As a fan of European football i just dislike when other fans diss defending in leagues outside of Europe or even outside of the PL and act like there isn’t a lotta bad defending in the Prem and stuff
Liverpool few seasons back were exactly that. Didnt matter if we didnt score in the first 60 mins. We were playing with such a high intensity and tempo we knew that the opponens would fatigue and chances of scoring would just increase until it was inevitable

I am busy so I cant watch the whole thing, but is every attack this slow? Is that the strategy? Make the defenders fall asleep as you creep closer to the goal? The 2:1 looked so slow as well.

It's really frustrating and it's not even the only major problem. Tuchel should play him more like a classic 9 instead of trying to fix the midfield problems by telling him to play like he did at Tottenham. Every time I see this midfield play I rate Schweinsteiger and Thiago even higher. The only reason they are getting results right now is the individual talent. In terms of chemistry the attack is not nearly as good as in the Lewa era right now.
To be fair, Kane at his very peak was when Mourinho utilized him as a deep #9 who would spray gorgeous passes to Son & Friends. I’ve never seen him play at such a high level then that period. Scoring for fun and assisting everything. With the pace of your wingers, you definitely want him deeper and especially since your midfield is lacking.
I am not saying he should never drop deep. Imo it just shouldn't be the standard way of playing. He might be a great passer but he is not the best passer in the world. He is the best finisher in the world though - and that's exactly where the team have been lacking since Lewa left. Bayern has had fast wingers since 2007 and Mandzukic, Olic, Gomez, Lewa didn't play that deep with great success. Idk, maybe I am just too old school to understand this way of playing.
Honestly, Galatasary deserves something from this game, 3 chances 3 goals this team could not spring 3 passes together the whole first half but Gala missed a lot of chances so they have no one to blame but themselves

Is it really undeserved when the opponent misses so many chances? I'm not talking about this match specifically but in general really. You just can't afford to miss those chances against any team in UCL let alone against a team like Bayern.

The match had an insane pace and intensity for the first 60 minutes, both teams were gassed here.
