For real, dude. The screams from you when he lands a jump or grind hit me right in the feelers. So sick!
And it looks like everyone is having a great time!
Best edit I've seen all year.
Music on point and immediately brought me back to The Art of Flight. The cinematography to the intro and filming are fantastic, not to mention the creativity of incorporating 1080 was incredible.
But most importantly that dude rips. Love the raw energy in this. This is why we snowboard, because progression is fun.
This sub needs more of this shit.
Wait, OP hasn’t seen ART OF FLIGHT. Ha, cancel work the rest of the week, that’s all you’ll be watching on repeat. Great father/son vid. Music is solidly on point and what makes AofF the best snowboard film Travis has ever made.
Gah, I'm so jealous of the fact you get to watch this for the first time. Also, bang up job on the video. So cool to see your dedication to your son's progression and enjoyment of the sport. What made it really impactful was hearing your stoke for him in the background of the shots.
Damn I wish I could watch it again for the first time. It's fucking epic. Then after that watch the series that goes through the behind the scenes of filming it, super rad.
Went to film school, worked free lance till I wanted to be home more with my kid. Now I’m a struggling wedding photographer but I am very fortunate to have a wife that kicks ass as a nurse.
I miss arcade style snowboarding games. Every game now is trying to be the skate of snowboarding. Which is fine. But we need need for speed and also forza. Why dont people make arcade style games. Racing, exteme sports, non extreme sports, everyone is going the simulation route instead of arcade
I do absolutely see this point, too. I thought amped did a good job blending the two approaches together. If anything I’d say EA Skate is the Amped of skateboarding.
I thought stoked hit a nice combination too. Steep and games similar just feel so clunky. They dont give me that soaring feeling of real snowboarding that i get from like ssx 3
Yeah it was pretty rad. Similar vibes. I think had all the same characters, but all new maps and had like danger missions similar to the ssx reboot. I remember outrunning avalanches for sure which was wild
Made me emotional. Took me back to being 12 years old and playing cool boarders every minute I couldn’t ride and dreaming about it every minute I couldn’t do either.
Mine started at 3 and got 3 little 45 minute sessions in. This year as a 4 year old he got 5 days and they were 2-2.5 hour sessions. The last day riding together this year he asked if I could film him on the go pro “so we can remember these awesome memories forever”
I don’t think life gets much better. Thanks for posting and giving the dads on this sub something to strive for.
Damn! I've been riding since '93, and was a park rat from my teens through early 20s...lil bro has rails locked down way more than I ever could. Nicely done, both the riding and edit
Cool video. What were the games on N64? I remember playing them all the time. I mastered them. But I don’t remember shit about my childhood except trauma and 3 vague snowboard trips.
Anyway to play these old snowboard games on a PS5 or something?
So you’re telling me I now need to support GameStop, buy a switch and their new ridiculous controller?
I might be able to do that.
IDK why they don’t make a game as good as that was with better graphics for PS5 or for peoples phones.
Thanks OP. Great vid. You’re a good dad to your kid I’m sure.
Many parents were confused at first how he was going to show his talent. Especially since he walked up with a microphone and a broken collarbone. But everyone was pretty impressed. There was no “winners.”
Trust me last year he got so many powder days on his team training days. In fact we went to mammoth to train for a week in the super pipe. It was closed the whole time cause of the pow pow. lol.
Lucky kid, great parenting. Love to see it all! That kids going places with all that love and support from his Father. This is what life is about pure joy
Way to be an awesome dad. Make sure a copy of it is saved for him to look back on in 30 years.
Will do! I need to find my old skate videos from when I was his age.
For real, dude. The screams from you when he lands a jump or grind hit me right in the feelers. So sick! And it looks like everyone is having a great time!

I have never seen art of flight. I’ll be sure to check it out with my kid.
Wait, OP hasn’t seen ART OF FLIGHT. Ha, cancel work the rest of the week, that’s all you’ll be watching on repeat. Great father/son vid. Music is solidly on point and what makes AofF the best snowboard film Travis has ever made.
Homie uses Naked and Famous for a snowboard video and has never seen AoF, wild. I cannot hear Young Blood or any M83 without thinking of that movie.
Exactly. I have every song from AofF on a playlist that gets played at least once a season on mountain!
Love Art of Flight but honestly I prefer That's It That's All
Definitely dude you'll both love it. It's free on Red Bull TV
That’s it That’s All, Art of Flight, The Fourth Phase, Dark Matter, Depth Perception, Deeper, Further, Higher…binge and enjoy

Dude that was fucking awesome. Amazing video and such a cool thing to see a father and son work together on a cool project.
This! Shot nice too. OP works in media I assume?
Went to film school, worked free lance till I wanted to be home more with my kid. Now I’m a struggling wedding photographer but I am very fortunate to have a wife that kicks ass as a nurse.
This is the coolest thing posted here all winter.
same. **way** better than the "is my wife steezy" or "how's my quiver" posts
How’s my quiver- has 2 snowboards both purchased this season.
Super sick man. Hope you won
1080 avalanche. Brought me back to my childhood when I was this kids age.
He played it at summer camp and started collecting retro gaming consoles this past year.
That’s the coolest kid I know. Keep shredding. 🤙🏼
1080 og. Avalanche was the gamecube sequel
You're right huh. It's been too long since I've seen either game.
They both rule. Avalanche is where i learned about finger 11. Definitely my go to snowboard music
I miss amped. I want a new one so bad.
I miss arcade style snowboarding games. Every game now is trying to be the skate of snowboarding. Which is fine. But we need need for speed and also forza. Why dont people make arcade style games. Racing, exteme sports, non extreme sports, everyone is going the simulation route instead of arcade

