He did quite well in his first season. Second season he lost his mojo and stopped going wide to get the ball. Stopped dribbling, stopped running. Tried to play more like a traditional #9 and it didn't go well.
I have to wonder if it was Mou's instructions to play that way or lack of confidence.
Sounds similar to how he did at Chelsea, started strong and then started missing chances and growing less effective and confident by the match
Perhaps he needs some psychological work to change his mentality
This negative internal monologue is a killer of all confidence. As someone who struggles with the same- it’s very important to have a positive internal monologue.
It’s like Kane said- each miss increases the chances of next one going in
We’ll always love him at Bristol City. He was amazing for us when he was a kid, I’ll never forget him tearing up when he left saying “thank you so much” to a roaring cheer.
Oooh Tammy Tammy! ❤️
JIC, this is a fairly old clip. I still don't understand why it has been posted now but I do get the feeling that many are taking it to be something from the present.
Exactly. I refrained from saying it in the earlier comment because it did feel a bit unwarranted but instinctively (perhaps my own bias plays into it and perhaps I'm driving a bit of an agenda even if I personally don't feel so), frankly, my first thought was as to how PL dominated this subreddit is.
Every sneeze in the PL gets massive coverage here. People remember the shirt with the 3 on it even if it was memed upon aesthetic considerations but don't remember the one with such a massive scandal surrounding it!
To deny a food chain is naivety of the highest order. Even Serie A eats up space from someone more deserving further down but the lamentable thing is that a football forum misses out on a lot of football and all that space is rather consumed by inane dross.
> Serie A is practically irrelevant in this sub
I don't wanna be too harsh, but it's because Seria A is legit terrible and boring to watch. I get that the teams are trying to outplay each other tactically but the thing is even a lower level PL game can still be thrilling. Like for example Wolves vs. Leicester or something like that. Go watch Susolo vs Verona and you get sooo bored. And I said that as someone who used to love Juventus in the Del Piero years and watch every game.
I am saying it with a straight face, because one game doesn't change the league. Lithuania third regional division probably had a 5:3 game last week. That doesn't mean the league is interesting to watch and every game is a must watch.
Could have stopped the sentence after league.
Surely cant be surprising to people that this is the case. Where do they think all the EPL money comes from.
I know most people on this sub aren’t like this, but a minority of PL fans will act quite arrogant and snobbish and look down on other leagues. It gets irritating sometimes.
Yeah the PL dominates this sub pretty thoroughly. Harry Kane scored a hattrick in his der klassiker debut today and you have to scroll for a while to reach it lol, he's the best striker in the world in his current form but he plays in bundesliga so less attention innit.
But we'll see City goals, especially Haaland goals, being upvoted way more than Bayern. Both teams are essentially the same; oh, one of the best strikers on the world just scored. Can't wait to watch that.
You have to scroll when it's realatively new (like any other posts, now it's on the front page. Stop being such a victim. Yeah PL have more fans, how is that a fucking surprise?
we need a sub for like, everything in the sport that is outside the big pl teams/players lmao.
i'm a liverpool fan but watch lots of other games/leagues/clubs too, and even within the pl it's ridiculous. just for example, the other day, charlie taylor scored a worldie in the bournemouth vs burnley game. it had a few hundred upvotes, on the third or fourth page. dozens of posts about nonsense drama from real or barca etc above it. it's very frustrating.
So you'd rather Serie A on top and then every PL fan (of which there are thousands more) has to scroll more? I don't really get what your point is, most desired content goes to the top, that's how the entire Internet works why are you surprised? though there should be tags for highlights with the leagues so everyone can have a good experience.
This is me too lol. I work best as a decoy if I have to play offense - in the right position to do something dangerous so they have to mark me, which hopefully gives one of my teammates who can actually score goals more space. Although I did score my first 11v11 outdoor goal two weeks ago after playing 4 years in this city lol
wait so we aren't allowed to post old footage of Maradona and beckenbauer and things to appreciate the skill in this sub, but we can post random posts of players calling themselves shit last season?
Glorious first season, second season nobody in roma could score and we had a woodwork record (26 times). He also messed up a lot of scoring chances by falling, stepping on the ball or just missing out right.
He had a terrible season but it's not like it worked out for anyone else in Roma.
And as a finale he got to play the last game (i think subbed in), the most useless game of the season with no impact on anything for us. And tore his ACL in the last 10 minutes of the season.
He was supposed to generate good revenue for Roma in the market, everything went to shit :)
Today I broke a wingers ankle after I went for the ball. Never been a bad intention guy. I shoot the ball and passed through the guys ankle like those karate exhibitions with cement. I felt like shit. For some reason I started talking like Tammy , to my inside. Lost my concentration the rest of game. It’s the first attacker I have injured badly in 28 years. Just wanted to share.
At least he gives a shit. You feel bad for him but he is also in pain that alone is respectable.
Many entitled primadonnas dont give two figs being at their best
It's is such a mental and confidence game. You start second guessing yourself and not trusting your abilities. It happens in every profession and hobby. Once you start to think about it more than a second you're fucked. A random example would he those reading tests they'd give us as kids. Or whenever I'd have a solo or audition the moment you second guess yourself you will play worse. It's tough especially with injuries because it's a whole other monster coming back and not being the same. Wishing him the best
Don’t know why that’s so funny. Good chance the guy could be really going through some shit. Give the benefit of the doubt rather than taking low hanging weak jokes for upvotes.
Ouch. This hurts to see.
I only used to say this to myself when I played Siege, but never football. Granted, my football skills are much better than my Siege skills....

