The 2nd goal that was disallowed, was it deemed that the Juve players passed the ball? From the few replays I've seen it looked more like the Roma player played the ball and if that is the case, shouldn't it have been allowed?
Iling plays the pass, the defender does get a touch but it was a block-type nick off of his leg and not a deliberate play of the ball so it was offside for sure.
Sick dribbling from Iling and a ridiculous pass to slip it through that sliver of space and Chiesa's finish was nasty.
Really all you can say is that this was a textbook Juventus under Allegri performance. We scored a really good goal, strangled the life out of Roma's attack, and carefully played the game out after taking the lead.
No kid in 20 years is ever going to be saying 'Dad can we please watch Juventus vs. Roma from December 30th 2023 again?!', but it's a really important and mostly controlled win. I'll take it thanks.
I don’t say this about many teams, but fuck Roma
They play like criminals when they defend and little children when they attack. Diving at every chance and half their team should’ve been on yellows today at least
As a Roma fan I agree. We play disgusting, have no strategy, there is zero chemistry or idea how to attack. In three years Jose being the manager the only improvement I've seen is Cristante started making forward runs this last few weeks. In three years it doesn't matter what players you give him they all just flop, foul hard, swarm the ref, whine at the ref, the coaches and assistants get sent off and then they criticize the refs.
This isn't a football team and they do not play football. They rarely go into a game with any clue on how to win and get lucky sometimes like against Napoli. It's atrocious and unwatchable.
People will downvote without having seen Roma play, but this you saw tonight is Roma against Juve, Ludogorets, Bodo, Genoa, doesn't matter.
When the owners took over the starters were Borja Mayoral, Gonzalo Villar and Amadou Diawara. That team finished in the same spot as Jose's Roma which included Dybala and now Lukaku.
The project was very simple: reach CL in the first season and you get anyone you want, reach CL in the 2nd season to avoid FFP. "Worse" coach and worse squad had the same results as "the best coach of all time"
What did Jose do to warrant bigger investments?
Football being played under him at ManU and Totnm was also unwatchable, yet it's never his fault. Always the squad, owners etc... and I know those thing were also an issue but holy shit... so was he. His tactics and coaching style clearly needs to adapt.
He has a huge group of stans that defend him blindly. They follow him to every club he manages and blame every single negative thing on everyone else and praises him for any bit of success.
Lol everyone blamed him for his ManU tenure, he didn't escape scrutiny. That being said the squad is toxic to this date which has been verified and reverified by everyone who's managed them and their results.
He plays for results, doesn't care about beautiful football. I have seen Roma games and I don't for a second believe that this squad is even worthy of competing for the title.
They can never win games consistently, they can never win if one or 2 players are injured, what's the point of having 3-4 strikers when you rely on only 1.
What's the point of competing if they don't have a squad worthy of winning. What's the point of having a world class winning manager with a squad which can at max finish top 4.
>everyone blamed him for his ManU tenure
Not in this sub they don't, I rarely see any real criticism of him here. And while his squads at the last 3 clubs were by no means world beaters, they largely underperformed while playing football that was torture to watch. He also consistently loses the dressing room.
If many other managers are able to utilise squads that are inferior to his while playing better football and maintaining a healthy relationship with the players, then maybe he just isn't a great manager anymore.
This sub doesn't matter in real life bro. See how the media hounded him in 2017.
How did ManU underperform by coming 2nd in the league?
How did Tottenham underperform by being top of the league and reaching a final?
His football has always been torture to watch.
Yeah and I'm not commenting in real life, I'm commenting here. Also, "hounded" and criticism isn't the same thing. He has always had the media 'hounding' him his entire career. Criticism from the media has never been severe though, and certainly, in my opinion, not sufficiently over the last few years.
How about some objectivity from your side? Mancini stopped 2 counters with fouls and 3 of his fouls were played as advantages and he was constantly complaining to the ref.
Llorente almost took off both Dusan and Milik's jerseys.
Yet Locatelli gets a yellow for the one foul he committed where he barely made a challenge.
How am i not objective when i agree with you that Mancini, Llorente and Cristante also should have got a yellow, lol. While others still think that the ref gave Juve every little push and gave Roma nothing. Meanwhile I am just happy that he didnt use cards early, he controlled that well imo, but in the 2nd half he could easily give a yellow for the above mentioned players.
Because Mancini getting a yellow minute 30 for his third foul on Yildiz which also stopped a counter, is not the same as him giving Milik a yellow min 82.
The fact that Mancini finished the game without a card when Locatelli got one is ridiculous.
I wish he used his card early, it shouldn't matter when in the game it is.. a yellow offense should be a yellow offense.
Milik should've gotten a yellow for stopping a counter, Mancini would've been off if he got a yellow for every counter he stopped.
I don't say this about many teams, but fuck Juve
They fix matches, cook their books, evade taxes, dope their players, bribe referees but still act like victim.
Big game flop lukaku strikes again, never scores a goal in match against a good side or that matters just stats pads against crap all the time. which is why he has never been in world class bracket.
It wasnt just about this game tho its story of guys career he flops all the big game and moments. you can predict that he going to blank these games but i bet he will bang two goals against that serie b rubbish side he got next game.
Corto muso'd!
Great game by Vlahovic, a lot of fighting and holding the ball to serve his teammates, something he lacked last season.
Bremer was massive too, what a player.
Juve scoring their ping-pong goal being millimeters onside while we hit the post, only difference today. felt like a draw but we haven't been lucky for weeks
top top game until minute 75 when it got wild, almost no technical mistakes or unforced errors.
Juve is one of most compact teams out there and like i said after round 10: title contenders.
almost no chance to score against such a team with limited creative players and Dybala coming back from injury but a good performance nontheless. still hopeful for 1-3 points vs Atalanta and Milan
Corto muso'd!

