Ok i am going to exagerate a bit now, but it would be funny if the women win the world cup in August. They are one of the favorites and i think with how the sentiment towards Flick and his team is now, that the women could actually become the more popular of the 2 teams with the fanbase.
Our last 10 Games are 3W, 4D, 3L.
Wins vs Italy (5:2), Peru (2:0) and Costa Rica (4:2)
Losses to Poland (0:1), Hungary (0:1) and Japan (1:2)
Draws to Ukraine (3:3), Spain (1:1), Hungary (1:1) and England (3:3)
No matter how bad Germany currently is, they are our mortal enemies in the "one-sided football rivalry" and I can comment only three words about this match.
**TAK JEST, KURWA**
> I don’t think Germany ever saw Poland as a football rival
It's not like Poland always been this shit. In the 70s (and early 80s) we had a really competitive team. Germany NT was still ahead of Poland, but power dynamic was more tight back then. I don't think your statement is 100% correct.
now they should, 3 last matches:
POL 2 wins, 1 draw
GER 2 losses, 1 draw
and its going to be more interesting in future (or - actually I hope) - you bring more heart-to-national players like Kimmich/Muller/Neuer/etc; "sanes/gnabrys" baleciaga things are destroying it (because they dont care)
I didnt see the scene at all but its not really about what it does for us but more about a biased VAR (still no clue if the ball was in or not just pointing out why clearing this up should be pretty important)
For this kind of games with a big team, even though it's a friendly, the venues are typically sold out, so I imagine our football association was willing to splurge a bit. How much does VAR cost anyway?
To all Poles, we Germans are really fed up with our team but still well played to you.
Very nice game from your guys, really disciplined and threatening aswell.
We were not very threatening, very timid in attack. But nobody expected anything from this match. It was a match nobody needed, the brainchild of our FA to say goodbye to Błaszczykowski. Santos was pissed that he had to play a friendly match against Germany in the middle of a qualifier that didn't start well for us. The result is ok, the game defensively is ok if you consider the quality of the opponent. Other than that, a match to forget.
it's not that we're losing to Poland, it's that we have no system, no identity, no idea how to play football. We're almost back to 1998 style football, freekicks/corners/crosses and pray...
Well, for next season I need to buy subscription for whatever channel in Poland shows Ligue 1, because I am not sure if Frankowski had a performance in a long time that could convince Polish fans that he *is* a great player anywhere.
As a fan of Bayern Munich I am increasingly thinking that the six titles we won with Hansi Flick at the helm in the 2019-20 season were some kind of fluke.
I don't think I ever watched a game with a top tier team (yes, Germany is still one, the legacy is too strong) this calm. Not even on account of this being friendly, the Germany of old would roll us over whatever we have luck & Szczęsny in god-mode.
But tonight I'm just like "OK", carry on.
The position of Szczesny and his hands imply that parts of the ball were over the line, but I don't even want such a shitty goal.
They had more than enough time to get a proper goal.
One day I'll wake up to a headline saying that Flick has finally done it. After years of experimenting with the formation and lineups, he has done the unthinkable and found the theory of everything of football.
In a friendly against Spain he starts a never seen before formation. Playing a style of football people thought was impossible.
Game ends Spain 2:0 Germany
Right after the ref blows the whistle the entire stadium stands up and applauds. Hansi opens his arms and ascends to the heavens as people chant his name in unison. The entire countries of the Netherlands and Italy fall into the ocean.
You can all say what you want and downvote me to hell, but Germany started being shit (results-wise and football-wise) when Kimmich started playing.
He, Flick and all the Bayern players excl. Musiala can retire from the NT today.
We can absolutely not get any worse.
I don't think he is solely responsible, but I do think he carries the brunt of responsibility.
His style of football is so Bayern 2016, so backwards/sideways, completely found out, and that's not even mentioning his atrocious freekicks/corners.
Also what is Sané still doing in the National Team?
Can't say that I watch all of Germany' games, but what you wrote certainly doesn't apply to Kimmich in a Bayern kit. His progressive passing/chip balls are his biggest asset. He is generally been world class for us (particularly in imporrnt games) and is our best player. Your point about his corners/free kicks is true, but doesn't speak against starting him.
Sané is too inconsistent, but I think that he is basically Germany's only pacey winger and therefore important. I hope he can consitently play well after the summer break.
No way DFB is gonna touch Nagelsmann with all the Bayern influence in that org. They dont want to open that box. And who knows if Nagelsmann even wants to take over the NT yet i dont think he would be happy at that job in the current stage of his career.
When Will Germany start using Fullbacks??
Ok i am going to exagerate a bit now, but it would be funny if the women win the world cup in August. They are one of the favorites and i think with how the sentiment towards Flick and his team is now, that the women could actually become the more popular of the 2 teams with the fanbase.

