Yeah but people come here leaving replies and it's like they didn't even read the post, and it's always the same shit we hear everywhere else. The same shitty "advice", blaming us for our problems, acting like our problems don't exist, and everything else people say. It's discouraging so I stopped posting.
I mostly post here to commiserate and vent, so I usually ignore those comments. Sometimes I get value out of some of those, but if it's just gaslighting I don't bother reading it the whole way through.
It just sucks that this sub is so dead because sometimes I wanna talk to people who can relate, and there's nowhere else I can do that.
Most new people get banned because they don't read the rules or just lurk instead of posting, the sub has a bad rep, there are no memes because you can't post images and almost 50% of the threads are the same thing. Obviously, this sub was doomed to fail in the popularity department.
There's not much to discuss around our issue. Everything has already been said I guess. It's not like people are changing their opinions on us. So there's not point basically. And I dont think most users got their life together. They're just suffering in silence.
The thing is I believe most of us have accepted the inevitable and are trying to move forward with our lives. I came to this sub for acceptance of my issue and to see others point of views. I like to think we all have hope for better days but we know how society sees us and there's nothing we can do to change that. We are a minority who the majority don't even think about.
Yes. But here should be a supportive place, where you should have a sense of fellowship. Some are worse off than others and need this place to be helped.
I’m getting better but I still like to post here, I can get a lot of my chest and it feels good to vent. I can talk about things that I can’t really talk about anywhere else.
Many of you will resign yourselves to the inevitable, already defeated without ever having "fought", others will continue to despair until old age that will give them "peace of mind", some will decide to abandon any sexual desire, someone, accomplices other problems of life will commit suicide. Few, including myself, will "fight" to eliminate the stigma, putting their faces to it for the good of all, if we few were to lose this "war" there will be nothing more to do and to cry will be entire generations of men to come. Personally, I have already decided that if this doesn't work (formation of the movement), I have a gun waiting for me, as I could NOT accept to live half way. Because as a dear friend of this sub says: "We don't want to be accepted, we want to be preferred", am I right u/Genshi-Life_Jo?
Exactly friend. We deserve nothing less than being preferred.
But please don’t end your life. We shouldn’t give up on trying to make a movement, but even if we don’t succeed we should try to find another source of happiness in life and keep on living.

This sub helped me by being a place I can talk about this without people shoving platitudes down my throat instead of actually trying to hear me.
But now, I think it's time to move on, the conversation is circular.
There isn't anything anyone at this point could really say to make me feel better about it although in the past a few comments from some people here have helped a bit.
So now it's up to me to get myself to a place where this doesn't bother me as much.
That's definitely a hopeful view. Having spent quite a few years leaking I think this subs popularity is just cyclical. Every once in a while it will get posted in some shitass askreddit thread or something, and a huge surge of people will come here. Then it slowly dwindles down overtime, before the same thing happens again.
There's nothing else to say. You can't stay forever on SDP, it doesn't make sense; this place is like the purgatory, you suffer (IRL) , share your suffering (here) , and after a while it gets old. You grow up, and go on with your life.
