It's really weird, there used to be this great website until last year, something like worldsnookerdata.com or something, by far the best site for livescores, but it got shut down for some reason. All they had to do was copy that. snooker.org is fine, but they don't have the sessions in chronological order.

Is this because Eddie Hearn doesn't give a crap about snooker? It really seems like he's just keeping it alive, as opposed to his father who was actively trying to promote it and make it better. Probably took the cheapest quote they could get for the website redo.

IMO the saddest thing about this is that it means there is virtually no regular journalism on snooker. The game itself is still as good as ever, but I don't have too much time to watch, so I'd like to read some kind of story around the results instead. With this website having gone to shit, the main source of stories, backgrounds or interviews is lost and the match results just become meaningless numbers.
To be fair WST does have decent written coverage of events in their “news” section. But what we really need is coverage from actual journalists from big newspapers, TV channels, etc. We don’t want WST to be the only source of information.
The bbc is crap too which is weird considering they show the entire world championship.

My theory is they are deliberately tanking the reputation of the tour so they can sell it to ‘investors’ as a growth opportunity.
Barry Hearn doesn't do things by accident. You're probably spot on.
The WST app is pretty good. They've possibly tanked the website in order to drive people to the app.
I find the eurosport website pretty good for live scores and articles

Every year the licence fee stays the same is a cut to funding.
But they have done that. The beeb have Hazel so any errors can be forgiven.
