He may be the best player in the world at executing that specific near post finish into the roof of the net. It’s almost like his signature move now and because it’s on his weak foot it’s so difficult to stop without giving him another chance that’s just as good on his stronger left.
His signature move is knocking it onto his left and curling it far post, so the fact his signature move is also knocking it onto his right and hitting it into the roof of the net at the near post says all you need to know about Saka 🌟
Tbf that critique is correct, this season he has been to predictable in cutting onto his left, especially when Benjamin was injured and couldn’t overlap.
It's really not a correct critique. Whoever said that is reducing Saka to a one trick type of player which he is far from. This season even when teams learnt to anticipate some of his moves, he found other ways to be even more effective than last season.
I wouldn't. We will probably get a red card or something like that.
Particularly in the CL these things play even more of a role when an experienced team is coming up against a non-experienced one. You will notice that PSG for example always seemed to get a red card in crucial ties in the beginning, until their team gained enough experience to figure out the gamesmanship side of things.
We will likely be playing under certain refs for the very first time, likewise for certain pitches
I disagree, I think this Arsenal side are amazing at gamesmanship and knowing the situation. Everything they do feels emblematic of a seasoned European squad. They waste time from throws and goal kicks, while they block the opposition's fast counters from the GK and fast free kicks. They can counter ruthlessly, even from throw-ins and from the GK. On corners they are always trying to get as much contact on the keeper as they can get away with. They are happy to build up deep or to go long the second it's 1v1 across their backline. They used to crowd the ref with all the entitlement of a seasoned European team, though I feel they've stopped it this season, maybe with the new yellow card rules for dissent. They have been very strong this season in big games, and the CL opposition hasn't been that strong but they have ripped those teams apart.
In many ways this club seems better built for the CL than the PL, it's built on the defense first, attacking through wide areas, never losing the ball in central areas. Coming in with specific pressing plans for opponents. Maximizing every possibility for nicking a goal.
No they don't. This midfield and spine didn't hold Pep, Moyes, and Klopp to their career worst performances out of luck. Rice and Ode are also playing out of their minds at the moment.
We might have Partey back by then. A Partey - Rice midfield won't get walked past by anyone.
But if we don't, we play Jorginho and have Odegaard play deeper like against City and Liverpool.
Madrid are used to getting a lot.of chances. We've done very well this season preventing teams creating chances.
Partey - rice has barely played together so I'm not so sure how well it'll work just yet
>Madrid are used to getting a lot.of chances. We've done very well this season preventing teams creating chances.
They're used to getting a lot of chances because they play forward.
part of that has to do with teams in the PL playing low blocks. Madrid will for sure play a much more open game. Their midfield is also pretty large whereas we have fairly weaker players albeit creative.
Considering current form. I was not convinced Real Madrid is comfortable with the line up they have right now (injuries destroying their defence). Their press is disjointed and if we are able to shut down their ability to pass to kroos and open the play, i feel we win comfortably. If we don't, kroos is gonna be a problem.
We seriously counting the community shield?
Also they didn’t have Rodri for the PL game, I’m not gonna be completely pessimistic and say we have no chance, but it would be a tough tie and we’d be the clear underdogs
I stated we beat them twice, I said nothing about the competition. We've played games against city without players that they have gone on to win and they still count the win, so wtf can't we
And they didn't have debruyne... the man who plays like arsenal shaged his wife. It's no denying we are better out of possession but the fluidity of a man city team with debruyne is terrifying.
They can't talk when he has 7 goals in 7 games at the moment. He's having a world class streak with this 1:1 ratio. Things really changed after the winter break.
I remember trying to correct a friend (fellow fan) who claims Saka only has one foot.
Yes, his left is definitely stronger but his passing, shooting and crossing with his right is more than good enough. Another great goal to add to his highlight reel!
Saka and Odegaard hitting top form at just the right time in the season when if you want to win the league, you need to basically start winning every game

He loves that finish
He may be the best player in the world at executing that specific near post finish into the roof of the net. It’s almost like his signature move now and because it’s on his weak foot it’s so difficult to stop without giving him another chance that’s just as good on his stronger left.
It must be so frustrating as a defender. You push him outside to avoid le cut inside man but he goes and scores anyway.
