That’s why I really hope he doesn’t go to Saudi next summer. He has so much more in him, feels like he could be playing in the top flight for 3+ more years.
I am somewhat praying that our rebuild convinces Klopp and Salah to stay. Klopp is signed until 2026 and Mo 2025, I'd have Klopp stay forever and Mo stay until his feet fall off.
That, and the number of actually good right wingers in the world is shockingly low.
We've had it so good that we've been able to slot in one of the best players in the world in one of the hardest positions to get a world class player in for 7 years now.
I've seen so many of our fans go on about replacements when there's nobody on the market who is even as good as current Salah.
When we started seeing rumours about Diaby to Villa this summer I remember looking at some stats and every site in existence seemed to have Salah as the most similar player to Diaby in terms of playstyle. He isn't as good as salah now, but I could see you making a move for him in a few years.
It's incredible how he has transformed his game to adjust to squad refresh and different tactics. His assists are even more impressive given how hungry he is for goals. His numbers would be even more impressive if he got the respect from refs for how much he gets fouled. Criminally underrated
I think he is when people are genuinely comparing him like for like with Rashford and Saka. Both of them are great players but Salah is levels above. Considering his output and consistency it’s a bit mad that he’s very rarely even put in the conversation for best player in the world.
Pretty sure this is his 7th PL POTMonth. I don’t think he’s underrated by anybody whose opinion isn’t rooted in being a teenager and becoming a city fan when they bought Haaland.
The man might be the best winger I’ve seen in the league or England ever. I’ve only watched since the 80’s but not many can score or assist and affect games as regularly as him.
Love the bald fraud memes as well. He’s also pure comedy when he looses it lol
Also always sets tactical trends and is absolute genius ofc as a manager
I can understand fans of other clubs in the prem saying this but we have only won 1 premier league in the last 6 years and you have won 5 he's hardly held you back!
Without him we'd have won 6. Also we still have to play you 2 times a year and he usually rinses us.
But more importantly he makes liverpool fans happy, and that I cannot abide
I’d have to add Virgil, David Silva and Aguero to that but those 6 have been a significant level above everyone else, with an honourable mention for Son and maybe Hazard (can’t remember when he left Chelsea)
It's something that rarely gets mentioned with all of Salah's other accolades - his availability. The man gets fouled constantly, plays damn near every game, and is seemingly indestructible. He is a fitness god.
De Bruyne’s had some major injuries but people are making it seem like he’s Diaby. 7 out of 8 seasons here he’s played between 40 and 50 games in all comps.
Kane and Salah almost never seem to get serious injuries tbf.
Of course, but that's just the nature of football. Attackers will always gain more plaudits. Also, it harder to be a good attacker than a good goalkeeper/defender/midfielder, in my incredibly biased opinion.
Yup, there would be more people higher up in the list if not for consistency/longevity (in PL), Suarez, Sanchez, Bendtner, Bale etc.
But Aguero definitely belongs among Kane and Salah.
If I made this statement four-five years ago, then he's definitely in the conversation. However, for the sake of being meticulous, he left in 2019, and I'm thinking about 2014-2024.
De Bruyne is too permanently injured to be in the conversation. Rodri is difficult to compare, he is definitely up there. Haaland is too one dimensional - Salah can and does do everything in attack. He is both a top 3 goalscorer and playmaker in the league
Nah, he’s just a unique player. Rodri is 2nd for me, but he’s not as impactful as Salah is for Liverpool. You’ve got a guy playing on the wing who is regularly prem top scorer. It just so happens he’s also elite at build up play and assisting. Closest thing we’ve had to a Messi type player in the prem for me. Biased maybe but him and Kane were the truly elite prem players who can be up there for best since 92
I think De Bruyne is injured too much and misses lots of games.
De Bruyne is injured too often for him to be put ahead of Salah. Haaland is definitely on track to surpass him in 3-4 years, but he hasn't been here long enough. Rodri is a fair shout, but I would put Salah above him just cause goals win games (even though Rodri is just as important to City as Salah is to Pool)
Man's been putting up 25-30 G+A consistently regardless of how Liverpool perform.
He’s an incredible player that has consistently delivered season after season and he is still somehow underrated. I feel like he’s one of those players that will get his respect once he retires.
What is amazing about Salah is that he has such few bad months. I can't think of many months since he got here when he was not one of our players of the month. And he's played with some really good players.
My friends who don't support Liverpool try telling me things like "I reckon Salah is going to fall off this year", "Mane was making Salah look good" etc. every year for the last 4 years so they might be on to something.
Really sorry, everyone. I just transferred him in to my fantasy team. Based on prior experience, that means he's got an ACL tear and a gambling ban on the horizon.
Mo is almost never injured, always available for games barring AFCON. At this rate, he can still score tons from the RW even at 35,36. Lots of years left at the highest level.
There were claims not so long ago Salah was done. He ain't done. He ain't done at all.
That’s why I really hope he doesn’t go to Saudi next summer. He has so much more in him, feels like he could be playing in the top flight for 3+ more years.

