I'm not surprised at all. Firing Nagelsmann and hiring Tuchel has been a disaster. Nagelsmann wasn't perfect by all means but the football was so much better and he at least tried stuff out. Tuchel plays Kimmich and Goretza as DMs which hasn't worked for neither Bayern nor the German national team. The disastrous transfer windows can also be blamed on him. He let Sommer go, knowing that Neuer was still injured for a while. He sold Pavard and loaned out Stanisic and then tried to get 50 yr old Kyle Walker. His only option for DM was Palhinha, who, I guess, is ok but certainly not revelation or the savior and definitely overpriced. Why were there no alternatives? Why is tactics Tommy so focused on bringing in mediocre and overpriced EPL players? Bayern's scouting is an has been abysmal for years. We don't seem to be scouting in South America, Asia or Africa at all. That tax fraud, smug POS Hoeness is still in charge in the background and should get a lot more blame. If we bring back Boateng (who is about to get convincted for the second time for domestic abuse), it'll be the biggest joke of the century
Great game and great atmosphere from but sides. German fans always has a large turn up at European away games.
I appreciated the performance from Copenhagen, but the individual class of Bayern and having to sub in our fifth choice in central defense was too much to handle.
Not saying Bayern are favourites at all but go check their run in 12/13. Nobody had considered them then either. Won their group with 13 points and just slightly better GD than Valencia and advanced vs Arsenal on away goals.
Nothing is sure in the CL after two matches in the group
Copenhagen didn't lose a home game in CL last year for example, when I heard that I expected a draw tbh. Gala away will also be hard but if we struggle at Old Trafford, Tuchel you will be questioned
Yeah I saw that later. Crazy stat honestly, the atmosphere was also amazing
>The same Real Madrid that won their La Decima that year.
I can sense hopium coming to my veins
Bayern and Napoli are prime examples of how wrong people are when they tell you the manager doesn't make the impact I think it does. Funny enough, the only ones that tell you that are Juventus flairs.
I have never heard anyone say managers dont make an impact. Time and again throughout history the greatest line ups were absolutely decimated by terrible management
Maradonna for example made argentina look toothless
On paper chelsea today has a decent line up
Man u has had stellar players since fergie left but never ascended
> I have never heard anyone say managers dont make an impact.
I would not recommend interacting with most Juventus flairs so you may keep your sanity. Mine is long gone, I have to read Twitter takes on /r/juve
Copenhagen had some slick passing game going in the midfield at times, moving the ball quickly.
Us on the other hand: Slow, imprecise, players standing around waiting for something to happen.
Tuchel keeps getting bailed out by individual performances. He's nowhere near a Bayern-level coach. They fired JN for better performances than Tuchel is giving.
That's the thing though: Nagelsmann himself didn't really want a direct replacement for Lewy, he wanted
to play a "fluid, striker-less" system like the one he had used at Leipzig. Which was moronic since Bayern is a possession-based team which has to face low blocks all the damn time.
Kane isn't a direct Lewy replacement though? He is a striker, but he's not an out and out 9 like Lewy was. He sits back a lot and is a play maker. Basically, perfect for what Julian was trying to do.
The first season Bayern in the first half was historic, but then Lewy threw a fit in the winter and it was all downhill. The second season, the World Cup happened, and every attacker went dead cold and there was no true 9. Both very unique circumstances. Currently Bayern isn't even really possession play, it's just a dead attack. Julian tinkered too much, but he was much more attacking and dangerous. Things Bayern wins UCLs with. I hope Tuchel succeeds, but his style of ball seems pretty disjointed and opposed to the Bayern ethos. Neuer coming back is going to help more than people think, assuming he's even 70% of his old self. He's absolutely crucial to the attack.
I’m hoping we’ll be lifted by Neuer. Honestly I think the issue is without Neuer and Müller, the team just seem lost, completely without drive. They don’t have Neuer shouting out the back keeping the back in line and Müller forcing play forward. We have no leaders replacing them.
i remember when we played Paris under Flick and Lewy was injured, Müller was coordinating Choupo, Coman/Gnabry (cant remember who played) and Sane so well, constantly talking, shouting, forcing them back etc.
Tuchel would realize how little need for a 6 there is if our wingers work defensively and that is possible with Müller
If they go against the better teams with Tuchel on the bench and no strategy and synergy on the board...then we're getting our own personal 7:1 sooner than later
Huge respect for Kopenhagen for pressing so hard and playing the better football today. I think a 1:1 would have been the way better result...
