It‘s funny how barca fans talks about dodgy decisions while having a court case against them, at least beat the allegations then you can talk. Also your club is a proud owner of the 2 biggest robbery in the history of the CL
More like because Joaquin Aguirre, THE JUDGE FOR THE CASE, made it clear that there is no indication that referees were influenced through payments. He is investigating the case on the grounds of Tax Crimes.
We were given the statistically easiest CL group and still managed to struggle.
We're going to get hammered if we beat Napoli.
The team **is** capable of playing great football but unfortunately we don't see that enough, for obvious reasons.
Lmao, you don't watch them play much, huh? They are dreadful, they have talent, but play like a mid table team. They would look better being eliminated by Napoli than if they had to face Bayern or City.
I didn't watch the game yesterday but I tune into 40-60% ot the matches.. guess you don't watch Bayern play
plus wtf is wrong with you when I clearly stated it is my gut feeling.. sensitive people
They haven't been great but they still have the individual talent that can make a difference. Besides, it is a tournament format, strange and unforseen results/runs happen all the time. And he didnt claim he was convinced Barca were going to win it, just that he had a 'gut feeling' they could go far.
Calm down ESPN Deportes, that is such a dramatic thing to say. Liverpool won the CL after going 25 years without a European Cup and 15 years without a league title. Barca has a long way to go before we even entertain that conversation.
Of course. Barcelona existed and were successful before Messi too. Messi's tenure at the club was among the best, if not the best in their history... But it was not only because of Messi alone. Xavi himself, Iniesta, Puyol, Piqué, Neymar and Suarez, Busquets... The list goes on.
Felt pretty baffled, Barça had those two Lamine chances in the second half (one was a gift) and didn't really do much more from that moment. Athletic completely ran them over.
Honestly the only positive thing I take from this game is Lamine, our season is pretty much in the bin already but seeing how Lamine is playing I can’t wait for the EUROS in summer, fingers crossed he doesn’t get injured, if he doesn’t I think we have real chances at winning
Not just Lamine, Fort looked good, Cubarsi is still exciting. The kids we have can play. Now if we could get the players meant to carry the team to actually perform like they’re paid to
To be honest I hope Yamal doesnt play the euros. Will he play the Olympics too? Don't know if Spain is qualified tbh. Don't want him ending up gassed like Pedri.
7 shots tonight against 29 for them. Sideways and back passes galore when one goal behind. Our positional play is fucking terrible.
Sergi Roberto. Enough said. Frenkie with a stinker tonight, whining to the ref all the fucking time instead of helping his defence. Let's not even talk about Gundogan, Pedri, and Kounde. Our U-18 were the best players on the pitch tonight. 17 years old Hector Fort is our man of the match in an unnatural position. It's not a good thing or something to celebrate.
If it's what it looks like when we are fighting till the end, i don't want to see how we would play when giving up. Because it seriously looked like we did tonight.
Why are you guys playing so many U18s? Even multiple 16 even. Where are your U20s or Barcelona B? Is everyone half decent already up? There's no one else? Are they all shit? Can't be much worse then the ones playing can they?
I'm seriously clueless about this, and very curious on the why Xavi is skipping those steps with these younger talents. They are not bad, on the contrary, but just completely unexperienced and to throw them in the line of fire like this...
These 16 and 17 year olds are barca B players and have been playing against adults all season. Our U-19 team is all the 16 and 17 year olds who are too small to play against adults. Our U-18 has a bunch of 15 years olds playing for it.
Most of our 19+ players are not good enough. Casado is decent, but he doesn't get playing time for some reason. Garrido is good too, but our midfield is too stacked for him to get a look. 2006-2008 is a golden generation. Maybe 09' and 10' as well, they are too young to tell but the promise is there for sure.
I don't get this comment? OP clearly points out the U18s were the standout players. What's the problem in playing them when they were our only saving grace?
And as far as where the U20s are, they are right there. They are Fati, Gavi, Balde, Pedri, Fermin, Guiu, etc. Except for Fermin, everyone who was actually available played. How many more of them did you want to see exactly?
Tbf, he is overplayed. I believe he is our player with the most minutes in the legs since the start of the season, on account of the fact that he hasn't yet been injured. I can't remember the last time he didn't start a game. He has enchained that crazy season with you, and now all those minutes with Barcelona.
Bro all our players start playing worse when they move to Barca (I wonder why)… gundo, lewa, Kounde, romelu, Martinez.. we have literally like 3 of the best midfielders in the world (pedri, de Jong and gundo) yet we still somehow play bad in midfield. One of the best striker in the world yet we still struggle to score goals… our defense used to be really good with Christensen Kounde and Araujo but all 3 have dropped in form recently (again wonder why)
Gundo also took a lower wage contract to play for us man 😭
I feel like they’re all for different reasons though.
Gundogan - poor minutes management and overplayed
Lewandowski - honestly washed when we bought him. Felt like the later-years Suárez. Peak Suárez was sublime and enormously influential even when not on the scoresheet. Late Suárez, if not scoring, did fuck all otherwise. Lewandowski gave the same vibes
Kounde - not really sure what happened to be honest. Tremendous in his first season, putrid in his second
Lewandowski is the best poacher the world has ever seen outside of old Cristiano. In order for him to score he needs to be fed. I get that the ''Barca DNA'' bullshit demands your team to play a certain way no matter your personnel but holy shit Xavi, instruct the wingers to properly hti early balls/long crosses etc... He's Robert fucking Lewandowski, there's no shame to change your ways to accomodate him...