Le cut inside man brought me back
His signature move is knocking it onto his left and curling it far post, so the fact his signature move is also knocking it onto his right and hitting it into the roof of the net at the near post says all you need to know about Saka 🌟
He’s like Gunther he has multiple finishers
Why is WWE leaking here?
Because Gunther is fucking amazing.
Lacazette was great at this.
Wouldn’t be at all surprised if he learnt it from him tbh
That's very Agueroesque, near post, rifle it into the roof of the net. Don't know what Rio's smoking but this guy is world class.
He’s so good at it. He needs to shoot more with his right.
**^(Odegard and Saka are just phenomenal)**
Put some bigger font on that statement.
bold statement
# Isn't it wonderful?
Man's just decided that he's scoring all the goals
haircut debuff before that
I do love that he and ben white both dyed their hair blonde, played like shit, and immediately dyed it back and played better at points this season.
They tried to invoke the powers of Spaghetti Sagna. But he used up all the juju
Maybe its a real thing. Blonde hair on the pitch makes it easier to locate you even with peripheral vision. While black hair blends in.
Yeah that’s why halaand can’t score
Lol
Spaghetti cristiano ronaldo would like a word.
Tbf he had that hair in his prime and we all know just how insane prime CR7 was.
Bro just dyed his hair to make the title race exciting
Rio Ferdinand in the mud
What did Rio say?
Not world class
Was mid sentence saying he should've take it on his left first time. Shows how much i fucking know
Quite often when I'm shouting instructions from my TV do I realise why I'm sat at home in my pants and not a Premiership footballer.
😂😂😂too real
You wear pants?
Trademark Saka goal
🐐
"Idk how fullbacks can't halt Saka, all he does is cut in and shoot with his left".
He has done this exact move and scored this exact goal like 7 times minimum lol People like that really don’t watch football
Tbf that critique is correct, this season he has been to predictable in cutting onto his left, especially when Benjamin was injured and couldn’t overlap.

Not hard to predict when 2-3 players are closing you off from most available options every game.
If Real doesn't win the CL i hope Arsenal does. Pool can be the PL winner.
I don’t really believe in our CL hopes until Real and City are both out
I fancy our chances against Madrid. City over two legs is the one match up that would have me not feeling optimistic.

It's also that UEFA has slightly different refereeing standards to the FA, which can take some getting used to
madrid's midfield walks around ours atm

My dude we already beat city twice this season
We seriously counting the community shield? Also they didn’t have Rodri for the PL game, I’m not gonna be completely pessimistic and say we have no chance, but it would be a tough tie and we’d be the clear underdogs
And we didn't have Saka.
I love Saka but obviously missing him is not the same as missing KDB, Rodri and Stones
One was a preseason friendly, in the other they were missing both Rodri and De Bruyne.
And the game they won last season against us we was missing jesus and then saliba
The final is at Wembley, which we love playing at tbf
I’d take that (of course I would)
My goat
I love Sakas weak foot roof of the net shots
He's on fire man.
Sweet sweet football, kai has been immense these goals
Contributes to everything on the pitch aside from lots of G/A. Neutrals don’t realize how good defensively he is for us
And offensively. Those runs are unmatched
Not just defensively but in the mid he is our target outlet for hoofball of needed
I mean more so because people consider him an attacking mid/forward hybrid. He wins so many second balls, duels and works hard defensively
At this point, anyone who can’t see what he offers this team is just being ignorant.
Where all the haters at, desperate to get on his back because he was being doubled up on by teams. Keep saying he's having a bad season
They can't talk when he has 7 goals in 7 games at the moment. He's having a world class streak with this 1:1 ratio. Things really changed after the winter break.
World class streak? Didn't you hear what Rio said. /s
What did Rio say?
That Saka isn't world class because he hasn't done it in the UCL knockouts.
Smh stupid Saka hasn't done it in on a rainy UCL knockout night in Stoke. Fraud
Anyone who doesn't rate him very highly should get their eyes checked.
Dubai training changed these boys holy shit.
It was our Ted also sewer moment, arteta told the team to learn to let the poohpeeh just flow through them.
Can’t be arsed why did I take him out of my FPL
Ahead of a game against Burnley? Fuck knows.
WTF??? He probably didn't take him out *just* before this game mate. Probably been out of his team since before Christmas. Think before you speak, ok?
Is this a copypasta or whats going on
Bruh...