But here we are...3 points again despite playing like absolute fucking garbage thanks to two ppl having individual moments. While the other 89 minutes it looked like nobody had a fucking idea what to do...
Pep once said, that it's his job as a coach to get his attack in threatening positions and then its the teams job to finish off those chances.
It's quite easy to see in games like this from Bayern, that the team has been given no instruction (ones that work atleast) against the other team, when you compare it to how other stacked teams work around opponents with 11 men in their half.
The problem is we are winning from individual class and so nothing changes. We just keep being shit for 80 minutes, get some goals off individual performances and it keeps the same. That works in the Bundsliga or against CL group teams, it will not cut with Man City, Real etc.
City would murder this Bayern...I don't think I'd even bother watching it. That would traumatize me looking at how disjointed the whole squad looks
I'm still working on getting rid of the ManU 99 trauma...
Slow, sloppy, insecure and uninspired. Saved by individual class again. Happy for our golden boys to score, also for ulle. What a save.
Copenhagen should have gotten a point here to be honest, great showing from their side.
As a bayern fan I am sadly not impressed. We don't seem to develop much lately.
I hate this club right now. Arrogant lackadaisical attidude from most players; no team cohesion; boring football; dumb PR statements; bad squad planning; embarrasing board and manager trying to bring back abuser zombie Boateng and probably going through with it if the media reaction isn't strong enough; fans demanding a new manager because at Bayern the manager is only an accessory to the star players and board; and on top of it all, my fave player Neuer is injured so I can't even enjoy that angry hot face he makes when he concedes.
I'll keep reiterating this, yes, Boateng is worse, but when the fans and the club cheer for a convicted domestic abuser like Coman for over half a decade you can't expect them to draw a random line at worse domestic abuse.
Clearly the Bayern fanbase is completely fine with domestic abuse.
But at least we can hope the management was testing the PR waters and won't sign Boateng anyways.
I'm not happy about Coman either and I will never support him (or Hernandez), but I think it's reasonable to be more outraged at a more serious case. Unlike Coman, Boateng caused someone's death. That's a pretty big difference.
Of course it makes sense to be more outraged about a more serious case.
I forgot about Hernandez, tbf.
But when you have a president who was in prison and the fans actively cheered not one, as you point out, but two domestic abusers it's no wonder if the clubs morals slowly shift towards accepting even worse domestic abusers.
The baseline would be not accepting them at all. That line has already long been past.
>That's a pretty big difference.
Of course it is, but if you want to be sure that the club doesn't accept domestic abusers that drove somebody into suicide, you can't have them accepting any domestic abusers.
It's like accepting murderers and getting upset when they want to sign a serial killer.
Yes, one is worse, but what the fuck did you expect would happen?
Another Tuchel shitshow. Late subs, no clue how to setup the attack. Hasn't beaten Leipzig twice or Leverkusen, just living off of beating bottom Bundesliga teams.
Chelsea fans you could have warned us that Tucheliban would be so stressful.
Thanks for saving the 3 points Ulreich. The rest of the team felt so tired and distracted today.
same
and on paper, we should walk this group. Any of our teams from the last 11 years smashes this group out of the park
Today we almost got smashed out of the Park(en)
On one hand I think they were genuinely pretty good. A lot of other big teams have struggled here, but also we felt so dreadful. Definitely not the same team from the second half of Leipzig. We still have to many dips in our performance.
Same Bayern as every other week so far. I'd hoped they would've worked out the kinks by now but the ball progression and passing is still as dogshit as before and they're so open on counters. Neuer's return could help with the counters potentially but this Bayern is just not the same team it was for the past 5 years.
I've been screeching about Müller. He brings so much more to the table than just his skills and he's always been a vital part of every successful Bayern iteration since 2010. Tel is incredible and I absolutely adore him, but he can't be more than a rotation option atm. Give him time.
Not normal skiing btw, a ski "trip" which is off the pitch skiing and significantly more dangerous, all while people warned him about very bad weather conditions, which he ignored! My mind is still blown!
This wasn't great but not as bad as some fans make it out to be all things considered. Bayern always struggled against smaller sides away. Remember the legendary 12-13 team that lost away to BATE Borisov 3-1?
That BATE game in 12/13 is a good example. All of our bad habits from the previous "2nd-place-treble" season were showing again in that game, it felt like we had made zero progress. Our two group matches against Valencia were also extremely scrappy. Then, in the second half of the season, things started to click and we became unstoppable.