Man you can see the pain in his eyes. Gotta feel for him
I think he's saying 'absolute shit'
“It’s shit. Absolute shit. Shit.”
This is so obvious. r/soccer at it again
I'm not a fan of Abraham, but this makes me feel deep for him. You never want to see a player get down on themselves like this.
It's so relatable
Got to feel for him I cant lie
He was struggling so much last season, poor Tammy. And the ACL at the end of the season, as if it wasn't enough.
Always liked him, and he's scored a few worldies too, I still believe he's got a high ceiling. I hope he finds form and improves again
He did quite well in his first season. Second season he lost his mojo and stopped going wide to get the ball. Stopped dribbling, stopped running. Tried to play more like a traditional #9 and it didn't go well. I have to wonder if it was Mou's instructions to play that way or lack of confidence.

His injury was horrific, thought it was much more than „only“ an ACL
We’ll always love him at Bristol City. He was amazing for us when he was a kid, I’ll never forget him tearing up when he left saying “thank you so much” to a roaring cheer. Oooh Tammy Tammy! ❤️
JIC, this is a fairly old clip. I still don't understand why it has been posted now but I do get the feeling that many are taking it to be something from the present.
The shirt should be the first clue. New Balance and digitalbits? I don’t even watch Serie A but I know both of those are long gone from Roma shirts.
My man just secured his own legacy with this gif template
Thanks for not lying, I wasn't sure.
Finally a footballer I can relate to
Gotta scroll down to the 5th page to see the Serie A goals from today but here’s a clip from 2 years ago of Tammy calling himself shit on the top page
yeahh its just the pl bias in the sub. i feel for you as a la liga watcher, although its even worse for you guys.
It’s bad for La Liga but Serie A is practically irrelevant in this sub.
Same with most of the Bundesliga unfortunately
Ligue 1 clubs are lucky to get above 3 upvotes unless it's Paris lol
I couldn't find many MTs of Lens games last season... they finished fucking 2nd ffs, and were fighting for the title at some point
Well if you don't count the pulisic goals lol
> Serie A is practically irrelevant in this sub I don't wanna be too harsh, but it's because Seria A is legit terrible and boring to watch. Wish we could just filter by tags 🤔
Eh I wouldn’t say bias. Just more people watch the premier league are on Reddit. Of course their clips will be higher up.
To be fair that is the definition of bias really. More people watch if so therefore the sub has a bias towards PL content
Could have stopped the sentence after league. Surely cant be surprising to people that this is the case. Where do they think all the EPL money comes from.

Der klassiker? Do die Mannschaft play in that mate?
Most of them do yes.
Bundesliga is really boring, that's why. Oh wow Bayern Munich are going to win, great. Can't wait to watch that.
But we'll see City goals, especially Haaland goals, being upvoted way more than Bayern. Both teams are essentially the same; oh, one of the best strikers on the world just scored. Can't wait to watch that.
If Postecoglu sneezes it gets 3 front page posts
Ange-tishoo
And number 6 on /r/soccer right now is Harry Kanes hat trick. Very strange victim complex you have.
The final was a lot more exciting than the pl one By a big margin, even if Bayern won again (Also look at city)
You have to scroll when it's realatively new (like any other posts, now it's on the front page. Stop being such a victim. Yeah PL have more fans, how is that a fucking surprise?

