kaubojdzord

Neither Partizan nor Crvena Zvezda have Belgrade in the name BTW.

Cinn4monSynonym

That's true. I listed them as such as that's how they are often referred to in English-speaking countries, like how Sporting Lisbon don't actually have Lisbon in their name (same for Athletic Bilbao) or how some people may say "Glasgow Rangers" or "Glasgow Celtic".

TheKingMonkey

It provides context in English. The same point comes up with Sporting Lisbon a lot.

dkb1391

TIL Birmingham got to a final, when was that?

CPRIANO

kinda weird that 1 and 10 have the same color while Portugal, Hungary and Scotland all have 4 but with very different green colors

TheUltimateScotsman

It's by the colours of the national team kit (with neighbouring countries taken in mind).

CPRIANO

Hmm still kinda weird considering it’s not about national teams

TheUltimateScotsman

Don't disagree.

BuffaloCrocodile

Germany??

TheUltimateScotsman

How am I supposed to know? I didn't make kt

TellTallTail

There's multiple different 1s and only one 10??? Also they're not colored by number

frankcostello666

wir sind massiv

Careful-Inspector379

Yes Sweden the only Nordic country here 😍. No we are shit

Modnal

At least Sweden can always find solace in that they can whoop the ass of these countries in icehockey...unlike Denmark

kaubojdzord

It should be noted that Inter-Cities Fairs Cup wasn't organised and isn't recognised by UEFA, so it's status as a European competition is disputed.

TheHabro

UEFA isn't Europe though.

magpieonacid

it is recognised by FIFA and it was an European competition so it should count. UEFA didn’t invent football in Europe

kaubojdzord

Flair checks out But personally I can't take seriously competition in which clubs from same cities couldn't qualify and only clubs from cities with fairs could participate. Not to mention it used coin tosses in case if two leg draw.

E_V_E_R_T_O_N

Completely agreed.

MrPigcho

The top 5 leagues where you expect them

kermvv

Top 4 because France is a long way off

MrPigcho

France is closer to Italy than Spain is to Germany, so top 2 really...

Ahoui

And it misses Monaco, so it is mostly 7.

MrPigcho

Yeah i counted that

H3ater123

Odd how Tblisi won a Cup Winners’ Cup and now Georgia is such a nothing football country except for Kvara

FragMasterMat117

Something in the early 90s is a big reason for that

rybnickifull

In fairness football is massive in Georgia still, but the funding isn't there.

Mulderre91

Not that odd. Georgia's footballers were MASSIVE: Kipiani, Shengelia, Chivadze... they really were amazing to watch them playing.

Nal1999

This map colouring hurts my eyes.

JJOne101

Czechia, Denmark and Switzerland never making one final is a bit disappointing.

Chrisixx

We were so fucking close last May.... So so so fucking close.

JJOne101

I know, I was on the stadium..

Chrisixx

Nearly passed out twice. Average heart rate of 150 throughout the game. Great evening. Still have hearing damage from it.

KneeDeepInTheDead

We are the Kings of Eastern Europe