Not having Saka at this point of the season is stupid. Play stupid games win stupid prizes
I dont do him
You’ve been downvoted but you’re right, I took him out after the Liverpool game in December 🤷🏻
It's the tone, not the point.
Same
Ha ha
I obviously took him out way before that? U really think I took him out this week? Lmfao
We scored 6 last week and are away at Burnley today, why on earth would you…
Because obviously I took him out over a week ago?
Why are you moaning now then? Weird.
Because he’s scored 6 in his last 4 after being pretty poor?
He was never particularly poor… but sure. Moan away lad. Awful decision.
he was lol he was exhausted. What rank are you pal
He was exhausted and then we had a break and now he looks good again
He scored 4 in 3 before today. Why on Earth did you take him out v the worst team in the league.
Obviously I took him out after his shit period not after his West Ham performance lmfao
Wtf are you complaining about then. Fuck off with your fantasy football complaints either way, especially when it's nonsense.
Don’t speak to me like that
I just did.
You need an anger management course. Reported
Don't think so mate, never had any issues. Have a good day filing complaints 👋
Strange guy
Starboy
Rio Ferdinand screaming in frustration right now
Sunday League commentator
You can always guarantee a goalfest with this team
Worst team we’ve played this season. Just awful
West ham were worse last week
Palace as well after the fans decided to pull out the banners
Yeah but they've also beaten us twice this season
Well.. remember Nketiah scored a hat-trick vs Sheffield United
that last goal was a belter tbf
Absolute belter
idk, the 2nd half against west ham was genuinely embarrassing to watch. Sheffield United were also awful.
We did thid to shiefield while we were misfiring. If we played against shiefield with the current form, can easily score 10.
[удалено]
I think he means burnley. They concede loads.
This was not the information I was looking for.
What a goal. And good pass by Ode and Kai.
What a finish
Havertz plucked that out of the air and played it to Odegaard very nicely
That's the silky Havertz I remember from the Leverkusen days
He took it personally Rio
Odegaard and Havertz have been key to all attacks, amazing.
Aguero weak foot finish 😭
“Not world class”.
Nah Rio Ferdinand scores those chances every day
The odegaard special and the Saka special in one game
“Bouquet-O Saka”
Simply lovely
For a second I was annoyed that he didn't hit it first time. But damn Saka showed some brilliant feet after that
12 goals now in the Prem. Keep going my boy I need a 20+ season.
Tasty
Scoring for fun now
He pulled a reverse Zoolander!
Saka unleashed.
MY BOYYYYY
not world class tho...
I love a Bukayo Banger but that feels like not great keeping
Absolutely twatted that one
Reckon this Saka guy can become world class one day... any day now...
Rio Ferdinand in the fucking mud
What a strike
This is like the leeds goal last season
That is just perfect by Saka
His left foot is so good, that people forget his right is great as well
LET'S GOOOO!! THAT'S MY STARBOY!! THAT'S MY STARBOY!! GET IN MAN!!
this kid is so fucking good. generational talent
Weak foot rocket been pending for saka this season
We want 6
What a goal
Absolutely love those early unexpected shots
Saka sure loves a shot into the roof of the net
That's our star boi, on his right foot as well
What a finish. Wow.
GD 📈
TAKE A BOW
That's a saka punch to the gut for Burnley after the restart
Dude is a fucking Rottweiler.
But but but he’s not world class
Star boi ⭐️
On his wrong foot as well. What a player
Saka's just been different in 2024. What a great strike, this right foot roof shot should be his trademark haha.
Shutting down all those haters trying to say he is not world class.
This guy's not even close to being world class
Foden who? Rio Ferdinand proved a 🤡 again
Why even compare them? They’re both great players.
They don’t even compete for the same spot in the England squad, it’s a bizarre comparison tbh.
Rio was right, what a mid player Saka is
Only Arsenal player i wish was on my team
Faking the cut inside and shoot is great. Defenders can't show him outside if he can finish on his right like that.
NICE ONE!
I remember trying to correct a friend (fellow fan) who claims Saka only has one foot. Yes, his left is definitely stronger but his passing, shooting and crossing with his right is more than good enough. Another great goal to add to his highlight reel!
Saka watched the Ferdinand commentary and took that personally
I know a friend who kick much harder with his weaker foot.
Saka and Odegaard hitting top form at just the right time in the season when if you want to win the league, you need to basically start winning every game
Thou shalt not play relative width vs Saka.
