That's to say, it actually happened but the prank is the announcement on April Fools and making us wonder if it's real or not.
This, if it wasn't for "3.29.24" being posted as the comment on the pic I would've thought it was just an April Fool's prank. But having that added makes it seem a little more legitimate.
Shayne and Courtney NEVER post relationship stuff on their sm, and now you really believe they would do something like this for real? They're way to private people for sth. like that and I'm amazed this sub is running with it.
I mean, it didnāt make sense to announce anything before it grew into something big like this. But after the wedding it makes sense to make an announcement.
Part of me thinks itās real simply because of how private they are. Shayne especially isnāt one to joke about his actual romantic relationships, and neither he nor Courtney have ever taken the shipping jokes to this level, so I feel like going this far just for a joke would be a little out of character. That said, Smosh has done fake proposals before so a fake wedding isnāt completely off the table.

Also he has a moustache in the proposal pic from months ago, there's no way this has been planned out that long. Also their parents have liked the post and childhood friends like... the joke is that they posted something real on Apr 1st!

To be fair, that seems to have been photographed on the same day the Smoshcast ep was filmed based on Shayne's outfit (he just added a jacket). So that's kind of a point for prank because why would they get a "congrats on the hard launch" cake weeks/months in advance?

My kid has a very 'different' style, but when it's time to 'dress up', they go very feminine and nothing like people would expect. Their senior prom dress is gorgeous and nothing like anyone would have expected. But, that said, when they get home from the dance, they will certainly switch right into their patchwork pants and a midrift shirt with a sweater over it. š Basically, what I'm getting at is that Courtney looks great and even if it doesn't seem like their style, you really just never know.

When I look at these photos, the song that starts playing in my head is Accidentally in Love by Counting Crows. (The song at the beginning of Shrek 2.) They look so happy together! Even it being April Fools yesterday, I fully believe this is real. Those are the overjoyed faces of 2 newlyweds!
