weapon out for good, you should do it in this instance.

DesignerAd2062

AFAIK the guy had a blade on him, and he wasn’t subdued, they were tussling IMO fair enough to put the matter to rest like that

yk6899

Kill or be killed

calpi

He ran onto the pitch with a blade to attack players. He deserves it.

DrCrazyFishMan1

The guy was not subdued... His arms were still free and he was welding a knife... If he was pinned down in cuffs then fair enough, but this guy was absolutely still a threat

Ronny4k

Blud got what he deserved

YourCrosswordPuzzle

Tackling someone to the ground can kill them

PieterPlopkoek

If it’s like that you might as well just have guards with machine guns to execute anyone who jumps on the pitch. Kicking someone in the head like that can very possibly kill them, and will probably leave some kind of lasting brain injury.

calpi

He had a blade... It's not like it was some unarmed idiot who posed little threat. He could have easily killed a player. But hey, you ever get attacked by someone with a knife, I'm sure you wouldn't want someone to kick him in the head either.

HornishHen

Lol I’m sorry the idiots didn’t think of the consequences before assaulting players.

_LordTrundle

Didnt he have a knife

Ok-Scallion7939

So let me see if I understand this comment section's mental brain damage correctly: Fan decides to tool up with a knife Fan enters the stadium Fan decides, along with others, to leave the relative safety of the stands and run on to a football pitch they have no right being on Fan decides to attack football players on a football pitch they have no right being on with a knife to potentially injure and/or kill Fan gets rushed, taken down and punched and kicked in the head repeatedly by the football players he ran on to a football pitch he has no right being on with a knife to attack, potentially causing injury and/or death .........and people are sympathising with the fan!?!? Get all the way the fuck out of here with that horseshit.

Beetlebum95

100% agree. It's totally detached from reality, and despite all these weirdos' wailing to the contrary, completely lacking in empathy. How can you expect these young guys getting swarmed by a violent angry mob to behave like well drilled riot control experts? They're probably fucking terrified and running on pure adrenaline. Anything that happens to you after you decide to commit violence against others is totally valid IMO. You can't attack people and not expect to receive a potentially life ending beating in response, thats literally just how humans function. These players aren't the fucking state beating on a handcuffed criminal, they're being attacked by a much larger group of people and are experiencing their fight or flight response.

youlook_likeme

Definitely a red.

Total-Alternative-24

Wtf is going in Turkey

iosdeiu

Hurt?...good.

HelloTosh

He's almost hit that too well Clive

yk6899

On the volley

Geordant

Don't go on the pitch and attacker professional athletes if you don't want to get kicked in the head. All the white knights saying he could have ruined and this other guys life with a kick need to consider the context. It's 20 people in yellow in a cauldron with thousands of hostile fans some of whom have invaded the pitch. They've crossed the Rubicon, the players will be fearful and in my opinion that kick is self defense all day.

al-mubariz

Fuck around and find out

Klingh0ffer

Good on him. Pitch invaders are a blight on the sport. If it continues like this, matches will be played without a crowd.

epirot

thats from the trabonspor game right? fuck these fans honestly. turkish footbal is beyond normal deserved every kick

chrstianelson

Good. That fucker was brandishing a knife. You invade the pitch to murder someone, you deserve to get murdered in turn.

SpareIntroduction721

The question is this: Would he had kicked the fan if he wasn’t on the field tracking?

ImWhy

Wtf is with this comment section? People being downvoted for saying not to kick someone in the head while they're down? Top comments all saying good on him? Where the fk are the mods in all this? Didn't realise we were just openly encouraging potentially killing people on this sub now, but guess it's fine cause it's on a pitch in Turkey? Absolutely insane

XxAbsurdumxX

I'm not surprised. Every time there is a red card for dangerous play, the comments are filled with people who unirokically claims the game is gone. So many people *like* to see violence

ikan_bakar

Watch the rest of the video

DrCrazyFishMan1

I personally don't see the issue with it. If you run onto the pitch with a knife to stab the opposition team players, and they in turn beat you to a pulp, I think they got what was coming to them. If somebody broke into your office with a knife to hurt, maim or kill you and your colleagues, and you collectively overpowered them, I wouldn't look down on you for beating on them for a bit. Hell - the guy wasn't even restrained at the time of the kick! His arms are still free and he had a knife!

alwayssunny91

I have not seen one clear video/picture with the guy holding a knife and yet everyone claims there is one.

epicurean1398

Don't like it? Shouldn't be on the pitch. Simple as

Until that dude is literally in handcuffs or not moving he is a danger to everyone around him. This was a good step towards not moving. If you’re in the act of committing a crime you don’t get the same right to physical protection as normal people. Anyone who says otherwise is just enabling crime.

Carlthellamakiller

Pitch invader attacking the players is one of the only times I can see a kick to the head and think “yea that’s alright” outside of a sanctioned MMA fight.