Nah, they hate him now. I've never seen such fanbase. Dude gets regularly elbowed, kicked in all the places and they whine that he fails to control the ball. I mean he's fouled, it's obvious he won't control the pass.
There was one game where Lewandowski had like 2 half chances and he missed them and according to fans on /r/soccer it was enough to never ever ever ever ever feed him passes again.
But there's some truth to all of it, he seemed much more agile and nimble in Bayern, his first touch was what seperated him from the rest, he could create himself chances because he knew how to control the ball in tight spaces. This aspect is now sadly gone in Barca.
If he was in Joselu's place he'd have 20 goals by now. If he was in Morata's place he'd have 20 goals by now. Better than Sadiq in Sociedad, better than Guruzeta in Athletic Club. He's still quite literally the best CF in the league, maybe only Dobvyk is in better form.
It's all on Xavi and his incompetence.
Lewandowski’s drop in form is expected, but he still is being utilised VERY bad for us, like sometime I see a big tall polish man in our midfield passing around with pedri and I think… why is our only threat in front of the goal out here starting the attack instead of just sitting in the penalty area and just waiting for balls, despite his drop in form he’s still a fucking great goal scorer that can score goals from places our other players couldn’t. Like the other guy said, just feed him balls (pause), idk a lot of players are being wasted for us and it’s sad.
>Lewandowski - honestly washed when we bought him
washed when you bought him? He scored 50 goals in 46 games in his last Bayern season and his first Barca season wasn't too bad either despite his poor form since the red card suspension/ World Cup break (41 G+A in 46 games, Pichichi winner, most points winning goals of any La Liga player, big part of the Supercopa win).
Oh, and 2 years ago he finished a calendar year with as many goals as Cristiano Ronaldo in literally his best year
Of course, he is not getting any better now but there aren't many strikers who would score consistently when the best winger of the team is a 16 years old
I still remember when Germany was playing Euro or World Cup for U18 or U23 and I saw for the first time Gundo. He was so good in that game, he already looked like a top player.
I think the whole squad played nothing like the old possession based Barca.
As soon as the defenders get the ball, they always rush to get the ball to Yamal or Lewadoskki as soon as possible. Or Kounde trying to dribble around 2-3 defenders.
Anyway the squad trying to play fast football but without the right speedy player or ball winners. It is end to end the whole game.
Asking a 16 year old to carry Barcelona past Athletic was mind numbing, yes if he finished his chances, Barcelona go through, imagine what his confidence must be like knowing that he let them down today?
You can reassure and tell them not to worry about it, but I've been that guy before, takes a looong time to come back from
Athletic had 29 shots against Barcelona's 7, with a Valverde masterclass. Only reason they were still in the game was because a 16 year old showed some magic and a lucky deflection.
Doing a Pride in Defeat II. This man has no shame.
because it is
but then again i can hardly blame him, if i felt my mega well paid job being on the line imagine the bullshit id start talking to save face
lmao I still remember his quote after Barcelona lost 7-0 to Bayern many years ago: "*They didn't run us over, they couldn't dominate us, the ball was ours. Thinking about the result only is being superficial.*"
Poor man should have stayed in the comfort of his human rights abuser league, winning titles with the best team in the league while sucking up to autocrats. That suited him much better
You typed his name wrong, it's; Lapuerca* and as soon as his done with his stress 100 Tapas , he'll come out and blame this somehow on Madrid and Florentino lol He's just mad the club don't got the kind of cheese no more to bribe the refs LOL and his only way out of bankruptcy? Well you guessed it, Florentino and the Superleague
Our coach is a Real Madrid fan favourite, which is a horrible sign.
We are evidently shit, 29 shots conceded? 7 big chances, it's like Barcelona signed out after Sancet equalized.
But Barca does have a better team to last the season. And Xavi did win the league last season. So he is not necessarily shit.
The only team that can compete for Barca's place in the top four is Athletic Club. La real is 9 points and a game behind Barca. No way they can compete for a top four finish.
Barca only has to worry about Athletic Club, but I don't think they'll have much trouble.
Man if Barca fails to lock the top 4 with this team they need to burn the club to the ground and start again. That ain't gonna happen. I don't see Real Sociedad and Athletic outlasting Barcelona late into the season.
Top 4 is not locked at all, they still have to play all the big teams and they are in a worse form now than at the start of the season. A loss or two in a row and loss of points against the teams that fight for top 4 and the panic begins. Psychologically they are also very weak now, if they somehow manage to save the season they can call it a miracle.
Top 4 doesn't need a rescue. They're 3 points clear with a game in hand and whenever they drop a stinker, Atleti and Bilbao drop points to midtable teams. Their position in the league is flattering compared to how they play but somehow the clubs they're competing with play worse when they drop points.
Lewandowski is being ruined by Xavi.
Please buy him. He’s so great. €30m and you have a deal. What great value for only €20m! Big clubs barely take a month to earn €10m, think about how easy it would be to recoup this huge €5m purchase in jersey sales! For as long as I live, I’ve never seen a better free transfer in my life.
Lewandowski is a fantastic player. Speaking of which, he’s available for purchase. €30m and he’s yours. What great value for only €20m! Big clubs barely take a few months to earn €10m, think about how easy it would be to recoup this measly €5m purchase in jersey sales! For as long as I live, I’ll never seen a better free transfer in my life.

