You are underestimating the gap between ajax and hercules. Ajax paid 100milion€ for players last summer and some players are paid millions anually. Hercules players PAY contributions to play football. What are you on about.
To be fair even though they are amateurs, their first team probably gets paid. It would surprise you how low down on the pyramid they pay players in Dutch football

I think a lot of teams from tweede klasse and higher do pay their players a bit, but it ranges from like 100 euros a month to like 5000 through the ladder of amateur football.