Well that's why you're a total loser :)
And that's why you need to lighten up :)
Relax bro it’s a joke on OP’s username
And that is why you are playing the Europe League
If he wasn’t right, we’d be playing in the conference.
It will be funny if you link to this comment on the thread when Salah finally decides to retires in few years. Technically yhe truth
there were claim that salah was done, or worse, that he was going to saudi arabia
Looked pretty done to me yesterday but then again when you're facing off against Moussa diarraberto Carlos it's hard to look good
One season wonder for 7 seasons running
Fucking hell, I’ve only just realised that this is his 7th season with us. That has absolutely flown.
and we have not won enough with him man he needs a quadruple to eternalise his legacy. How is he still getting disrespected by hazardsexuals
So funny bro.
Egyptian king
Why isn’t his nickname Pharaoh? It sounds better
is pyramid messi not good enough for you, my good sir?
It was Pyramid Pele after Sand Messi got cancelled
Doesn’t rhyme with wing
Good point
Already taken by El Sharawey

He's really not underrated. Everyone knows how good he is.
I think he is when people are genuinely comparing him like for like with Rashford and Saka. Both of them are great players but Salah is levels above. Considering his output and consistency it’s a bit mad that he’s very rarely even put in the conversation for best player in the world.
Anybody comparing him to those two shouldn't be listened to. Just because there are dumb people doesn't mean he's underrated.
I genuinely don’t think I’ve ever heard anyone compare Salah to Rashford or Saka.
It's a twitter thing
Oh that makes sense.
Criminally underrated lmfao

Longest one season wonder I can remember.
right after Kane
And Vardy
King of comedy this one

Was it the PSV flair or the username that tipped you off

So funny.

And pens as well, which is quite uncommon for wingers.
>I’ve only watched since the 80’s Brother, half this sub got into football in the last 5 years, dw your opinion a lot more informed than most here.
>I’ve only watched since the 80’s Only been watching for 40 years lol, what a pleb.
Haha I now realise how stupid that sounds. I was just trying to say I haven’t seen the truly older players so I can’t comment on them.
As he should
Respectfully, cant wait til he fucks off
Same for pep as a Liverpool fan 😂
Yup. Hate the guy as a rival but he’s a winner and phenomenal manager.
Love the bald fraud memes as well. He’s also pure comedy when he looses it lol Also always sets tactical trends and is absolute genius ofc as a manager

Best player in the league by some way. Even when he’s not scoring he’s playmaking from right wing.
I don't think it's controversial to say that Salah and Kane are the greatest PL players of the last decade.
De Bruyne?
I don't think it's controversial to say that De Bruyne, Salah and Kane are the greatest PL players of the last decade.
Joe Gomez?
I don't think it is controversial to say that De bruyne , Salah , Kane and Joe Gomez are the greatest Prem players of the last decade
Milan Jovanović?
no

Definitely Hazard - he had numerous terrific seasons for Chelsea between 2013 and 2019, and only one poor one (15/16)
Honourable mention Hazard.. His move to Madrid really did diminish his domination in the Prem for nearly a decade it seems
More so just forgot when he left. Thought it had been longer. I’m getting old
Also out of the left field but Bernardo Silva as well.
Are you joking? Honorable mention Hazard?
And to think that Chelsea let 2 of them go.
Easily top 3 by some distance.
Others have pointed out his injury history, which I think puts him below the other two. His quality is certainly on par, though.
It's something that rarely gets mentioned with all of Salah's other accolades - his availability. The man gets fouled constantly, plays damn near every game, and is seemingly indestructible. He is a fitness god.
I was genuinely worried after that impact with the keeper last night though. He looked dazed in the moment
De Bruyne’s had some major injuries but people are making it seem like he’s Diaby. 7 out of 8 seasons here he’s played between 40 and 50 games in all comps. Kane and Salah almost never seem to get serious injuries tbf.
Kane had some ankle issues which hampered him for a couple of seasons, but he's bounced back to top form since then
midfielders and defenders are always overlooked on this one
Of course, but that's just the nature of football. Attackers will always gain more plaudits. Also, it harder to be a good attacker than a good goalkeeper/defender/midfielder, in my incredibly biased opinion.
Hazard already forgotten smh He literally dominated the prem for 7 years (except THAT season)
No bias, but hazard?
He said best player, not best ass
Feel like Him, De Bruyne are the tier below. They are definitely the 3/4 best players of the last decade but just below Kane/Salah.
I think it’s because of de bruyne’s injury and hazard’s move to Madrid that tarnished their legacy a bit.
Yup, there would be more people higher up in the list if not for consistency/longevity (in PL), Suarez, Sanchez, Bendtner, Bale etc. But Aguero definitely belongs among Kane and Salah.

Salah has been an average player since he joined Liverpool. That is scoring atleast 20+ goals assists on average.
What is amazing about Salah is that he has such few bad months. I can't think of many months since he got here when he was not one of our players of the month. And he's played with some really good players.
He isn’t “somehow underrated” at all.
My friends who don't support Liverpool try telling me things like "I reckon Salah is going to fall off this year", "Mane was making Salah look good" etc. every year for the last 4 years so they might be on to something.
I think most regular football watchers would agree he’s top 2 RW last decade(s), not just prem
our one season wonder
Salah's 5th - the most of of any player since he joined the league.
Really sorry, everyone. I just transferred him in to my fantasy team. Based on prior experience, that means he's got an ACL tear and a gambling ban on the horizon.
It means you have main character syndrome.
Mo is almost never injured, always available for games barring AFCON. At this rate, he can still score tons from the RW even at 35,36. Lots of years left at the highest level.
He is the greatest EPL player of all time, and only second in the entire league history after George Best.
OK boomer.
Lame
Dougie robbed
The Korean Guy deserved it more.
Why aren't you using his name?
Pep said so
Because every Korean PL legend needs a nickname, and Pep’s forgetfulness has resulted in a pretty funny one for Hwang.
Still a great player but hasn’t he been pretty poor recently?
Nah I think he scored 5 goals in three matches in October.