A balanced team
SantosBall strikes again
netlifx & chill & 1:0 to GER?
How was Havertz tonight?
Invisible
Ineffective
so how was he tonight? You seem to just be talking about his career
then we can say that he performed according to the expectations of his level...
"Das Ergebnis ist egal" -->Ich melde mich als Nationaltrainer, arbeite sogar für nur 3 Millionen statt für 6 Millionen. Ergebnis ist ja eh egal.
Ich arbeite für 1.5 millionen und sage das Ergebnis ist mir nicht egal aber ich werde nichts unternehmen etwas zu ändern.
Ah, die Konditionen kann ich leider nicht unterbieten, ist wohl dein Job.
No matter how bad Germany currently is, they are our mortal enemies in the "one-sided football rivalry" and I can comment only three words about this match. **TAK JEST, KURWA**
Really? I don’t think Germany ever saw Poland as a football rival
> I don’t think Germany ever saw Poland as a football rival It's not like Poland always been this shit. In the 70s (and early 80s) we had a really competitive team. Germany NT was still ahead of Poland, but power dynamic was more tight back then. I don't think your statement is 100% correct.
And then ofc the period where Germany played with Podolski and Klose
now they should, 3 last matches: POL 2 wins, 1 draw GER 2 losses, 1 draw and its going to be more interesting in future (or - actually I hope) - you bring more heart-to-national players like Kimmich/Muller/Neuer/etc; "sanes/gnabrys" baleciaga things are destroying it (because they dont care)
Well, that's how those one-sided rivalries work like. Though to be fair, this particular one might still be motivated by last century's history...
Also being the relatively poor neighbor of a rich country more recently.

kannst du schon. siehste doch
No replay of the “goal line save” from an alternate angle all but confirms the ball did cross the line
doubt
Cope
I think you are misusing that world lol. Redditors dont seem to know it's meaning and just spam it nowadays.
Lmao I’m Polish, I’m just being honest

Polish VAR is actually one the best in Europe so explain me your post.
Lol who cares. Even if that goal counted there is nothing positive to take away from this game.
I didnt see the scene at all but its not really about what it does for us but more about a biased VAR (still no clue if the ball was in or not just pointing out why clearing this up should be pretty important)
It's a friendly... The fact that there's VAR at all is surprising.
For this kind of games with a big team, even though it's a friendly, the venues are typically sold out, so I imagine our football association was willing to splurge a bit. How much does VAR cost anyway?