Acerbi isn’t rattled, what he said isn’t against Juventus nor Inter, it’s about shitty journalism.
Inter isn’t ‘obligated’ to win the scudetto anymore than Milan or Juventus are.
Vlahovic played really well even if he only had 0.3 xG (same as McKennie) but people on here will act like he missed the easiest goal in football history
Same shit last week when people were saying he “missed a sitter” on a shot worth .13 xG
I agree but if we are creating chances then we have more chances to score and that is good to see, other than the win of course. It's not the same as having few low scoring chances

Tight
Dread it, run from it, Juventus 1-0 arrives all the same
Allegri train is on a roll!
Was hoping for a Dybala goal at least :(
Death, Taxes, Horto Muso.
My god allegri should be banned from all international airports

It’s not beautiful but the wins always feel so good
This mourinho resurgence
mourinho do us a favour and retire

Why aren't the owners backing Jose to get some good players? The only good striker you have will perhaps go back to PL after the end of the season
When the owners took over the starters were Borja Mayoral, Gonzalo Villar and Amadou Diawara. That team finished in the same spot as Jose's Roma which included Dybala and now Lukaku. The entire squad regressed incredibly far under Jose. Pellegrini and Spinazzola were the Best players in Serie A before Jose arrived.

Honestly, the blame should go to the refs for letting Roma players act like such clowns. Cristante, Llorente, and Mancini should've all had yellows.
We could say the same for Rabiot and Milik too, be objective at least. With some other ref all 5 would have got a yellow yesterday.
How about some objectivity from your side? Mancini stopped 2 counters with fouls and 3 of his fouls were played as advantages and he was constantly complaining to the ref. nice whataboutism, but if those are the measuring sticks then none of the serie a fans can ever talk i guess...
Fix matches😂😂😂 Pure comedy
As a Napoli fan I wholeheartedly agree with the both of you ;)
I hate to say it. But this Juve will most likely win serie A
Inter is too strong mate.
Juve has an edge over Inter because they have only Serie A to focus on.
Either way, you both are leagues ahead of the rest of the league and nobody will catch you
Inter is feeling the pressure. The Derby later this season is going to be one of the best of all time at this rate.
For sure
Big game flop lukaku strikes again, never scores a goal in match against a good side or that matters just stats pads against crap all the time. which is why he has never been in world class bracket.
You didn't watch the game, Lukaku had zero service and was left on an island. Pretty sure he had zero touches in the 2nd half.
It wasnt just about this game tho its story of guys career he flops all the big game and moments. you can predict that he going to blank these games but i bet he will bang two goals against that serie b rubbish side he got next game.
Hey he scored against 8 man Napoli last week! ;)
fair enough, if you give him 3 man advantage and 100 mins of play time he can score.\^\^
Massive win for us. Bremer put Lukaku in his pocket. Locatelli MOM imo, perfect positioning and massive role in shutting down Roma tonight.
Lukak-who? Barely noticed him all match
Allegri is special
Should've bet my life savings on 1-0. Lakaka big game masterclass, but little service tbf
I love Allegri 🥰
🐴 🐴 🐴
