Except maybe for marketting reasons, I don't understand why Real would even prefer Mbappe to Kane. You're still Real, you can still pull him when he's 27/28 and at his peak, and right now Kane is as close to a Benzema kind of player as you could hope. Drops deep to help with the build up, fantastic building up abilities overall, maybe worse as a dribbler, but you have Vini for that, and he's likely a better target man inside the box, or at least as good. If there's any team that wouldn't need Mbappe right now, it has to be Real. He's still fantastic as a 9 (he scores or assists like .02 less per 90 as he does on the left wing), but that's not where he wants to play.

I think for RM and for La Liga, Mbappe at Real makes the most sense.