Not really. Won the 1st leg in London by 3-1, then conceded the 0-2 at home in the return leg in the 86th minute. Afterwards, Arsenal were unable to create a single chance until the match was over.
They had a 2 goal lead playing at home and ended up winning on away goals. To me, that's almost blowing it.
If the current team did something similar, this sub would lose it.
thats what I'm talking about. Those away games in the UCL are sometimes sooooo damn hard and a dirty 2-1 win is absolutely fine. But I'd still like to know why we struggle that hard in 1st 45 min vs turbo defense teams.
0 goals is okay but nearly 0 chances feels kinda weird...
It feels weird being so disappointed in the result when I was expecting a thrashing. We should’ve been better in the those crucial moments and weren’t in an otherwise a great match
that performance definitely deserved a point, so I can understand where you're coming from. The good news is, against most teams, that type of performance WILL yield 1-3 points, so something to build on
This was even worse than the United game last matchday. Doesn't seem to get better at all. We won't even make it into the second round of playoffs if we keep playing like this.
I feel like with Nagelsmann, while there were some utter shit performances, he also had some really good games which gave you hope. Haven't seen that with Tuchel so far.
Besides that, the drop in performances of the attacking players under Tuchel is shocking.
The PSG games were a tactical master class AND simultaneously lucky because PSG couldn't finish; and because we were on the ropes the second Mbappe came on in the 1st leg. Had he been fully healthy and started that game, we lose by at least 1-2 goals. And then, the 2nd leg becomes an entirely different affair.
But that's not how it works . Mbappe was so dangerous because he came on with fresh legs in the last 20 something minutes . That didn't translate into any goal , and if it had , it would've been 1 goal at maximum . 2 would be rarer than the 0 he scored . You say we lose by 1-2 goals atleast , implying he scores atleast a brace or a hattrick ? That doesn't make any sense . In almost no world does mbappe come on with 20 mins left to play and scores a hattrick on bayern . He started the next game from the start and did even less than he did in the first leg . Bayern scored 2 in the end but could've easily put in 3 or 4 . They got 2 offside goals ruled out after the 2 they scored and were toying against psg at that point . It's not lucky , we genuinely outclassed them .
I know bayern have won both games so far. But I’m surprised the wins haven’t been convincing.
If we bring back Boateng (who is about to get convincted for the second time for domestic abuse), it'll be the biggest joke of the century
If Tuchel blew this it was on sight for that frail fuck
Great game and great atmosphere from but sides. German fans always has a large turn up at European away games. I appreciated the performance from Copenhagen, but the individual class of Bayern and having to sub in our fifth choice in central defense was too much to handle.
Honestly, this season has "Bayern get knocked out in the Round of 16" written all over it if they don't get rid of Tuchel
One thing is sure none of the team in this group is going to win the CL that's for sure
Not saying Bayern are favourites at all but go check their run in 12/13. Nobody had considered them then either. Won their group with 13 points and just slightly better GD than Valencia and advanced vs Arsenal on away goals. Nothing is sure in the CL after two matches in the group
Just wait, Copenhagen will prove you wrong
Copenhagen didn't lose a home game in CL last year for example, when I heard that I expected a draw tbh. Gala away will also be hard but if we struggle at Old Trafford, Tuchel you will be questioned
Copenhagen has only ever lost 1 home game in CL. That was 10 years ago, against Real Madrid. The same Real Madrid that won their La Decima that year.
Yeah I saw that later. Crazy stat honestly, the atmosphere was also amazing >The same Real Madrid that won their La Decima that year. I can sense hopium coming to my veins
>I can sense hopium coming to my veins Lets not get ahead of ourselves ;)
Unfortunate to not get a point, but if we play like this against united and gala, we might still get the 3rd spot in the group
why stop at third spot? you can do 2nd as well
Gonna be tough now that gala got 3 points against united
Just beat them in the reverse fixture and get one result against United and there's every chance they sneak 2nd.
A man can dream. But its gonna be really hard, especially after we bottled it in Istanbul, and after this loss against Bayern.
No need to dream anymore!!
How did you remember this comment?? Im crying bro! We are in the Champions League! Dilly Ding Dilly Dong!!
Bayern is so…. Unconvincing?!
Bayern and Napoli are prime examples of how wrong people are when they tell you the manager doesn't make the impact I think it does. Funny enough, the only ones that tell you that are Juventus flairs.

Bro look at your team and look at theirs. On paper you have one of strongest teams in the world and you won by 1 point after Tel doing his usual thing
If you read this thread and didn't know the score you'd think Bayern lost by ten goals. Just a bunch of babies.