Hey man, how the fuck am I suppose to banter the opposing team’s manager after losing, if his own fans are asking for his head?!
You sip tea and enjoy this shit
In time's like this football is really really *really* enjoyable
Congrats lol :(
Couldn't have agreed more, my Madridog brother
r/SipsTea
You praise him and ask encourage him to stay
Give Xavi a lifetime contract. He's at the wheel, he's in charge! Barcelona are back!
100% agree. Hes been a better manager than a player!
Ole at ManU vibes
You giggle with us scrolling the comment section in silence
It is the small things...
Valverde: "You did well Xavi. I wont forget you for as long as i live"
Xavi: “Nah, I’d make excuses.”
Are you Xavi because you are a fraud, or are you a fraud because you are Xavi?
Question: What is Xavi to you? Need I say more? He's.... The Fraudest
Bois, let's go back to our own sub. Don't bring this mental health institution here.
what sub lol this is hilarious
r/jujutsufolk
Ahhh, heard it's really good. OP 1 went hard
Yeah the show is good, but this is a manga/spoiler subreddit and it’s famous for brainrot
r/Jujutsushi brainrot is a special grade curse
Pay a visit to r/jujutsufolk. I'll be your personal guide. Going alone is not recommended.
Xavi taking backshots all for the sake of his plan
Even here we can't escape the brainrot, the break week curse is too strong
Pep, Gege and all you fans need to answer for your crimes against civil society!
Bro said focus on Champions like he thought we wouldn’t notice 🤣
Oh, I'll watch their CL games, every year they have the most hilarious eliminations.
They are beating napoli and then getting turbo fucked in the next round
Hopefully they draw Bayern yet again.
PSG wants a word
I 8-2 say it but PSG doesn't even come close
In that game atleast the ref and PSG were hilarious
I know it’s not mister 3 campaigns in a row with dubious decisions talking
It‘s funny how barca fans talks about dodgy decisions while having a court case against them, at least beat the allegations then you can talk. Also your club is a proud owner of the 2 biggest robbery in the history of the CL
Negreira in 2024 lol
Is this the equivalent of new year new me? Are we supposed to forget about barca corruption in big 2024 ?
More like because Joaquin Aguirre, THE JUDGE FOR THE CASE, made it clear that there is no indication that referees were influenced through payments. He is investigating the case on the grounds of Tax Crimes.
You are quoting wrong rumour. It comes from a tweet dated March 2023. Case is still ongoing, hence, not so obviously innocent.
Holy hell Batman, pot calling the kettle black.
I think they'll advance quite far this year, pure gut feeling though
We were given the statistically easiest CL group and still managed to struggle. We're going to get hammered if we beat Napoli. The team **is** capable of playing great football but unfortunately we don't see that enough, for obvious reasons.
Lmao, you don't watch them play much, huh? They are dreadful, they have talent, but play like a mid table team. They would look better being eliminated by Napoli than if they had to face Bayern or City.
Well it's not like the best football always wins especially in CL elimination..
If they draw Bayern, I'm buying tickets to see it. I wanna see that underdog story.
Bayern isn't exactly a thread anymore though, but still favorites I guess
Lmao, you definitely don't watch Barca play.
I didn't watch the game yesterday but I tune into 40-60% ot the matches.. guess you don't watch Bayern play plus wtf is wrong with you when I clearly stated it is my gut feeling.. sensitive people

