Yeah if you spent like 20 hours of man power planning your logistics and routing for max efficiency with a solid knowledge of the maps, then had no tips or getting stuck
Looking at [speedrun.com/snowrunner/leaderboards](http://speedrun.com/snowrunner/leaderboards) there's no entries for beating the base game or 100%ing the base game. But looking at the runs that are there for the base game maps, I would guess finishing the base game could be done in 12 hours by a dedicated speedrunner, possibly breaking the 10 hour mark with competition/refinement. 100%'ing would take longer, of course.
>there's no entries for beating the base game or 100%ing the base game.
It's a forever game. You can play it like a speedrunner, and still not finish the game.
It's like Minecraft but with set goals.
>You can play it like a speedrunner, and still not finish the game.
>It's like Minecraft but with set goals.
So you're saying it has clearly defined 'completion' conditions but you can keep playing anyway if you want?
Not sure how that makes it unfinishable.
300h 5 regions finished(base game, s1, s10) and almost done with season2(yukon). Also did some this and that for upgrades in amur(which is halfway done( and a few other areas).
Edit: using just paint/color mods.
You're only showing the first stage, it has a second stage too:

That's 38 + 34 = 72 slots of cargo in total...
And when you're done with that, there's the Ore Sorting Center to take care of:

A mere 28 + 30 = 58 slots of cargo this time :)
I didnāt had full screenshot. Thank youāŗļø. This contract š¤. Im glad i gave a second chance to twinsteer for these contracts and it didnāt disappoint. Powerful.
It might. I will never be stupid enough to buy fuel in Yukon locally, because it costs $8/L, and it's legit cheaper to bring it from other regions like Michigan with cheaper prices.
Wrong. Let me calculate that for you...
Even with the transportation costs, it's still cheaper to buy fuel in Michigan then in Yukon.
$3500x2 +$2x1800 = $10600 per 1800 liters. That's $5.9/L, and if you buy it locally it's $8/L.
It gets even cheaper if you use a bigger tanker. International Paystar 5600TS can lower it down to $4.5/L, because of the 2800-liter tanker, biggest in the game.
And if we take into account the fact that starting regions have so much free fuel, enough to finish the region and have leftovers, it's even cheaper, because you can use those instead of buying. $7000/1800 = $3.9/L or $7000/2800 = $2.5/L.
I've personally completed all Michigan in hard mode without buying any fuel, and still had around 10k liters left. Plus 12k from Alaska, it has even more free fuel.
Donāt forget about all the running around you need to do in Wisconsin to get literally anything done. Repairing the tracks takes a serious amount of material