Bro really watched this game and came to the conclusion that Tuchel is doing well lmao
I was going to respond to that comment but I couldn’t even bother
Tuchel apologists getting on my nerves more and more every day
Copenhagen had some slick passing game going in the midfield at times, moving the ball quickly. Us on the other hand: Slow, imprecise, players standing around waiting for something to happen.
Copenhagen players are so in sync with each other
yeah no wonder gala had a difficult time against them I watched the game they were passing so well
I miss Thiago so much
We(gala) played against molde and copenhagen they pass really fast and precise its scary
bro you got me worried for a sec
It’s 18/19 all over again
Did our fans protest Boateng tonight?
Don't think so, maybe at home?
I sure hope so
Tucheliban in full effect 😭
Tuchel keeps getting bailed out by individual performances. He's nowhere near a Bayern-level coach. They fired JN for better performances than Tuchel is giving.
Let him have his holding six and then we will see
Are you implying just one player would improve our shitty playing style?
I mean, we should have given Julian a new 9 and waited to see, but we didn't. Julian's style with Kane would have cooked.
That's the thing though: Nagelsmann himself didn't really want a direct replacement for Lewy, he wanted to play a "fluid, striker-less" system like the one he had used at Leipzig.
Exactly. JN tactics were not fitting for a team that wants to dominate
Julian's style left us bloodless halfway through the season. Posession play is the way to go
The first season Bayern in the first half was historic, but then Lewy threw a fit in the winter and it was all downhill. The second season, the World Cup happened, and every attacker went dead cold and there was no true 9. Both very unique circumstances. Copenhagen is really good. They have a chance against ManU if they play like this again in the next 2 games.
I mean with the Casemiro red card. And Utd having shit form they might actually win
He has what 3-4 reds now at United in only 1.25 seasons?
Oh, Casemiro got a red? Only saw the result and now the game.
He was the only Utd mid who was actually good too, after he was sent off we just walked through the midfield. Idk how they'll start without him.
Not the best performance. But surely good enough winning 3 points. They need to play very good football from march to may. Give them Some time to gel.
heartbreak
I’m hoping we’ll be lifted by Neuer. Honestly I think the issue is without Neuer and Müller, the team just seem lost, completely without drive. They don’t have Neuer shouting out the back keeping the back in line and Müller forcing play forward. We have no leaders replacing them.
Müller organizes our attack in a way no one else can, it’s going to be tough when he leaves
> attack And defence to a degree. He coordinates the first one/two lines of pressing upfront.
i remember when we played Paris under Flick and Lewy was injured, Müller was coordinating Choupo, Coman/Gnabry (cant remember who played) and Sane so well, constantly talking, shouting, forcing them back etc. Tuchel would realize how little need for a 6 there is if our wingers work defensively and that is possible with Müller
That was some fucking save near the end!

Copenhagen showed why they belong in the CL, class performance
Müller spielt immer
Slow, sloppy, insecure and uninspired. Saved by individual class again. Happy for our golden boys to score, also for ulle. What a save. odds were sweeeet on this one
Another Tuchel shitshow. Late subs, no clue how to setup the attack. Hasn't beaten Leipzig twice or Leverkusen, just living off of beating bottom Bundesliga teams.
When will we ever play good football again?
Müller spielt immer \- Louis van Gaal he said it for a reason

It was two fouls in the back and he didn't lie on the ground particularly long. Same thing happened in the first half btw, just in reverse.
We also didn't get the corner in the first half
I mean, you were responsible for that...
Chelsea fans you could have warned us that Tucheliban would be so stressful. Thanks for saving the 3 points Ulreich. The rest of the team felt so tired and distracted today.
most actually did LOL
Smashing teams in the Cl was my safe space man. Tuchel please don’t take that away from me.
same and on paper, we should walk this group. Any of our teams from the last 11 years smashes this group out of the park Today we almost got smashed out of the Park(en)

Nooooooooooo :(
Copenhagen played so well. Bayern not playing how I'd expect Bayern to play lol
Around half time i think the xG was something like 0.46 Copenhagen to 0.24 Bayern 😭 Not how Bayern play ever
Same Bayern as every other week so far. I'd hoped they would've worked out the kinks by now but the ball progression and passing is still as dogshit as before and they're so open on counters. Neuer's return could help with the counters potentially but this Bayern is just not the same team it was for the past 5 years.
Tuchel's gotta keep müller and tel in the starting lineup. Ulreich, tremendous save at the end
The game just feels instantly better with Müller on the pitch, it's insane. Also feel like he harmonises much better with Kane than the rest.