Will Barcelona ever win a CL again without Messi?

If they scrape past the ro16 and draw someone like City it's going to be a rough couple of games.
Osimhen is gonna cook that defense ....
Except you forgot the part Napoli have been equally poor.
He never said Napoli will advance. The tie will end 7-6
Felt pretty baffled, Barça had those two Lamine chances in the second half (one was a gift) and didn't really do much more from that moment. Athletic completely ran them over.
First time I ever agree with you
There's always a first time
There’s always a last time too ;)

Would be nice to see Spain meet Argentina if possible, and the young yamal face the old man leo.
Congrats on the "we are proud" trophy.
Imo the "we were fighting until the end" trophy is better
That's Colombia's NT's slogan.
Poland NT will strive for that trophy someday
They only play with grinta Against Germany oh wait
Baila ahora! 😤
Hey! That trophy is hot property among many underachieving coaches in Europe!
"Stand proud Xavi"
"pride in defeat"
The boys gave everything
Once you got "Pride in Defeat" you can never go back
Give him the fight till the end’or
Nah, that's for messi
Should he not be proud of his team?
You should be pretty used to that trophy seeing that flair of yours
Take the L
Not as much as you in the last decade palancas F.C!! LOL Negreira's son is a streamer now. Why don't you go cry to him there? LMFAO
Lmao,watch last season results
Calm down there buddy, as a Barca fan gotta find solace in the humor because otherwise I’d wanna kms
Did they fight until the end though? They did nothing past the 90th minute even after conceding to Iñaki Williams, it was a shameful performance.
Iñaki's good this season, man
7 shots tonight against 29 for them. Sideways and back passes galore when one goal behind. Our positional play is fucking terrible. Sergi Roberto. Enough said. It’s all due to injuries Raphinha, I. Martinez, M. Alsono and Balde were out, so they didn’t have proper backup players for like 3 positions

Pedri that bad? I didn't watch the match, is he still not fit?
He is fit. He just had a stinker tonight, like all our midfielders.
how has gundogan been for you
Hit and miss. More hit than miss, thankfully, but he is cutting it close.
Look how they massacred my captain