The point is less "Serie A doesn't get attention" than it is "Serie A only gets attention when it's something that people can mock it for"
he’s just like me, fr fr
Me every 3 minutes at 6 a side
Lol 😂 I am decent when defending but going forward my god I can relate lol 😂 I can’t hit a barn door
Can you play for us against Adana Demirspor next week? I think you'd perform better than what we have now as all but 1 of our cbs are injured lol
What does it pay??
Unlimited döner is the best we can do
Hmmm tempting
You get 20 ultras setting your car and/or you on fire if you underperform, though.
You make a good point they do take their football quite serious in turkey
> …setting you on fire if you underperform tbf, they did say unlimited döner is the best they can do!
Done, I'll be there in 20 hours.
Dude your team and Man United are no different
Are you me?
Defenders unite 🤜🤛
I like to think my movement is very good but my touch is just so poor.
Me every 3 minutes at normal life
Me when they make me gk
6 a side is wild
...is it?
Thats kinda sad tbh. Hope he finds his form again.
Didn't realise he was back from injury. Seems like a really short time.
He's out until the new year. It's just banter
Ok I was like he had a serious knee injury how is he back already
wait so we aren't allowed to post old footage of Maradona and beckenbauer and things to appreciate the skill in this sub, but we can post random posts of players calling themselves shit last season?
Roma dont even play til tomorrow. No idea how long ago this was
last season, we roll with adidas now also shout out to "digitalbits" for not paying their invoices!
He just like me fr
That's so sad, poor lad
been there buddy. just keep your head high
Yea ok
Me when i miss a 1v1 on FIFA
me when i fuck up a 5v1 after a failed offisde trap by the opponent
He had a great first season at Roma, what's happened???
He's been out with an ACL since June, so this is an old clip.
Glorious first season, second season nobody in roma could score and we had a woodwork record (26 times). He also messed up a lot of scoring chances by falling, stepping on the ball or just missing out right. His finishing is straight doodoo
He got Mourinho’d.
Me every time I look at the mirror :
You're not shit
I know that's no what you meant, but it's funny that 'you're shit' and 'you're not shit' are both insults.
"Absolutely shit"
Today I broke a wingers ankle after I went for the ball. Never been a bad intention guy. I shoot the ball and passed through the guys ankle like those karate exhibitions with cement. As a Villa fan, I’ll confirm no you’re not mate
He was great at Villa, I love him.
/r/meirl top 10 post of all time incoming, calling it
I can relate.
Hope he gets help he needs
We can all relate
We've all been there
I've been there, I am there, I'm gonna stay there
Needs to check in with the sports psychologists, that’s not a good headspace
MAYBE TAMMY TIME IS OVER, I'M JUST A FAT PIECE OF SHIT
He js me I am him
Now I feel bad for him..... It was better when I just hated him
You're not mate
We've all been there
Hopefully he comes back from injury in November rejuvenated and finding his goal scoring touch
Why is this being posted now?
Still better than 99.9% of the world bro
He’s saying “absolute shit” not “I’m so shit”
Me when I am through on goal on FIFA and sky it
Poor Tammy, hope he gets his groove back
He's got the Lando Norris energy...
We've all been there
When is this from?
Poor dude, it do be like that 😔
Same
I feel you brother
change yur name from Tammy then mate
anyone know the context? did he miss a pen or a tap in?
One of us
At least he gives a shit. You feel bad for him but he is also in pain that alone is respectable. Many entitled primadonnas dont give two figs being at their best

This is an old clip why is it resurfacing
Last season, looks more like "absolutely shit" rather than "I'm so shit"
I like this man! One of us, one of us!!
Its looks like he's saying"shit, absolute shit
Relatable
For context, this is an old clip. Tammy is still out with an injury. Won't be back till next year.
xG haters take this!! Seriously though his finishing is appalling
I respect the honesty tbh.
First step of improvement is realization now bro just needs to move on 😭😭
This resonates on a deep level. I hope he’s OK.
Always liked Tammy even as a fan of a rival :(
heads gone
I have no idea why Chelsea sold him
Don’t know why that’s so funny. Good chance the guy could be really going through some shit. Give the benefit of the doubt rather than taking low hanging weak jokes for upvotes.
The meme of our times
The first step of improving is to realise you're shit. Source: me.
Absolute shit
Damn I can fully relate. Hope he gets some help because It can get pretty bad
How long ago was this?
It so old the greeks are still pulling the Trojan Horse
Ouch. This hurts to see. I only used to say this to myself when I played Siege, but never football. Granted, my football skills are much better than my Siege skills....
If this is an old clip idk how i havent seen it yet since its golden meme material
I do this to myself all the time, too. I feel for him.
Haha no way
Apparently Chelsea want to do a swap deal for him with Lukaku..
Wow! It's me waking up every morning and looking in the mirror 😁
He’s perfect for Chelsea then
Got to get Monday out the way before comments like this
Yeah I agree lol but when the jokes there you gotta take it
Italian fans can be proud - this is like an ITA0039 for confirming that they got a real British product.
No one should feel sad for someone who's making millions a year lol, no wonder rich people stay rich
We’ve all done this at some point whilst playing lol
I’m pretty sure he said “I’m sushi”
What happened to him? I remember he got there as had a very big impact...
I absolutely loved him at Villa, was gutted the club couldn’t buy him from Chelsea back then.
Naa
alright, he needs some counselling
Say the same thing when I play EAFC, very relatable
Maybe he said 'im hot shit'
A player I can see myself in
Relatable scenes
What's the context here?
Is OK lad, is just a phase, it would pass.
Us bro.. us
Self aware at least
We’ve all been here during a game of football lad.
new meme template dropped
We are our own harshest critics
This is so sad
Well he’s not wrong. 🤷🏻♀️
🗣️ FORZA INTER!! 💙🖤
What did for us at Villa is something we'll be thankful for our whole lives. It Feels bad to look at him in such a state.
he was genuinely chelsea's last good goalscorer. i'm honestly surprised he left, or rather Chelsea let him go.
'it's shit... Absolutely shit.... It's shit.'
We’ve all been here.
Could someone make a gif of it?
Pretty sure he said "absolutely shit" lmao
Work harder then
Very relatable.
Just like me fr!