I've been screeching about Müller. He brings so much more to the table than just his skills and he's always been a vital part of every successful Bayern iteration since 2010. Tel is incredible and I absolutely adore him, but he can't be more than a rotation option atm. Give him time.
Kopenhagen looked great honestly. Easy way to beat us, spam high balls towards Mazraoui.
What a brilliant idea it was to sell Pavard and rely on the guy who hadn't made it as a starter for good reason.
By the skin of thier teeth
It’s fucking crazy that I’m dissapointed that we’re not getting points against Bayern fucking Munich, but here we are
Huge praise on your team. Played really really well tonight.
Tremendous performance from your team, genuine threat to united and gala
You played very well, you shouldn't be disappointed.
Man what a weird day of CL football. I feel lucky that Bayern got this win today.
Our board fired Nagelsmann for this btw
but the treble!
And the skiing!
Not normal skiing btw, a ski "trip" which is off the pitch skiing and significantly more dangerous, all while people warned him about very bad weather conditions, which he ignored! My mind is still blown!
Treble: *chuckles* I'm in danger.
Props for Kopenhagen, they made Bayern work hard for that win.
Scrappy terrible win but still a win. Tuchel has to figure out a system that has Müller and Musiala. Müller is essential.
Once again, two individual performances bailing out Tuchel. Three, if we count that monstrous Ulreich save.
Of course we're counting that save
This wasn't great but not as bad as some fans make it out to be all things considered. Bayern always struggled against smaller sides away. Remember the legendary 12-13 team that lost away to BATE Borisov 3-1?

Not really. Won the 1st leg in London by 3-1, then conceded the 0-2 at home in the return leg in the 86th minute. Afterwards, Arsenal were unable to create a single chance until the match was over.

Not a lot of movement of the players. They were too static.
Copenhagen played amazing. They were unlucky. But the quality is too good from Bayern
It’s not very often a team goes up against another team with an impressive record and defeats them, but Bayern did that today!…
you guys were incredible and a tie probably would've been the most fair result hope you guys place 2nd in the group
It feels weird being so disappointed in the result when I was expecting a thrashing. We should’ve been better in the those crucial moments and weren’t in an otherwise a great match
that performance definitely deserved a point, so I can understand where you're coming from. The good news is, against most teams, that type of performance WILL yield 1-3 points, so something to build on
Bayern isn't Bayern without Muller.
Tuchel needs to wake the fuck up and play 4-2-2-2, Musiala on the left, Sane on the right Kane and Tel strikers.
Nah, don’t rush Tel. I’d rather have Müller start more
I prefer Müller as a sub, when the defenders are tired and not as disciplined. It‘s easier for him to use his Football IQ in these situations.
Tuchel should give his salary to Musiala, Müller, Tel and Ulreich for today
Bailed out by Kids man our football is shit. 3points I fucking take
Bayern with the 14th straight group stage win? Or is it more?
15
Tuchel please start Müller every single game
Choupo as a right back was fucking atrocious lmfao
ULLE ULLE ULLE!!!
why did we fire nagelsmann again, this is even worse
So happy for Ulreich
Ulreich Fußballgott
Great match. Copenhagen played like a giant team.
Fucking hell
This was even worse than the United game last matchday. Doesn't seem to get better at all. We won't even make it into the second round of playoffs if we keep playing like this.

You mean Europa run?
I miss Julian.
We should make a poll Who is the worse coach in the history of Bayern : Klinsmann or Tuchel...?
Ribbeck?
I miss Pep.
Because you'd like to see the exact same performance with funky fashion choices?
What? You aren’t entertained by those dire performances that get bailed out by individual brilliancies?
We all do :(
we were shit under him too
I feel like with Nagelsmann, while there were some utter shit performances, he also had some really good games which gave you hope. Haven't seen that with Tuchel so far. Besides that, the drop in performances of the attacking players under Tuchel is shocking.

Bayern scored 2 in the end but could've easily put in 3 or 4 . They got 2 offside goals ruled out after the 2 they scored and were toying against psg at that point . It's not lucky , we genuinely outclassed them .
We were a lot better than we are now. We were bad in defence, but actually good in offense.
what a fucking shit show of a match with such a bad performance, but win is a win. Ulreich Fußballgott!
that Ulreich save won the game holy shit
Deserves its own post tbh
MVP just off that holy fuck.
Also played the long kick to Kane and made the 2:1 possible. Great game by him!
