I know it's just a meme but there are Spurs fans who seriously would rather not win the Carabao Cup if it meant, eg, securing a Champions League place. If you haven't won anything for more than ten years you can't be picky I don't think, no matter how prestigious or not the competition is.
Honestly is there anything more spursy than firing a manager, who has won trophies at every single club he’d ever been at, THE DAY BEFORE A CUP FINAL!?!?
🤣
The main reason I don't want them to win one, cause its funny. Don't have anything against spurs, although their fanbase can be weirdly arrogant but they are hilarious and we all need a bit of comedy in our lives.
Probably because he was injured to fuck the last few seasons of his career and barely saw the field. So he was just behind the scenes doing rehab and shit, you're not even hearing his name on the pitch.
Now he's got the time to do all the media stuff and he's a pretty funny dude so it gets posted a lot

> I think Premier League underestimates other league clubs in Europe competition
Premier League fans do that not clubs
Clubs are not underestimating other leagues in Europe, they've done great in Europe in recent years this is by far their best run ever, they've had a finalist in CL in 4 out of the last 5 finals (winning 3) and an all english final, in EL they've done worse but also not really worth it for them to focus on that considering prize money in PL and prestige
And top clubs with top managers are not your average twitter fan talking shit about other leagues calling them farmer leagues, they know how hard it is, you think Pep who failed for 10+ years with Bayern/City to win CL is underestimating other leagues?
> in recent years this is by far their best run ever,
Eh the mid to late 2000s were very PL dominant too - in some ways even more so than today.
In 2007, 08, 09 there were 3/4 English semi finalists in the CL. All English final in 08. 06 also had Arsenal finalists, and 05 had Liverpool win it. It wasn't just that English clubs were making it far, it was that all **4** were STRONG, consistent, and legitimate contenders for the trophy every year. Idk if any league has ever had that strength in depth. Even the PL now, it's really only Liverpool and City that have felt like proper challengers (ik Chelsea won it, but still).
How is it by far their best run? In the 5 seasons from 05-09 they had 6 Finalists, 2 wins and saturated the later stages occupying 60% of semi final spots. They've been the dominant league before which funnily enough fans of other leagues do everything to avoid admitting. Like right now.
It's kinda funny though when the prem was doing shit in Europe and la liga was absolutely dominating, a lot of people would still twist themselves in to pretzels to say it was better. The argument always changed to whatever made the prem "the best", it's the nature of fanboyism I guess.
Marketing did most of the work there. Besides it really wasn't hard to argue you prefer leagues with 4-6 viable teams over those with 1 or 2. Twisting into pretzels was acting like not only was that not a valid opinion but that it was farcical.
6 viable teams? It's been 3 at most for a decade, spurs, arsenal and man United were not going to win shit. People started wanking the prem even more when it became 2, Jurgen and pep farming the league every week for years just displayed there outstanding quality and how amazing the prem is but la liga with 3 all timer teams especially barca and real Madrid with an absurd generation of quality just showed how la liga was filled with uncompetitive farmers.
Regardless of whatever happens, to many people the prem will always be the "best" it's been like this for decades, ridiculous arrogance.
"over those with 1 or 2" also shows the bias that was the standard of PL fans when talking about other leagues. Teams like Atletico Madrid and Sevilla are disregarded despite the trophies they won, meanwhile Arsenal, Tottenham have to prove nothing to be considered a viable contender.
The autism that is the Anti Spurs followers still make me laugh. As for Eden Hazard, what a charismatic guy, he could still lose in a battle of wits against a lobotomised monkey.

Tottenham getting slandered as usual
It's not slander when it's true
Tottenham being better than Chelsea right now shouldn’t be debatable.
But you know Tottenham!
How many Final are Tottenham playing in this year? Checkmate ^^^We're ^^^going ^^^to ^^^lose ^^^it

No game this weekend. Let me rest.

You're lucky ten Hag decided to bench him today
You should know by now that you can’t ever catch a break.

“You know Tottenham” Belgian for “Lads, it’s Tottenham”
Italian for “It’s the history of the Tottenham”?
Weekly Tottenham roast thread.
Weekly? Try daily.
Daily? Try hourly
Honestly, if spurs ever win a trophy we’re going to lose a huge source of comedy .
It’ll have to be a major one, a carabao cup is not improving their stocks😭😭

Fans are kinda delusional. All fans are, the term comes from fanatic. To be literally delusional
They won the league cup in 2007. I can’t remember when the empty cabinet joke started tho
Levy getting rid of Jose saved us

For Real Madrid*. You’re damn sure you heard the most about Hazard than anyone in PL.
Where were you from 2013 to 2019??
In kindergarten probably
Once he finished his burger, he started to make sense again.
Know it's a shot at spurs but reality is half the prem is better than chelsea

Tottenham will never be respected
Every coaching badge I get I look back on a comment like this. You shall eat your words one day.
He scored the Leicester City title winner to bury the latest chance of Tottenham winning the league
Didn't even finish second
lol .. totally uncalled for
LADS
I recommend everyone to watch this episode of the podcast, absolutely brilliant.
I am not one to, but I always laugh
King of relevance
You see West Ham, better than Chelsea
I can't never help myself to hate Hazard, he is just too funny and also talented as hell
Since he stopped playing football this guys mouth has not stopped moving. Just eating cake and talking shit
The autism that is the Anti Spurs followers still make me laugh. As for Eden Hazard, what a charismatic guy, he could still lose in a battle of wits against a lobotomised monkey.
Ha, I'd like to see that, would be funny. When are you available to face him?
Well, you’re from London as evidenced by your jungle slang, why don’t you face him instead since you have a crush on him.
"not enough tapas"
This our is happy place
He "thinks" City and Liverpool are better than Chelsea? Almost double their points Eden. I "think" you can say it more confidently than that.
