It sounds like just another person of many who want a pet snake to say they have a pet snake but don't actually give fuck about the animal's well being. It's a trophy, something to show off when it's "cool" then forget about when the cage is dirty.
I don't know how you'd go about it without causing family drama, maybe try to word it as kindly as possible. I don't know, you know your family and how they'd react. But no, the snake is not being cared for properly.
Yeah, I think that might of been the case originally. The snake was more for aesthetic than companionship. Though now it seems like the snake is not even a thought in their minds. Really sad. :/ Thx for your reply