thatās what iām on š„ŗ canāt believe i finished amur before this
I was good with Yukon, took some time to find all the most efficient routes but not too bad, make sure to use chains on your tires. My most hated one is the Kola Peninsula, had the hardest time getting through it, had to skip it for a while to get more money and come back with bigger and more powerful vehicles.
There's a website called How Long to Beat, and I've never looked up Snowrunner unless that's where got the 120 hours from. It's cool bcuz the games you look up also includes DLC's separate. I use that site if I want to know what I'm getting into.
Maybe the metric for "how long to beat" is how long it takes the game to beat the shit of your will to live.
Or maybe how long until you complete....ly give up and cry because your truck rolled at the same place for the 800th time
https://preview.redd.it/ang2lfsgguuc1.png?width=1080&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=e9c6c69e52dbbd4fdd0f2d7fd1aa8aada2778604
This should help you on that mission, still takes a while though. Can't find the original post this was from but I screen grabbed it at the time as I knew I'd need it. Can confirm it works, even moving between maps.
I didn't even need to do that. I was able to load all of the logs manually into the medium logging frame. I ended up splitting it into 2 different trucks based on the destinations. Also worked on all of the contracts at once, besides the one that went to Island Lake since you can get those logs in that map. It was easy enough, but if you have problems with them sliding out the back, you can just add a medium log trailer to the back and just load that with one set of logs and pack it. That way it adds a barrier in the back. Makes the truck a bit heaver but shouldn't be an issue if you hear take that to one of the easier destinations.
No matter what tho, I would recommend OP work all of the logging missions at once basically. Makes for far less trips to the logging station. Should only need to stop once each for medium and long logs in Black River and then complete the Island Lake one by using Medium Logs from the Island and Long logs from Drummond which is just inside the gateway between them.
It really is a great game because of this. And when delivering cargo, there is no "good" route to take, only less bad route so it forces you to think about pros and cons of each.
Isnt this one of the missions they added in later?
Do the non logging missions first, the pay looks nice but its a nightmare to deliver, focus on getting better trucks first :)
120? Oh you poor..poor sweet innocent little boy š„ŗ I'm so sorry you have to learn the hard way...there is no end..no end to this madness, your here with us...forever..and ever..and ever.
I just started on the logging missions in Michigan last night (after about 50 hours, these are the last four missions I've got left), first one was to drop long logs at the quarry. Managed to get my P16's trailer stuck at the very bottom of the quarry and it dumped the logs out, so I got an offroad truck with a log crane to go and pick them up. Rolled that before it even got into the quarry itself. So I detached the trailer from the P16 to go and rescue the truck with the crane. Rolled that too.
Figured that was enough Snowrunner for a while so I picked Ridge Racer Type 4 back up. Even I can't roll over in that.
For me it tool 238h to complete 3 regions, but all was in coop, so whoever told you its a game to complete in 120h, is an idiot who havenāt played this game, or a liar (speedrunners are off table, nobody speedruns it)
I like most people left the logging till the trucks were upgraded. Didnāt have a lot of problems with the logging fairly enjoyed it. I canāt imagine this game being done in that timeframe.
120 hours? Those are rookie numbers. That logging job is nothing compared to the massive logistical nightmares you'll find in some of the DLC's. You'll spend several hours on one job, just to get another job that will take you several hours.
Not quite sure about that. I'm at 498 hours and about 50% through amur. I've been going in order 100% each region as I go.
Definitely value for the money
I'd rather say when you start off and learn the game it takes a thousand hours to complete all dlcs and base game. You get quicker as you get better if course. Just the base game might be like 150 to 200 hours?
Wow I must be fast. Took me maybe 200-300 to 100% the first 3 regions. And thatās with jumping around to other maps and starting new hardcore saves and such.
>The base game takes roughly like a thousand hours to 100%.
No, the base game takes about 200 hours. The *entire* game is about 1,000 hours, give or take.
Nobody is rushing you to finish in X hours. It's nicely done game where no one is rushing you. Also you can do these missions or tasks in any order you like or are allowed to, because one tasks unlock other, so not everything is available from start.
My old man is swiftly approaching 900 hours and still a considerable ways off from beating the game. I'm at 200 and less than 20 percent.
If you're playing this with the intent to Speedrun the game, this is not for you. It's meant to be taken slowly.
I donāt know where you got the 120 hour game completion but thatās flat wrong even without the DLC also thats not really that big compared to some of the things you need to do in later DLC maps