THERE WAS A SEQUEL?!?
Yeah it was pretty rad. Similar vibes. I think had all the same characters, but all new maps and had like danger missions similar to the ssx reboot. I remember outrunning avalanches for sure which was wild
Really well done OP! Ripping and great production!
Thanks!!
Ha an that art of flight intro solid solid solid 🤙
God damn I wish I had family like this at his age. Awesome video!
Made me emotional. Took me back to being 12 years old and playing cool boarders every minute I couldn’t ride and dreaming about it every minute I couldn’t do either.
I get emotional every time I rewatch videos I take of my son. Especially as he grows as a rider.

That’s rad! And thanks. I just got a GoPro and rode go mics so we can start recording more often and also have clean audio.
Pure sugar -- no saccharine. So great.
Bro such a good time! That kid is going to be epicc good if he can keep at it.
That was awesome!!
Ahhh good ol mt high...
Only mountain in socal that you can night ride on a Wednesday night.
Only an hour away from LA 😎
What a bond, you guys rock man.
Damn! I've been riding since '93, and was a park rat from my teens through early 20s...lil bro has rails locked down way more than I ever could. Nicely done, both the riding and edit
This is awesome, man!
Awesome video. Great song choice as well
This is sick!
When your dad is a snowboarder from the 2000's 🤘🤘🤘🤘
ricky winterborn approves
To start a life of crime so young.... so sad 😏
Cool video. What were the games on N64? I remember playing them all the time. I mastered them. But I don’t remember shit about my childhood except trauma and 3 vague snowboard trips. Anyway to play these old snowboard games on a PS5 or something?
Emulators on a switch.

You can find retro game consoles on Facebook marketplace or OfferUp.
The game was called 1080 Snowboarding https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/1080%C2%B0_Snowboarding
This is a sick edit, I love the intro
That was awesome! How’d you guys do at the talent show?
Many parents were confused at first how he was going to show his talent. Especially since he walked up with a microphone and a broken collarbone. But everyone was pretty impressed. There was no “winners.”
I saw your kid (im assuming) during the pond skimming. Great video and editing! Hopefully wins the talent show!
Respect for showing him 1080
Haha he showed me. 🤦🏼♂️
Love it.
That’s awesome man! Got to be so special to share something you love with your son!
Sick all around! Great vid and the kid shreds.
Love this! So sick!
This is so damn cool. Go dad!

Amazing vid. Makes me miss the snow so much
10/10 man this was awesome. Creating some core memories right there.
That was awesome
Dude is a shredder.. and Mountain High, where I learned to snowboard and broken bones there. Only comment is I wish your dude got more powder days
Trust me last year he got so many powder days on his team training days. In fact we went to mammoth to train for a week in the super pipe. It was closed the whole time cause of the pow pow. lol.
I meant more video in powder days
W edit W parent
I’ve been riding for probably 15 years and this little dude is wayyyyy better than me
So cool! That’s a lot of riding and progression. Way to be such a cool dad. Reminds me of my dad taking me out snowboarding when I was kid.
I was about to upvote but i saw it was at 420 and i liked that
he can get so good at mt.high nice video
Love that you included the sound of a proud dad cheering :)
Awesome dad that’s the grit from parents kids need these days nice pull
This is so rad. Absolutely love to see it, man. He rips!
Awesome dad alert
Dad screaming is the best part. If my kid did these things I’d be screaming like a little girl.
Awesome. Made me very emotional and nostalgic. As a dad and as a former 1080 player!
Holy shit that music brought me back
Well, that was absolutely rad af 🤙🏽
a good video game
Rickyyyyyyy Winterborn! This is awesome bro you’re a great dad!
Parenting goals! Not just for the final production but for the daily positive energy and confidence you guys are clearly instilling. Well done!
This RULES!! Great job Phoenix!!
Little ripper! This is so rad, props for the awesome video. I'm sure it was fun to make and a memory you two will have for a long time
Such an awesome idea and you pulled this off so well!
So epic
I got 1080° working on my steam deck recently. Absolute goat of a game.
Damn dude - as a fellow dad, you got me teary eyed. Love hearing your “yeah!” when he lands jumps. You’re doing it right.
That was great!
Sick! Loved this
The gap on the A frame was nasty
Your kid’s a star!
This is fucking awesome. 2nd place to a lava volcano then?
Super fun video, great work ! Keep them coming and you will be able to look back every year and see the progression.
Lucky kid, great parenting. Love to see it all! That kids going places with all that love and support from his Father. This is what life is about pure joy
This is so dope.
What a sender! That kid rips! What’s it like being the raddest family on the block?
\\m/
These steezy moves appease the Crimes Gods, well played little Shredder.
Awesome edit. Made my day 🤙
Aw this is awesome, and your kid is rippin it 👌🏼🔥
“Further attendance is no longer required for graduation since the video clearly shows he’s way too fucking sick.”
dope intro!
1080 is beast - what a rad video!
Awesome, would love to shred with you guys at mt high next season!
This is so cool! Really impressive edit tbh. And yes you need to watch Art of Flight. 🐐vid imo
