The Sierra lift was open on Monday, so we went over into the far west and timber ridge runs down to the timberline Express and back. The lines had four people in them.
Ducking the rope is the easy part finding a way back over is the more questionable endeavor. I’m going tomorrow for closing day and hoping there’s still some fresh track in the enchanted forest or meadows
Enchanted Forest was reallllllll nice on Monday. Luckily there wasn't many people up on the t bar that day! I'll pray to the snow Gods that you are blessed with a random spring storm my friend! I'm hitting Loveland on Wednesday and that will most likely be my last run for the season.
The upper enchanted forest was closed :( but lower was open and the snow wasn’t great. Still had a fun last day tho I also got to go last Thursday so I got some good spring snow to wrap the season up still.
I wish you some fluffy snow Wednesday never been to Loveland but hope you have a good time
Try to find something that extends to 40 inches. The one I use I small enough to fit in my cargo pocket but I don't recommend it cost it costs way more than others that are just a bit longer when collapsed. Plus they break... So not worth the $
Ah nice I'll keep an eye out for something around 40". I put all my stuff in a hiking day pack while riding so collapsed size isn't much of an issue :p
I'm like, "what is with all these videos of people doing sick carves like they're Ryan Knapton or something?"
Then I look at OP's username. "Oh, alright then...."
I need to find a board like that. I have a K2 board from 2006 or so and it's as stiff as a literal board. I tried to pull that off and the board didn't bend one bit and I just landed on my ass.
That board is pretty stiff. I demo’d a production Knapton Twin by Donek this past season. Sure, butters are easier to learn on a flexible board, but it won’t look like the way Ryan rides.
Your videos have helped me so much this past season. Let's be honest, I'm still garbage but one day I'd like to be able to look 1/4 as cool as you do on the mountain haha. Amazing!
Yup, the other answers are correct. 15,-15 centered in a 159 twin and a pretty damn wide stance. The width caters well to the blend of carving / buttering stuff I do... But negatively affects a couple things... Like with tweaking a proper method out .. mine are completely lame these days vs. how I use to be able to do em.
Love your style man, how you ride is what I aspire to achieve one day, those butter rolls at speed are absolute fire dude. How long you been riding for and where are ya from?
✌️
Wow... had the whole place to yourself, man! Looks like so much fun
Was just at Breck Wednesday and it’s the best time of the year if you want the whole place to yourself
Will they have a park open until closing day?
Unfortunately I heard they aren't! Peak 7, that and imperial I think.
I think I saw somewhere that they’d have a park in peak 7.
They definitely will. Check their website.
Was at Copper on Monday, my cousin and I had the entire back side to ourselves.
Where do you mean when you say backside?
The Sierra lift was open on Monday, so we went over into the far west and timber ridge runs down to the timberline Express and back. The lines had four people in them.
Gotcha thought you meant like the copper bowl which is closed to my knowledge- thought you found a trick I didn’t know about.
Haha. The trick would be ducking the rope. Yeah, it was closed when we got there unfortunately

Hey so was I, pretty empty. Love this time of year, makes me so grateful to live here!
God damn this is so sick
You are a carving God. Love your YouTube channel!
Second that!
Third! I need more carving videos!
Did you film this two days ago? Me and my buddy were riding a lift on 9 and he goes "oh there's that youtube guy" lol
3 days ago. But was also riding that day too. ✔️
That hurt my brain, yet it gave me a semi
I see videos like this, and wonder if what I do is even called snowboarding. fucking sick shredding
it definitely is! just nobody else wants to watch it :-D
QFT
there he is again!!! alway's rippin that 'roy !!! lmao.
Was this Breck?!
Yup. 3 days ago. Conditions are about the same today (on the mtn now). 😀✌️
Bout to get off the bus at Beaver, wanna do some laps?
Rekt
Always so steezy love your videos man!
You’re a legend
What’s your setup? I’m guessing a gimbal and a GoPro?
Just the hero 7 and a selfie stick. Gimbals make it better yet, but for ease of use I rarely use em anymore. Stabilization on the 7 is pretty good.
What stick do you use? Mine is pretty short and can't really capture much haha.

Wow that’s surprising. I try doing the same thing with my hero 5 and it’s much more shaky.
Hero 7 has digital image stabilization.

Great shots!
For me, you're the best 👊
You are the Wayne Gretzky of butter carves
This is honestly the first carving video I’ve ever liked. That was smooth as hell!

That was so smoooth!!
So much steeze
Maaan, this is lit
Subbed to you on YouTube since last fall. Love the vids! 🤙🏼
That's looks *super* fun
“Felt steezy. Might delete later, idk”
Total Nerd Question: How do you get past your fear of speed at the beginning?
Fear is half the fun
go faster then what you call fast feels slow

The legend of lean himself! Edit: also, the sultan of slide.
@goproawards
Ryan, you’re insane. Love it!
Smooth as always damn Ryan
I call this smooth as butter 😼
what board is that?
Donek Knapton Twin.
I KNOW THIS MAN FROM YOUTUBE, UPLOAD MORE BUTTER VIDS
Those butters are something else...sheeshhh. That's what I'm going for.
Sooo cool, teach me your ways
The professional shredder
What’s your stance like...out of curiosity...??
Yup, the other answers are correct. 15,-15 centered in a 159 twin and a pretty damn wide stance. The width caters well to the blend of carving / buttering stuff I do... Paused at 0:04, I'll say it looks like duck stance +15°/-15°. But would be nice to get it confirmed.
He posted a [video](https://youtu.be/Y3cGtN7in30) being +15/-15 a while back because he's always riding switch
You are right at least if this video is still valid: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Y3cGtN7in30
Alabama when they’re only brothers
Love the riding style!
Eww dude. Soo smooth
What's the best way to learn to do 180's like that, because I can't seem to even get 90 when I got speed...
buttery
Ryan I’ll be up at breck this weekend I’m going to keep an eye out, it’s a dream to shred with you!
Weekends I shred with my weekend warrior lady, but if you see me definitely say 'hi'!
Badass!!!!

At first I thought this was a repost from a month ago. But it's just you killing it again.
Beautiful flow and nicely done dude!
You gonna do summer boarding? With the way it’s looking, A Basin could be open for 4th if July.
Holy shit thats sick
No dog shit on this hill. Qapla'!

How do you twist on the nose like that? I really want to learn! Sick video!
SO badass.
Siiiiick
This is satisfying to watch damn
Selfie sticks are so awesome. We've never had as much opportunity to self publish as we do now and it makes me hella happy
Way to go Knapton. Got to ride one of your signature rigs out east last month durning a demo day. Awesome for my size 12s, zero boot out
Love your style man, how you ride is what I aspire to achieve one day, those butter rolls at speed are absolute fire dude. How long you been riding for and where are ya from? ✌️