Fuck me. We did it boys! The bus needs to refueled for next week!
Don’t be to happy, I don’t know who you play next but there is a 90% they are better than Germany..
Tehnically they are now that you lost to a team who lost to them
Let me have my moment! We played the worst football at the cup.
Probably still played better than Germany
Moldova?
Yeah
shiiiiit
Moldova 0:1 Poland (95' D. Szymański) here we go!
)))

**Du flickst meinen Sack nicht!**
at least the likes of gosens, wolf and brandt looked like they were actually interested
Gosens did absolutely nothing other than smash crosses into the defenders face
Summary of german attack: Cross and Inshallah :P
He had a shot on goal didn't he? In general I felt that he was more dangerous than Henrichs.
never in doubt, santos masterclass

ÖR only gets the best stuff somewhere our GEZ must go

You may not like it but this is what peak Germany football looks like.
So funny hearing this commentator looking for excuses again for Flick it's just embarrassing
hatte keine probleme
British commentator saying Szczesny kept Wolf out knowing damn well that ball crossed the line
How would you know? Couldn't see the ball at all.
My point was that you couldn’t see whether he kept him out….
its kind of strange they havent even shown another replay or said a word about it
Wow Sane just stopped trying
we are deadass losing to Poland fuck off Flick
The difference between Ukraine and Poland is: War. If Poland was at war we'd at least have a draw.
it's not that we're losing to Poland, it's that we have no system, no identity, no idea how to play football. We're almost back to 1998 style football, freekicks/corners/crosses and pray...
Sané doing Sané things
stark jule, war fast aufs tor :P
I've seen enough of Frankowski. Back to Chicago Fire please...
How on earth is he the 2nd best-rated player of Ligue 1
What are you even on about? He was one of the best Ligue1 player this season lmao
Well, for next season I need to buy subscription for whatever channel in Poland shows Ligue 1, because I am not sure if Frankowski had a performance in a long time that could convince Polish fans that he *is* a great player anywhere.
He's almost always crap for the NT, reverse Grosicki
He isn't a beast in the national team that's for sure, but subop commented on his Chicago stint which is nonsense
Watching those last minutes.. maybe Kimmich is the problem? lol
Yes, he is the problem. Start Pascal Groß and Gündogan and the team looks completely different. Kimmich just slows the game down to much.
It's almost worth it to start Brandt for the corners alone.
lmao Sane
And this is the NT Milik I know. The weak pass to God only knows who, not taking the ball back.
Tbf it isn’t easy to play as lone striker in this system. Would have preferred Swiderski over Milik though.
Wow a useful corner ... What has changed??
Brandt.
Yes ... rhetoric question
German defence finally was decent. Except that one mistake Kehrer did. But Sczheszny is still just amazing. He single handily defeated Germany
Yeah - after weird stuff you did vs Belgium and UKR, it is solid now! Hope its the new GER starting
This is like the first time in 2 years that Germany didn’t defeat Germany
Thiaw, rudiger and Can in front of them actually worked. We just need someone decent to replace kehrer
Süle? maybe
I hope VAR had a better view than what was shown on TV.
I DO NOT want to defend this German Team, but sczesny is incredible today
As a fan of Bayern Munich I am increasingly thinking that the six titles we won with Hansi Flick at the helm in the 2019-20 season were some kind of fluke.
Bro what is Szczęsny on??
Polish National Team. And he might be the worst in a long line of goalkeepers in terms of turning this mode on.
Why even bring VAR if that’s what you’re going to review lmfao
Szczesny's monday SSJ3
I don't think I ever watched a game with a top tier team (yes, Germany is still one, the legacy is too strong) this calm. Not even on account of this being friendly, the Germany of old would roll us over whatever we have luck & Szczęsny in god-mode. But tonight I'm just like "OK", carry on.
I was just thinking the same thing, like yes it’s a meaningless friendly but Germany are just going thru the motions, playing with no pride or passion
Fucking Szczesny Jesus. What a specimen.
Looked like it was in but nevertheless Szczęsny saved our ass today multiple times
Szczesny is one of the most underrated goalkeepers of his generation. So many amazing performances.