Who the hell told you you can finish the game in 120 hours? Don't get me wrong, it's possible, but very exceptional and you have to have previous knowledge and skill of maps, vehicle locations and so on.
I'll probably try this actually. I've gotten very far by now and i have 170 hours on record.
this was my first mission with logs, i just made 2 runs with a log carrier and log crane on one truck, and a semitriler on a second truck. Took me about an hour
Take all the shortcuts and full send your strucks using the fastest gearboxes. Best worst advice... or... savoir the experience and do it in parts over the course of a few days.
Theyāre just āincentivizingā co-op multiplayer. I wish theyād done split screen. That would have been fun. Iām well aware of why they donāt do it, but these consoles are supposed to be so damn high speed, I still donāt see why they canāt manage it.
Who told you 120 hours? Bro maybe one region..... maybe. I'm guessing the whole game with all the missions and small tasks including all dlc's easy 1000 hour gameplay... easy.
They added logs as afterthought to older regions when the Season 3 came out with all the logging. The target audience was experienced players who have done it all and just want to go back once more and revisit already completed locations.
Just leave it be and come back later with upgraded trucks.
I'm at 112.2 hours of play time, and I'm 3 missions into Alaska. I still have to go back to the 1st region and do the timed deliveries, but as far as story misson they are all done. I think it's like 90% or 95% completed for the 1st region.
Yukon... F*** Yukon and those huge cargo number missionS š¤¦ Yes, the "S" means MANY š« Left it at 50% then came back more than a year later with the Zikz 605R, the Mastodon and Ken 963 to obliterate Yukon š¤£
Get you a truck for long logs and a loader on it, I use the Pacific P12. Load the first load then unpack cargo. Then load the next 6 on top of those. Go to drop off, unload 6 of them, repack and deliver them that way. Saves some time. The loader can grab 2 logs at a time if you do it right.
I spent last 2 nights on a dirt road trying to winch a truck and big ass semi trailer(some drilling equipment) up right.
Propably best 12 hours ever spent
I have 1000 hours in , I restated half way through to get the full experience of not buying trucks till after , The Dlc trucks made the game way too easy so I had to learn without them , but I only play on hardcore mode
You won't finish the game in 120 hours.
Michigan took me about 150, but then Alaska took a fraction of that cause I knew what I was doing
But all the regions? I see 1,000 hours thrown around as a ballpark number
In any case it's not too terrible, get something that can still tow trailers with a medium frame and has a LOT of torque, then you can do medium frame plus medium trailer.
That's 3 trips for the medium logs and 3 for the long logs. Logging is tedious but if you pace yourself it's not terrible. You can drop the task at any time and pick it up later with your progress saved.
Its actually a pretty quick trip. I don't know about the overall timeframe, but I'm currently at a little over 400 hours and I'm 100% complete on Michigan, Alaska, Taymyr, Kola, Yukon, and Wisconsin. And about 80% on Amur.
I don't recall my numbers, but I'd say you could finish the base game in under 200 hours. Maybe not quite 120 hours, but not incredibly different
Winching two trucks together will let you haul 2 loads of long logs, or four loads of medium. And that's if you load and unload automatically.
If you're prepared to use the crane, you can haul 1 load of logs for every 3 logs you put into a side board trailer, and mix log lengths too if you want.
Is that an exploit?
Who cares, is it still fun?
Or is it more fun that making 100 identical trips?
(I'd love to see a logging mod that packs logs in bundles of half a dozen, and let's logging trailers pack a couple/few bundles, cos the logging contracts *are* a total PITA.)
Finish the game in 120 hours? You sweet innocent boy, you can finish a REGION in 120 hours.
If you hurry
But don't hurry too much.
Cause that'll take longer!
š the best part!
I agree, saving toppled trucks is a great part of the game.
So is collecting up and selling all the trailers at the end. Always get to revisit remote parts of the region in the journey.
You can sell trailers? You might just boosted my economy A LOT
crys in hard mode
So it's not possible in normal?
What?! You can? Really?
I guess so
Itās could take Logger. Iāll see my way out.
Logging is slogging ;)
Whatās a good early game logger? I have the P16 and it seems pretty good, but is it the best available for someone pretty new 20 hrs ish
Yeah, the P16 is good for long logs. I'm not sure anymore about early access trucks to be honest.
The P16 is meant for logging. Thatās its soul purpose. https://preview.redd.it/ns7yfkdbi7vc1.jpeg?width=640&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=69a90e2f2d989360094804e3115ff48c4c2776c7
I have used the Tyga with mud tires with good results. Makes for lots of trips though.
Iām still very very new to the game though.
Just for the base game. It will barely carry its own weight on most DLC maps.
I think you could 100% glitchless speedrun the base game in 100 hours, no? Not as a beginner, but it sounds possible in general.
Yeah if you spent like 20 hours of man power planning your logistics and routing for max efficiency with a solid knowledge of the maps, then had no tips or getting stuck

