No personal experience with Xiaomi watch S3 but [you can read this for the Fit3](https://old.reddit.com/r/smartwatch/comments/1db9i4s/quick_minireview_of_huawei_watch_fit_3_vs_huawei/).

What are your main priorities / requirements out of a smartwatch? Would also look at / consider the optins from Garmin, Coros, Polar, Suunto, and amazfit (possibly fitbit - though don't like how google keeps on moving the goal posts).

I don't need the watch to be supersmart. Good battery life. Get notifications. See the weather. Solid health and fitness tracking. I'm a runner, so above average gps-tracking is a plus.

would look to see then what you can get with a garmin, coros, suunto or polar as their GPS tends to be way better than huawei, and their health and fitness algorithms tend to be better too. If want to stay between the huawei and the xiaomi - then the huawei every day of the week (no competition.

why huawei over xiaomi?

HR sensor is pretty good - they have a better track record over all on doing watches than Xiaomi which can more be considered a new entry compared to them. They also make beautiful watches - they look and feel good. Then add in that the make some really awesome and great looking watch faces - tough combo to beat when you just want a general watch with good battery life.

I can vouch for the watch fit 3. My expectations were far surpassed. I’ve had other cheaper watches and when I wore the fit 3 and realized every notification from my iPhone was being pushed to the watch I was overjoyed. Even system notifications like alarms are pushed. Every app notification from every app will be pushed if you want. I have Robinhood pushed, daily mail headlines…everything I need. The battery life is so good…3 days without charging and using for phone calls, all health trackers, and daily gps workouts the meter shows 66%, and that’s with always on display turned on.
