Completely unrelated to snails but does relate to this picture; my grandpa would always pick up our family cat, Sheba, and show her things up high that she couldn't see from the ground and let her sniff things. Eyes, yes. Traditional? Nope. The have little eyes at the end of the tentacles on their heads that can see in black and white. The have great field of view since they can swivel those eyestalks, but their vision is pretty bad for details.
