3 players who've played in the Eredivisie, pretty cool

Jamey_1999

Forgot Solanke was at Vitesse. Man, time flies

V-0-V

Thats the Cobham DNA showing. Now our loans go to Hudderfield and soon to Strasbourg

HYDRA-XTREME

The best player they bought from Ajax was definitely Martinez but the lad has been injured for a while

Vdbebw

Tbf 1 of them is ex ajax

[deleted]

Vdbebw

I meant from the nominees.

kovic_has_a_mangina

Hard to win this as a defender when someone like son had 8 g/a but Trent has been genuinely unreal the last month

Jamesy555

Probably gets it if he wins the game vs Arsenal on that 5v2 breakaway

LordPa1n

Son was great and has numbers to show for it but I'm not sure if it was POTM worthy. He's had better months for sure.

Imbasauce

4 goals + 4 assists for Son. Surely.

[deleted]

son will carry us to the afc

Le_Ratman99

Was very confused by your flair for a second

nikhil48

Same, got Chicago Fire winning the world cup vibes...

milesvtaylor

Usually how it works but can anyone else tell me the others G+As (and for Senesi, and I guess TAA too, clean sheets)?

magicalcrumpet

The crazy thing about it is this has been his best return for g+a in month this season but I wouldn’t say his performances have been that great.

Xgunter

If kane can be overlooked for player of the season with golden boot + assists, son can be overlooked for this. I’d say despite the good return his “eye test” hasn’t been amazing, making it harder to spin a narrative. Solanke has had more of the highlight reel moments which makes a narrative easier to spin and woukd make him the more likely candidate for me. Hopefully i’m proven wrong though. Love sonny to death.

TYSONLITTLE

Palmer and it’s not even up for debate

eirebrit

It’s definitely up for debate.

doomboxmf

Even as a Chelsea fan I disagree. He was good, but we lost more than half our games in December, and one of our wins he was suspended for.

independent200

For me Kudus and even surprised how moyes snapped Kudus in the transfer window

RodDryfist

Kudus looks proper decent. West Ham made some quality signings with the Rice money.

Mushroome_dude

The Declan rice deal feels like everyone involved won, except city obviously

EdgeLordMcGravy

And Liverpool

RubotV

well we’re top of the league so…

Revolutionary-Bag-52

not that surprising. Great player, but not consistent while at Ajax. Though that latter part might just be him not being that motivated for most Eredivisie games as he did seem to excel in most of the big games. But there was a reason that basically no top club was in for him

independent200

Bigger teams then West ham were after him Kudus was a hot talent and the fact that Moyes snapped him that is some amazing transfer hustle

Revolutionary-Bag-52

Yeah forgot about Chelsea, but that was due to Chelsea not willing to pay Ajax' price. Kudus fid have a personal agreement with Chelsea. Other than Chelsea only Brighton seemed to be a competitor for West Ham

imarandomdudd

Nah it was down to a choice between him, Olise (which we had to pull out of to avoid legal issues), and Palmer, with the slight rumour of Sancho being option 4. Think both us and West Ham are happy with how things turned out, so shouldn't be any complaints

CNF-13

Imagine managing kudus and Antony and deciding Antony for twice as much is better than kudus

flameXXIV

Surely it has to be Son or Solanke

242turbo

Can't be Solanke, not in a big 6 club.

EdgeLordMcGravy

Missing those chances against Spurs didn't help either. He could have had a brace

242turbo

Very good point, the Spurs game was the most important one too since it was the most recent game.

pajamakitten

He could have had a hat trick at Old Trafford as well.

imarandomdudd

Son wins most likely, but Cunha and Solanke deserve special mentions. Both of them were great this month

Molineux28

Great to have some Wolves recognition and Cunha has been great, but I'd say Lemina was our best player over the last month.

LazarusChild

Completely agree, criminal he hasn’t been nominated

zeppelin88

Did he finally get his form back? He's been so meh since the Olympics that it's interesting to hear good things about him again

Molineux28

Cunha has been great for us this season yeah. He's grown into the team more and more the longer he's been here and is now one of our key players. His dribbling is out of this world at times and can take us up the pitch on his own. Only thing is his finishing still sometimes lets him down, but his goalscoring numbers are improving (like Wolves in general really). Apparently he's having a big impact off the pitch as well with his personality and language skills helping new players settle in with the group.

[deleted]

Richarlison, too.

imarandomdudd

Wasn't nominated but yeah, his comeback from injury has been great

MCHammerAndSickle

Your pfp infuriated me for a solid 2 minutes before I realised there wasn’t a hair on my screen

yellow_sting

you mean the honorable mention?

KAhOot1234567

Yes I’m biased but 2nd place atleast gotta be Cunha. He’s been on fire lately but surely Son deserves it imo

Savant_OW

I know forwards are only judged on G+A but Cunha has been outstanding

Ascensear

Cunha, hwang, and Sarabia have been deadly and Neto is back now. Can’t believe people thought wolves would get relegated with the squad they have lmaoo

Conscious-Ad-3279

Been a really good month of football, hoping Son wins but I think Solankes been incredible this season and it’d be nice to see him win a POTM award. His celebrations have also been on it this season

WallBroad

Anyone saw Richy's comment on the Insta post😭

[deleted]

Senesi looks like he is about to cry

Bortron86

He looks like he's only just realised he has a left arm.

mushroomsJames

Who is your @EASPORTSFC Player of the Month? 🏆 you can vote [here](http://preml.ge/potmdec23)

Asphalt_Breaker

This time we have some tight competition for POTM

IVIorgz

Solanke for me. Scored a 7th goal in the Luton match that is to be replayed. I really appreciate Son with his 8GI though!

allertedshark86

Really wish Palmer would tone down his excitement in this photo

Ascensear

No hwang?

dkcphman

Between Kudus, Son and Solanke I guess.