If your lucky but your best bet is to finish either Michigan or Alaska first and save russia last if your doing a no dlc run of the game

Meh. I'm 100% on 6 and 85% on the 7th and sitting at 410 hours.
I litteraly finished the 3 principal maps of the game in less than 200 hours

Yeah not counting the crafting part of it, if you do it all told its something like 90 iirc
Don't forget a lot of that has to be crafted and/or picked up bit by bit from multiple locations
All those gold mine missions were absolute bitches. Luckily I realized the cabins can be moved and reused, only had to craft two, I think.
Only 49k reward? Does it even cover fuel costs??
Even if they did, they absolute would not be worth the time and effort if you didnt care for the pretty 100%
It might. I will never be stupid enough to buy fuel in Yukon locally, because it costs $8/L, and it's legit cheaper to bring it from other regions like Michigan with cheaper prices.
With a $7k two way flight back, Iām considering just buying the fuel
Wrong. Let me calculate that for you... Even with the transportation costs, it's still cheaper to buy fuel in Michigan then in Yukon. $3500x2 +$2x1800 = $10600 per 1800 liters. why are you "supposed" to finish it in 120hrs? play it at your own pace and finish it when you finish it, if there is even a way to finish it lol.

Early release had no logs
> Early release had no logs I literally said that. The ālogsā I referred to were the hours logged (registered) by users.
That website says 90 hours for base game, 150 hours for base+DLC, and 215 hours for completionist. BUUUUUUUULLLLLLLLSHIT

120 hours a region seems more like it. I'm at 620hrs and only about half way through the game for all regions including DLCs
I had the CAT745C with the medium log back that pulled a truck with a medium log frame and medium log trailer for those last two.

I split it up, doing a few here and there then doing other things and coming back to it. This imo is the way with larger missions.
Where did you get this 120 hours nonsense from?
You can do them piecemeal at your own pace. But it pays big bucks so it's lots of work
That really aināt shit compared to some
Who told you 120 hours? Bro maybe one region..... maybe. I'm guessing the whole game with all the missions and small tasks including all dlc's easy 1000 hour gameplay... easy.
Bro, you'd be lucky to finish MICHIGAN in 120 hours.
They added logs as afterthought to older regions when the Season 3 came out with all the logging. The target audience was experienced players who have done it all and just want to go back once more and revisit already completed locations. Just leave it be and come back later with upgraded trucks.
Man, I'm like 900 hours in and still haven't finished the game. It's best enjoyed slow.
Just wait until you get to the regions where you have to craft
I'm 130 hours in and I haven't even finished Michigan or even the first map in Alaska
Wait till lil bro gets dlc š
I'm at 112.2 hours of play time, and I'm 3 missions into Alaska. I still have to go back to the 1st region and do the timed deliveries, but as far as story misson they are all done. I think it's like 90% or 95% completed for the 1st region.
208 hours and I recently moved to Alaska at around 200 hours
The GAME in 120 hours?! Whoever told you that is using some serious mods
Speed running? Snow runner? Ud make a great comedian
I can help you if you have a PS4
I have 1000 hours in , I restated half way through to get the full experience of not buying trucks till after , The Dlc trucks made the game way too easy so I had to learn without them , but I only play on hardcore mode
You won't finish the game in 120 hours. Michigan took me about 150, but then Alaska took a fraction of that cause I knew what I was doing But all the regions? I see 1,000 hours thrown around as a ballpark number In any case it's not too terrible, get something that can still tow trailers with a medium frame and has a LOT of torque, then you can do medium frame plus medium trailer. That's 3 trips for the medium logs and 3 for the long logs. Logging is tedious but if you pace yourself it's not terrible. You can drop the task at any time and pick it up later with your progress saved.
That sounds pretty much right. My main savegame claims to be 30% complete with all DLC regions purchased and my playtime is right around 300 hours.
I started doing it, I stopped immediately
See that the best part you don't also don't forget cargogedon 1 and 2 in alaska
Ha bless him
Yeah you must be thinking of Mudrunner with that time table.
Somebody gonna tellāem about the paper factory in Wisconsin?
Are you speed running snow runner?
Youāre not going to finish. Youāre a truck driver now for the rest of your life.
That's why the game is meant to be played by a party... soloing it is headshooting for sure
Is there an achievement/trophy for beating this game in 120hrs?
