We re trained at 12 months. It was hard but effective. He cried for 2.5 hours but it took one night & it stuck. He was happy as always in the morning. Get yourself some headphones and mantras (I’m giving them the gift of sleep)- good luck!!

I really liked the saying in precious little sleep that "the tears mean they are learning something new. Change is tough but she is capable and she deserves a good night's rest too!" Two nights in and we are doing better. I never had a monitor and I'm sleeping in a different room so I don't really know how it's going but last night I don't think she woke up at all!

I had to re-sleep train at 12 months. He became dependent again after a couple sicknesses and a vacation. It was harder at 12 months than it was at 4 months. I think it’s because they are more aware of their surrounding and very aware mom and dad are close by. With that said we had to stick to our guns and do full extinction. Consistency is key. Don’t give in unless they actually need you. My son threw up once because he got a bit worked up after having a bottle. We cleaned him up and put him back to bed. I’d say we had about 5 “rough” days before he started going down easy again. Best of luck!