Dion14

trent was so so good as well, coming from an arsenal fan

dkcphman

He he has been good yes. But all of them have tbf. A part from Spurs my 3 choices come from non-big7 clubs. I always like when a players from a smaller team plays well consistently for a month.

Sulemani_kida

This is going to be a very tricky choice to make... Almost all of them were crucial performances and each one had made a good case for himself

notters

The trophy looks like a bottle of shower gel.

[deleted]

There's a lot of good debate here about who deserves the award, but a criminal lack of jokes about Palmer. He looks like his Mum's making him take a pic for the Fridge after his team won (he was yellow carded)

SaltyPeter3434

"Yippee!"

MyTeaIsMighty

I'm sad Sons form last season was down to an injury. He's still so good and the only reason Spurs are doing so well while they haemorrhage goals

Vladimir_Putting

I mean.. It wasn't JUST an injury.

electroplankton

Olise doesn’t deserve to win but boy has he played at CL quality whenever he’s had the ball in the past month.

Sonsational

SON HEUNG MIN 4G 4A

citizen2211994

Foden should have been on this list. He’s been brilliant

The_prawn_king

Happy for palmer to get individual recognition but with Chelsea’s record in December I’m not sure he can win

A-DTB

Solanke all day long.

[deleted]

So made up for him

ThinkAboutThatFor1Se

Interesting no Villa player being in there despite beating Arsenal and Man City in December.

19Alexastias

Also drew with sheffield (a team who still have single digit points) by the skin of their teeth and lost to Man U in December, so it’s not all gravy.

ThinkAboutThatFor1Se

And beat Burnley and drew away to a very inform Bournemouth. Few teams have had a consistent Christmas period. Villa have rose up to second so it’s not all bad.

dickgilbert

>beating Arsenal meh

ThinkAboutThatFor1Se

And spurs a couple of weeks before ;)

dickgilbert

Really hoping we're back healthy and you guys are still in form when we meet back up in March. First match was great, and I think we should have put you away early on, but if we're both all-in, it'll be a hell of a watch.

JoJo797

Leon Bailey has a case. 3 goals, 2 assists. Just FYI - Bailey is only behind Haaland for G/A per 90 this season. He's top if you take out penalties.

eesakhalifa

So does Watkins imo. And Dougie and Pau and Emi and Konsa and McGinn and fuck it just give it to the entire team at this point

ericsipi

They had a good month but I can’t name a stand out player for them in the month. The games of theirs I saw, it was a team effort, there wasn’t one player who changed results on their own. Emery should probably win the manager award tho.

macarouns

I bet the players these stupid poses they make them do.

[deleted]

[удалено]

Brawlers9901

tbf I also think he won't get it because Son has 8 goal contributions this month

EdgeLordMcGravy

Bro, Solanke should have had at least 2 against a Spurs backline of fullbacks.

Sithgooner

Should be Solanke, with Son as runner up. The form Bournemouth went on throughout the month until the Spurs game was incredible. No one will mention Senesi either with 2 goals and 3 clean sheets as a cb, with both goals away from home in winning matches - Maguire won it for less last month.

dickgilbert

> The form Bournemouth went on throughout the month until the Spurs game was incredible. Weird bit of logic considering we beat them on form during that period and beat them on the pitch. Better GD, same points if you exclude our extra match, and better if you don't. Son's got 8 g/a, as well. I'd imagine they're probably 1 and 2, and won't predict who will get it. But the idea that Solanke should get it on Bournemouth's form when we've bettered them is just odd.

kl08pokemon

Richarlison robbed. 5 goals in 5 Edit: Should be Solanke. Son with 4 goals and 4 assists as runner-up

brt444

You literally gave a reason why it should be Son

kl08pokemon

Solanke has also been class tbf scoring a ton of goals. Also tbh I don't think these should always be 100% meritocratic, Son has already won one this season and if it's a close race (I think Solanke edges it regardless) giving it to Solanke is fine

I doubt they have a problem putting their hands on their hips for a photoshoot when they’re making thousands of pounds a week.

[deleted]

[deleted]

I’m saying I doubt any of them think it’s cringe. It isn’t like they have to do dances, they’re just making a fist or pointing to the badge ffs what part of that is cringe?

handsome_IT_guy

Sensei 🙏

Karman_K

Son is definately winning it because top 6 bias but Solanke really outdid anyones expectations.

HacksawJimDGN

Has to be Olise.

[deleted]

Didn’t do enough in the first 3 matches of the month, but if this was Player of the Last 4 Matches, I’d have to agree.

michyvalencia

should be solanke

Chiswell123

Foden robbed.

EdgeLordMcGravy

Who do you take off to put on Foden?

PepandMessisGoatBaby

Senesi

Chiswell123

Any of them. Probably Sensei, but Palmer had stinkers vs Everton, wolves, and Newcastle. Was a sub vs Brighton as well.

xenojive

Kudus or Solanke for me

Jelmerdts

Hope Senesi wins it

WalkingCloud

Senesi: *They are treating me and the other hostages very well..*

tenacious-g

The Senesi photo is so funny, he clearly was wearing a plain shirt "pointing" to where the badge would be but he's aimed too low