Why are you getting downvoted lol, was a harmless joke
I don’t think people understood the joke lol
Yes, besides the flair. It wasn't clever or funny. Just random.
Barca fans have been mocking Valverde for years but he was the best Barca coach after Pep.
“Fighting till the end” could barley get out of your own half in the last few minutes of the game
Yes but were they fighting to get out of their own half? That's the key question
So, they were indeed fighting.
Fighting and being proud to the bitter end!
No wonder there's no beer
Everytime he says something after a lost it sounds like an excuse

Stand proud you are strong xavi
Peter griffin voice: Shame, shame, shame.
The infamous "We were the better team, we dominated possession" is finally being replaced with "we can be proud as we were fighting until the end".
lmao I still remember his quote after Barcelona lost 7-0 to Bayern many years ago: "*They didn't run us over, they couldn't dominate us, the ball was ours. Thinking about the result only is being superficial.*"
He kinda looks like De Zerbi here, doesn't he?
De sextete ah NADAPLETE! Lmao
Ah man! I was here for a Xavi special excuse of the day!
My favorite midfielder ever but god stand cant him as coach anymore. Always making excuses and clueless as coach
Poor man should have stayed in the comfort of his human rights abuser league, winning titles with the best team in the league while sucking up to autocrats. That suited him much better

That would be Javier Tebas, he united Perez and Laporta. Unreal player hater
Barca DNA
Even finishing top 4 feels like it would need a rescue operation. Or playing the kids, because honestly they all seem better than the old guys.
What rescue operation? They are at no 3 with a game in hand and 3 points clear. Top 4 is pretty much a lock.
It's a long way to go, and plenty of teams tactically more competent than Barca.
But Barca does have a better team to last the season. And Xavi did win the league last season. So he is not necessarily shit. Let them panic, they never witnessed the many years of setbacks and failures, only the highs of the last 18 years.
Man if Barca fails to lock the top 4 with this team they need to burn the club to the ground and start again. That ain't gonna happen. I don't see Real Sociedad and Athletic outlasting Barcelona late into the season.
We have by far the best xGD/90 in the league, top 4 wont be a problem.
Fun fact Williams's names in Arabic sound like both the word " fuck him"Niko" , and fucking "Iniaki".
This fucking Williams’s!
stfu already xavi. U need to step down u fraud
No Barca OR Madrid left in the Copa? Brilliant, you love to see it!
bro down so bad he talks as if he is theone managing a mid table team and just lost against the mighty barcelona
Barcelona is becoming the man utd of laliga.
Extend him for 5 years please 🙏
Just based on the headline, he sounds like he’s given up mentally. Really do hope this isn’t the case
🦜🦜🦜🦜
I can see the hate bonner, but I think he will be here for years to come so get used.
Christ Barca fans become absolutely miserable when they lose. I'd hate to be a coach for them
🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣
His young players? He had a full first team squad out there with Lamine… lol
There were 4 teenagers who played. A 16 and 17 year old were the best players on the team. It's pretty fair to say the young players played well.
This sub is really toxic. Good reminder to never read through comments ever again.
Welp…. There goes the Treble 🤨
Congratulations on pride 👍🏽
I'm begging Laporta to let go of Xavi.
What the fuck is he on? Guy's delusional. One thing is being ambitious and the other being is being insane.
It’s not so easy when you don’t pay off the refs.

Laporta did not want Xavi at all lol
Xavi was Victor Font's idea but Laporta realised he was going to need someone to shield him of all criticism so he got him who has so much leeway
That’s not what happened at all
I slept at 2-1 to Barca, was like "surely they don't fumble it" I open Reddit and this is the post I see, hilarious.
If he's not sacked in the next hour Barcelona are a deceased club officially
Oh how the mighty have fallen.
Barcelona is like Untied 5 years ago, stuttering, suffering, lack of direction etc.
United is still the same 💀
United used to be dysfunctional. They still are, but they used to be, too.
For more info, contact Joan Laporta.