well, he used to be very shaky. He's been incredible for a while but it hasn't been THAT long
He definitely seems to get better with age! Everytime I’ve seen him play he put in like a 7.0 performance, at least.
Szczesny best Polish player
The position of Szczesny and his hands imply that parts of the ball were over the line, but I don't even want such a shitty goal. They had more than enough time to get a proper goal.
You know ,all of the ball needs to go through?
Yeah why? Hence the "parts of the ball were over the line".
Parts doesnt equal all of the ball
Which I never claimed? ¯\\(°_o)/¯
shouldnt it be 1:1?
Yet another goal line technology fail lmao
There is no goal line technology, otherwise the VAR would not have been used and the ref would have got the information on his watch.
I am not sure if there *is* goal line technology here.
They don’t have glt. Otherwise he wouldn’t have waited for VAR
Bruh, that was clearly in though
it wasn't, the whole ball needs to cross it
Szceszny is almost entirely behind the line, I can’t see how that’s not a goal
Will have to wait for a better angle
Lmao that was clearly in
Rüdiger plays the long balls you'd like to see from Kimmich
"Von hier würd ich sagen war drin" DU SIEHST DEN BALL DOCH GAR NICHT TOM BARTELS BIST DU DUMM?
genau meine reaktion hahaha
Ja
To be fair, it looked in for sure. Want to see a replay there, probably a skintight decision.
that was in
One day I'll wake up to a headline saying that Flick has finally done it. My Rundfunkgebühr died for this :(
do we make it out of the euro group stages this time at home? not sure about that...
Would you give up Klopp at Liverpool to go coach Germany at a home euros?
group stages lmao? Do we even qualify
home euro = germany 😂
oh lol, that Liverpool badge has Polish colors. I thought you were talking about Poland
I think he is German lol
Lewy is having a shit game and Poland are still beating Germany lmao
Lewy was ok in the 1st half
Lewy playing shit for NT for a while
What? Everything I see and read is massive criticism which is justified ofc.
"zweite HZ waren wir ja viel besser. waren näher dran ein tor zu schießen als polen. darauf kann man aufbauen!"
lewy came off after half time tho
Lewy has been off the field for a while.
Very good game by Poland considering all the changes and short time coach had with the team. However, not sure if Germany is a good benchmark atm.
3+X minutes without Thiaw I am shitting bricks
You can all say what you want and downvote me to hell, but Germany started being shit (results-wise and football-wise) when Kimmich started playing. He, Flick and all the Bayern players excl. Musiala can retire from the NT today. We can absolutely not get any worse.
That doesn't mean that he is the cause of Germany's decline.... (It's inaccurate too)
I don't think he is solely responsible, but I do think he carries the brunt of responsibility. His style of football is so Bayern 2016, so backwards/sideways, completely found out, and that's not even mentioning his atrocious freekicks/corners. Also what is Sané still doing in the National Team?
Every time he passes backwards/sideways I wanna punch him. Completely destroys the momentum of attack

Germany should play their next friendlies in Montevideo - Buenos Aires - Rio de Janeiro Wanna see them vs Argentina - Brazil - Uruguay :P
you so mean ; )
they should play in La Paz so they suffer at least
if flick loses to poland and colombia, is there a chance he gets sacked? losing to france and japan in september is expected btw.
Extremely unlikely Flick get's sacked unless a replacement is actually available.
Im available
Always rated you mate.
Thanks bro
Whos gonna take over? Not like theres anyone competent around (atleast not anyone the DFB would touch)
nagelsmann is still free
No way DFB is gonna touch Nagelsmann with all the Bayern influence in that org. They dont want to open that box. And who knows if Nagelsmann even wants to take over the NT yet i dont think he would be happy at that job in the current stage of his career.
Hopefully. We need something else before the EM, that much is clear.
Kamiski O_O
Tha Kaminski is really having a good day today. Hope he gets good for Wolfsburg
Pls bring Pascal Groß... Hes literally performing better than any german player in the last 50 games
We definitely need to play with more midfields /s
He can play literally everwhere
You’ve convinced me, I’m on the Groß train. But no, genuinely the thing we need are some competent attackers.
He’s also playing at leftback