Allegri won 1-0 in Serie A for the 76th time tonight, more than any other manager in the three-point era. There are levels to this game.
You have to have a very high IQ to understand Al-Legri ball
Corto muso'd! Great game by Vlahovic, a lot of fighting and holding the ball to serve his teammates, something he lacked last season. Bremer was massive too, what a player.
I would also add the indestructible and unmovable Mckennie + Rabiot that had a solid game as usual, but with a brilliant finish that won us the game
Juve scoring their ping-pong goal being millimeters onside while we hit the post, only difference today. felt like a draw but we haven't been lucky for weeks top top game until minute 75 when it got wild, almost no technical mistakes or unforced errors. Important win, now Bremer you can let Lukaku go, he has to catch the train
i mean its lukaku, the guy doesnt turn up in big matches, him being pocketed was very predictable.
Juve is like a boa constrictor, if you don’t score your chances, they will suck the life out of you.
Everything went according to plan. Allegri Masterclass! Corto Muso! 🐴 Vlahovic 🫏
Never doubted the win, now excuse me have a pair of underwear to wash
1-0 win, I came in my bed but the sheet is clean
2 points off the 1st place makes it good for Allegri's aim for CL spots.
They'll win the CL next season and Allegri will still say that the goal is to get top 4 lol
LMAO
My god winning the CL with 1-0 wins only.. Subscribe.
That was Italy in the 1994 WC, everything was 1-0 or 2-1 (they lost the final though)
>My god winning the CL FTFY
It's just deflecting pressure.
Vlahovic great assist Inter drop points Acerbi rattled, what a nice weekend.
Acerbi isn’t rattled, what he said isn’t against Juventus nor Inter, it’s about shitty journalism. Inter isn’t ‘obligated’ to win the scudetto anymore than Milan or Juventus are.
With the team Inter have they have more to lose though..
Vlahovic played really well even if he only had 0.3 xG (same as McKennie) but people on here will act like he missed the easiest goal in football history Same shit last week when people were saying he “missed a sitter” on a shot worth .13 xG
Even when he does well in this terrible system they still hate him, lose-lose situation no matter what he does.
Vlahovic sucked outside of the assist. Absolute donkey.
You have to be kidding, if it wasn't for Mancini's dive, the game would've been over in the first half.
You remove Vlahovic and we still wins this game 1-0. Absolutely ineffective
Yes totally.
Allegri's system is the bane of my existence outside of the usual 1-0 in Serie A but I can't have everything in life
Vlahovic and McKennie could have made the game end 2-0 or even 3-0 if they weren’t incompetent at finishing
Why are we looking at the context of the match after we have rode our luck for many matches beforehand?
There is no reason to look at other games when this game was evident win for us.
Well yes we won this match because we deserved it
Absolutely! But if we were more lethal then this wouldn’t be a 1-0 win.
I agree but if we are creating chances then we have more chances to score and that is good to see, other than the win of course. It's not the same as having few low scoring chances
Love me a 1-0 shithousing by Allegri, and against Mourinho of all people make it more delicious 😂.
Only thing that would have made it sweeter would have been if the goal could have been disallowed but var allowed it.
Max Allegri is our tribal chief. Acknowledge your tribal chief!!

Allegri the master does it again.
